    Unflavored protein powder

GENEPRO unflavored mixed in ANYTHING. It is truly flavorless!! I bought it on Amazon
  3. So, I have not had too much luck finding a Protein that doesn't have a nasty aftertaste. I've told you about GENEPRO unflavored that is truly unflavored and can go into everything....but THIS I discovered today, and I have to share. 8 oz skim milk (8gm protein) 1 full scoop of Syntrax Cookies and creme protein (23 gms protein) 1 spoonful of Hershey unsweetened cocoa powder handful of ice cubes mix in your vitamixer or magic bullet. OMG!! DESSERT!!!!!!! no aftertaste, no protein taste at all! Just tastes like a chocolate milkshake, only BETTER!

    No energy on soup

Same here I'm thinking about ordering some Genepro unflavored protein and just put it in everything. I'm hoping that helps with the fatigue.
  5. Your posts sound a little like you are bouncing off the walls! lol I can imagine I will be just as excited as you are today. If you order the GENEPRO from Amazon, I got it delivered in 3 days. I was shocked that it really and truly has no taste. I tried the unjury unflavored in my oatmeal, and had to throw it away. It had a horrible after taste. I even tried holding my nose to eat it, and nope, couldn't do it. I'll be following you to see what kind of Vitamins are suggested, as I haven't looked into those yet. I may just purchase them from my surgeons office. Take care, and try to calm down! HA!!
  6. Genepro unflavored. It really and truly is flavorless. I add it to crystal lite. It can be added to everything!

    Isopure problems?

I've tried Isopure, and didn't like it. I got some Genepro-unflavored off Amazon, and it's 40gms of Protein per table spoon. I mixed it in my Water bottle with crystal light peach tea, and I could only taste the peach tea!!! I found the ONE!!!
  8. I only tried the unjury vanilla and I hate it. It's too sweet for the early stages after surgery. But I think if you add it to fruit later on it may taste better. I prefer Genepro unflavored because I can add it to anything and it is the most tasteless off all the 14 different proteins I tried. A scoop is also tiny, about 1 tablespoon for 30 gr of protein versus an enormous scoop for 25 gr of Unjury. Genepro was delicious added to chicken stock those first 2 weeks after surgery when I could hardly eat. Saved me!

What is the best unflavored protein?

I like Genepro also, because it's not like a 1/4 cup serving to get the protein in, it's a tablespoon for one serving. Hands down the best unflavored... pricey, but hey, it's worth it.

into my 3rd week need advice

Jenadenise Yes the refried Beans are usually pretty creamy, if they aren't add a touch of chicken broth to thin them, or salsa. I put a 1/2 a scoop of GENEPRO, stir it up then add thin slices of 2% sharp cheddar on top. I got my Genepro from I'll pump you up.com. Good luck it gets better.

into my 3rd week need advice

Brazos2425 are they the refried Beans that are already mashed up? Also shredded cheese? What is GENEPRO and where can I get it?

into my 3rd week need advice

Have you tried some tylenol for inflammation? I did the cream of tomato Soup and cream of wheat during my puree phase. I had my VSG 11-6 and have started adding refried Beans w/ cheese a bit of salsa. OH..take gas ex chewables they saved me from being so bloated. Full for me is like pressure on my rib cage. I add GENEPRO to darn near everthing to get in my Protein, and sip, sip, sip.
  14. I have been using GENEPRO scince I came home from the hospital 3weeks ago because the sweetness in the shakes I had pre-op make me gag now...go figure. 6am and 6pm 1 cup braums FF milk + 1/2 scoop Genepro=25G each cup and it adds 16oz to my Fluid intake. I add it to my chili, my refried Beans, cant even taste it. Some people even use it coffee *****LOVE THIS STUFF *****
  15. I was sleeved on 11/3/14, so I am 4 weeks out today. I am having just a terrible time with everything! Don't get me wrong, I am still so, so happy that I did this because the alternative of continuing on the road I was on before surgery is unacceptable. I guess I'm just hoping to hear that you've all been through these same things and it will all be ok. Here's a list of my woes........ 1. I stay nauseated almost all the time unless I just don't eat or drink anything. That would be fine with me, but I start getting weak and dizzy, and I don't want to get dehydrated and end up in the hospital. 2. I stay constipated ALL the time! I won't give any more details than that because I know you all have been there and know what I'm talking about. 3. I'm supposed to be on soft foods and purees, but nothing I've tried tastes good to me at all and most food hurts my tummy. The only thing I have found that doesn't hurt, of course, is instant mashed potatoes, which is super high in carbs and low/no protein. 4. I have gotten so sick of protein shakes that they make me gag, and even my Genepro added to decaf coffee is beginning to make me gag, so I'm not getting my protein in. 5. I'm only getting about half my fluids in (see #1 of this list). If one of you is my fairy godmother, please wave your wand and make it all better. Otherwise, any words of wisdom you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

What is the best unflavored protein?

GENEPRO.... is oderless and tasteless and does not clump. You can add it to hot or cold....or just sprinkle over your food. One tablespoon equals a scoop of whey and has 30 grams of Protein. It is approved by John Hopkins and has 96% absorbtion. You can also order it from Amazon. I fix a Crystal Light Lemonade (others are too sweet for me) and sip on it all day at my desk!!! You can order samples from their site at http://www.musclegen.net/ . Just click shop and it is listed as "Genepro Sample Pack". You get two 1TB pouches which are 30g of protein each. They are currently $2.00 each pack plus shipping. Had my blood work done in October and I am right on target with my protein.

    Protein powder recommendations?

I just ordered GENEPRO... I haven't really tried anything else, but I've heard it dissolves in almost anything and you can use it in hot or cold foods. I liked that it only takes one TBS for 30 g of Protein compared to some powders using 1/4-1/2C for the same amount of protein. I will test it out and give you the feedback as soon as it arrives! Sheena :-)

    Chico ca

Tomorrow is my first day back to college. I have been playing catch up for my macro and microeconomics classes that I have tomorrow. Gosh I fell behind 5 chapters between the 2 classes ugh. @@Ldimples pureed food fills me up way to fast I have noticed. It is very easy to overeat and get that uncomfortable feeling you refered to even after only a few small bites. I have been sticking to lite and fit greek yogurt with 1 scoop (1Tbs) of GENEPRO unflavored Protein in it. I eat 2 5oz yogurts a day. That gives me 84g of protein a day from only eating 10oz of yogurt through out the day. I really have no desire to eat which is good so I just focus on getting down my 2 yogurts a day, getting my fluids in, and walking. I hope you have a good day at work tomorrow. Remember to takenit easy and be careful not to over do it.
  20. @@bobbyswife I love Genepro it has been the best thing I have tried yet!
  21. Have you tried Genepro?
  22. CheleLynn45

    Genepro

I use the GENEPRO every morning in my hot decaf tea. I put a scoop in my cup add a little bit of the hot tea, stir it really good then add the rest of the tea, my creamer and splenda. I add it to 32oz of liquid. This way I am getting in my Protein and half my liquid for the day.

Check in: Week of Nov 17th Sleevers!

Hello fellow November sleevers! Surgery date: Nov 19th preop diet weight: 460 Surgery weight: 430 Current weight: 412 I had a great surgery with very little pain and almost no nausea. I keep feeling better and better everyday. I went from not being able to stand for more than 5 minutes at a time to walking 3 miles yesterday which was a huge victory for me. I am not able to eat very much about 2oz at a time and I don't even feel like eating that. I am so sick of Protein shakes the taste is just to much to even think about so I have been getting in my protein from GENEPRO unflavored Protein powder mixed into greek yogurt. It takes me all day to eat 2 yogurts (10oz) but it gets me my 84g of protein and the rest of the day I focus on my liquid intake. It is amazing to not be hungry all the time. It was also amazing to see all that food on Thanksgiving and to be happy with just my yogurt. I have been obese since early childhood and I have no idea what it is like to not be obese. I really hope I get to experience a normal BMI at least once in my lifetime. But for now I will be grateful for the ability to walk again. Being able to go on a walk with my husband and dogs overwhelmed me yesterday to the point I want to cry tears of joy as I write this. I look forward to many more tears of joy on this journey!

    Genepro

I, too, use Genepro ALOT. I have noticed that even when I mix it in crystal light some of it seems to settle in the bottom. I just give it shake whenever I take a drink. However, I can see whee that wouldn't work too well in a cup of coffee. I guess I would just keep a spoon handy and give it a stir every so often. I also use it in my sugar-free pudding. SF Caramel pudding in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, mix in my Genepro, put Tbsp of cool whip on top--- YUM! Get my "sweet" snack and protein too!

    Genepro

I virtually live on GENEPRO and Quest bars. I find it best to add it to things that are not too hot. I know some Protein powders explicitly state on the label they can't be used at 140 degrees or higher. I don't believe Genepro has that warning but it works better if the liquid isn't too hot and you add it very slowly, stirring as you add and allowing it to disolve. I use Genepro and Quest bars because they are so darned convenient for me. Fast food for WLS I guess you could say. Congratulations on your surgery. Blessings, Kathleen
