I am at a stall. I had surgery one month ago. Down 20 pounds. I eat about 1000-1200 calories daily, and ride my bike at 21MPH for one hour six days a week. My clothes are feeling wonderful with muscles tightening up everywhere. But I feel the scale should be showing a bigger loss. A fear for me is could I be eating too little calories? I'm afraid that my body is thinking that it's in starvation mode and holding onto what I eat. FYI - my calories are 80% protein. Less than 10g of sug...

8 inches in 8 weeks! Just bought a new pair of dress pants with a 44" waist. Two days before I started the weight loss challenge I bought a pair of 52s - my biggest ever. I may burn those tonight. They are never going on this body again.

Well I had to do a 6 month dietican supervised diet first for insurance purposes, I lost 25 pounds in those six months. The rest of the weight has come off since my 2 week pre op diet. For the most part 50 pounds of it has come off since June 22nd.
I cant wait for the fill. I try to eat mostly protein to keep me full longer, however it gets kind of boring. I really cant wait to have bread. I have 2 weeks for that.
I am not doing to bad with the weight loss, I am about 11-12 down since 1st week post op. I totally understand the impatient part. Its like I know what to do I just dont always do it.

I just had my 1 day orientation at the hospital yesterday. There was so much to think about, and to be honest one minute I am thrilled, and the next I am filled with doubts.
Can't figure out why I am holding on to all the failures, all the eating to cope, and all the loss of "normal" life because I am afraid I don't know how to live without food.
I remember after my heart attack I woke up ready to change my life, and I stuck with that diet and 30 lbs weight loss, and I was so committed. So why am I only lukewarm right now? Afraid of another failure? Of disappointment?
I have a big decision, do I embrace a new lease on life or do I stay afraid? Tonight I would say I still don't know.
