I was sleeved 4/18. And now I don't have any bladder leakage or urge incontinence. I've been battling with this for a long time. Tried surgery and all types of meds with no relief. And suddenly it went away after my wls. I'm so elated. I hope it stays this way. Has anyone else experienced this? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

How Did You Decide On A Goal Weight?
jea(n__n)ette replied to eyeononederland's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My goal is to get down to 130 pounds, my former weight when I was 18-21. Even at those ages I was very sedentary. So if I can get toned and go back to wearing size 10, it'll be a NSV for me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using the BariatricPal App -

@@Inner Surfer Girl fantastic feeling, yes? I did the same last month and after being required to get my suits online, it is liberating and worth celebrating. I can't wait until you post about you surfing as a NSV - it will happen! And you'll be in a cute swimsuit to boot!

Having gone from 245 to 145 in less than a year I am so happy and thankful! However the scale doesn't reflect everything right my friends....So I love this topic because it gets us thinking about the awesome perks of losing weight beyond the scale! Here's my update : 1. My wedding ring is falling off - need a re- size 2. My pants never seem "tight enough" how many of us felt like our pants were previously cutting off our circulation ? Lol 3. I get complimented on my clothing by strangers .... Never happened before as I was always wearing frumpy clothes to cover up 4. Strangers in stores ask me " are you always this happy" .... Even though they don't know why- you guys get it .... " yes!!! Yes I am" 5. Finally - only regret .... Why the heck didn't I do this sooner ! Lovin life again

DID ANYONE WISH THEY HAD, OR DID TAKE VERY CREATIVE BEFORE AND AFTER PICS?
jane13 replied to Womanvsmirror's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Womanvsmirror and @@cat.jackson89 I would recommend measuring yourself too. The best NSV is when I can put on smaller clothing. When I stall for a week or two the inches are usually dropping when the scale hasn't moved. -
Just wanted to share this- Pre surgery, I cooked up a STORM for my family of 5, which includes two teenaged boys who EAT. And eat. My kids will bypass fast food any day for a home cooked meal. They actually prefer it, along with fruits and veggies. So, being a typical mom, I didn't want them eating garbage while I was recovering. My lovely mom even contributed to my stockpiled freezer. My family had meals for 4 entire weeks. Last week I was moved to a general diet and finally blew through all the cooked frozen meals. Here's the kicker- I have been cooking all of those meals once again, and I'm ok with it. I really didn't think I would be able to, knowing there were things I could not eat at this point. But I did. And have enjoyed it. So, a different kind of NSV, but exciting nonetheless. Even made Desserts. Didn't want a single bite of any of it either.

Wonderful! I think this is a GREAT NSV. I can't wait for something like that to happen. I've not donned a bathing suit in many many many years. ISG - thanks for sharing!

It may not seem like a big deal, but this week I stopped in at Target and bought a bathing suit top off the rack. I didn't try it on but I got one size smaller than the one I have been wearing. Today, when I got to the pool I tried it on and actually looked at myself, in my bathing suit, in front of a full length mirror. The suit fit, and I looked pretty good all things considered.

A lap?! Fabulous NSV, congratulations. -
I am sitting here in the tub trying to enjoy a hot bath. However, I am trying to find a comfortable way to sit. Where did all of these bones on the backside of my body come from? I keep moving around, but can't find anywhere that doesn't hurt to sit for more than a few minutes. NSV for sure!! What are some of your recent NSV?

October 2015 Sleevers How Is It Going?
jintycb replied to ididit34's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just spotted this thread-I'm 21st Oct '15 surgery date. Down 53lbs to 150 and have got just under 30lbs to lose. I am loving how I am feeling and just wish that I had had the VSG years ago. It's taken years off me and as I am hurtling headlong to my 60th birthday later this year every little helps. As I couldn't give a flying fart about behaving in a normal, grown up manner, I am starting to add to my eccentricities starting by throwing conventional behaviour to the four winds. My clothes are now bought for fun and not function, I make loud comments (more to embarrass my pals!) when I see worthy male anatomy when out and about, and I am driving far too fast in my Fiat 500c Abarth (black with red and black leather interior). When I got the car two months pre-op I wasn't sure whether it was such a good idea as my arse was really too big to fit into it's sporty little seats properly. Now, no problem. Not even snug. Just need the warmer weather so that I can have the hood down and really pose. Ain't life fun? All the NSV just keep adding up to one HUGE smile.
