Can not get in more than 50 gr, protein a day. Nut wants 70. I get sick to my stomach after first 10 sips each time. Takes like 3 hours to drink one. UGH!!!

2 years out, since I got my groovy band accessory... (I tell my grandkids that its a cool accessory,so that I don't freak them out too bad). I had lost 50 lbs.. gained about 10 lbs back... After a pep talk by another surgeon and my fill nurse, I'm back with the program and have lost about 4 lbs. in about 2 weeks. Have been really busy lately, getting ready for my son to get back from Afganistan and his wedding. 53# down since Jan 25, hopefully another 10 before Sept.8. It felt so good to be able to pick a dress out that looks really good on me. I'm so excited:)

Met with the doctor yesterday and everything went amazingly! She was super sweet and she told me that since I have already lost so much weight she only wants me to lose another 10 pounds before the surgery, as long as all appointments fall into place I should be getting my surgery at the end of September! So excited!

got my second fill today, 1 cc. Doc was happy with the 10 lbs loss for this month, if hes happy im happy! on to my next 10!

it flew pretty fast for me lol i dont know why. i had to do the 6th month thing, they just want to make sure everything will be ok for your body to go under something major. they do a lot of tests. my first appt. was september 11th 2008 holy cow, i was nervous but excited as well lol wow i dont even remember what went on that day hmm but i always remember the second appt the most. good luck
i know, saw the dr yesturday they gave me medicine for a possible UTI bleghh second time getting that since being banded which is because im not drinking enough waterr. i had blue cross blue shield child health care plus which ends when you turn 19. i dont get to get fills until i get a new insurance i dont see my surgeon again till i get a new insurance annndd if i really need to see a dr ill fish out the cashh like my mom did yesturday.

Hi Jinjin, I just started week 10 post op. I had 2 stalls within 8 weeks. My first 4 weeks were awesome...lost 30 lbs. Then at week 5 I came to a screeching halt...I even gained close to 3 lbs in weeks 5, 6, and 7. Yes, I had a 3 week stall and was freaking out the whole time!!! Reading these boards helped me so much. I stopped weighing myself every day, now just weigh-in every other day. Somewhere between week 8 and 9 I stalled again for a few days...BUT, after all is said and done...Since July 1st (the date my first stall started) I have lost another 7 lbs. And I'm good with that. If you look at some postings of long-time sleevers, you see the number of lbs. lost really go down after the 1st and second month. I've realized it isn't how fast I get it off, but that I KEEP getting it off...and ultimately that it stays off. I was complaining on previous posts that when I stalled at about 30-35 lbs, this was the same amt I've lost on countless other diets, it felt like the same old bad vibe. BUT with my pre-op diet loss, I am at 45 lbs. lost. Now that is a new one for me! I have not seen this weight since I was a teen. And now I know, the weight loss may stall, but it will not stop anytime soon. Stop worrying! You WILL keep losing and you will become happier and healthier! It took me a week or 2, but now I'm not worried, I am just trying to stick to the rules...and rule#1 for me, low carbs...40g or under a day if I can; less than 1000 cal a day if I can, and all my Water. Exercise is my issue right now, but it may not be a coincidence that when it increased, my weight decreased and my stall broke. I am a very "the glass is half full" kind of person, and this is what I now say to myself: "I CAN'T wait for my next stall !!!" Because that means between now and then I will lose some weight, and then once the stall is over, I will lose again!!! Yay for stalls!! (I know, I know...get over myself! ) Take care, I hope some of these words are helpful to you.

Im on Optifast, week#2.... My favorite "recipe" 1 chocolate optifast 1 packet of sweetner 1-1 1/2 tbsps of decaf coffe crystals 11/2 cup Water Pack blender with ice, blend til smooth!!!! Also i find the bovril beef bouillon super helpfull 10 calories per packet. Lots of water and crystal light!! Msg me if u want to talk

Hi Cindylou, I have a 10 cc band...don't know what that means....the defill was not as band...feel a little relief but nothing major...I guess time will tell. What was your recovery like? -
