Thanks for thinking of me. I am doing well, just had my first fill last week. I am at about 50 total loss. I'm trying to spend a lot of time at the gym and less in my recliner! Hope you are doing well, too!

No Degas for me - just peppermint tea and loads of walking. Walking, even now, helps with the gas build up after I eat. And man, is there a LOT of gas! LOL!
I'm glad the pre-op appt went well - I think you've been a champ on your diet, you're doing so well! Despite not losing much weight at the mo, I'm still really positive that this the change we've been looking for. And if your dr's right, then you and I are definitely on the road to weight loss city!
And yeah, work has quite good kitchen facilities, but because I start work early and finish late, I don't often feel motivated to make something to bring in. But today I walked to the shops about 20 mins away and got some prawns in coconut curry. Luckily I still tolerate spicy foods really well, so they were nice. I'll keep going there I think. Plus it forces me out of the office and into some exercise.
Damn I wish you were closer to me! We could chat about this stuff in person!

That is great about the clothes, not about the work or the crotch
I have a selection of work clothes that will get me through quite a few kilos of my loss which is great!
Canteen food tends to be like that, I hope you can bring in your own or have somewhere near you that has healthier options for those days you can't be bothered making your lunch!
Do you have an area you can heat up your own food??
I will definitely be taking the 2 weeks!! And no it isn't long now!! Had my preop with the surgeon today! Just a formality, only 15minutes. He did say that there appears to be a correlation between those who lose weight well on the preop doing well after the surgery
Preop Nurse Friday! Did you use Degas after your surgery??

Hey girl. How are you doing? I haven't talked to you in a while. How's the weight loss going?

Thank you soooooo much for your reply that is exactly what i needed to hear. I needed to know the facts from someone who has had the band. The dietitions and Doctors can tell you all they want but its from the real patients that I find so much more helpful so thankyou. Please keep me posted on your weight loss Im really interested on how you are going.
Feel free to make comments on my blog beenabeena.blogspot.com(as you know)
There are no comments made yet on my blog so i would love to get some feedback.
Have a good night

I go for a fill on Mondy, the 23rd and am hoping that will help kick start the weight loss again, i've been struggling big time lately and really need to get back on the wagon. I also need to start to slow down when I eat, I definitely eat too much. Congrats on the weight 21# loss in a month. I have lost 17# since my surgery 7 weeks ago.

Hi! my name is toni-lisa and i live in the philadelphia area. I was a dancer MANY years ago and so i know what it feels like to be in an athletic level of fitness. But that seems like a far away dream now
since i am now at my highest weight EVER! HATING IT !!!!!!!!!!
huff and puff just walking across a room. stay pretty reclusive.
most of my professional pursuits don't require that I interact with the public all that much. I am an author\ children's photographer \ painter\ custom beaded jeweler. In the mid-90's I was also a speaker and performer ... which i adored !!!!! there is no more magical feeling (for me) than having an audience in the palm of my hand. I love it when they laugh. I love it when they cry. I truly have a Cinderella story which touches people deeply. VERY briefly: I was SEVERELY clinically depressed and suicidal for 20 years. I always had enough pills to end my life. After every medical option had been tried and re-tried .....
someone suggested Jesus. As a Jewish woman ....i didn't think that was too swell a solution and i knew that my family's reactin would be one of horror. But I had nothing to lose at that point and so I tried Jesus. Perhaps needless to say .... over the course of 2 years He healed me and I have not had a clinical depression since 1980.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!! My first book is about the experience of my healing and the things that the LORD taught me duruing my burgeoning journey. I'm writing a novel now and when it is finished I know that I will want to get back on the road and talk about the content of this new book. But I reallly can't at my present weight. I don't have the stamina or interest or initiative. I am scheduled for a Lap Band on July 28th although i have not been approved yet. (My Dr. assures me that approval will not be a problem because of the medical issues i have due to the excess weight.) I'm leary. I'm a little scared. I'm wanting health and fitness soooooo much but it feels a little out of reach today..... and yesterday ..... and the day before. I was seriously considering by-pass until about 3 days ago. Long story. But now I am pretty settled on lap band. Unless anyone of you can give me a good reason why by-pass would be a fine and dandy option.
I have a mother with Altzheimers and my only sibling has attempted suicide 3 times in the past 2 years. (He too suffers from clinical depression.) So I have a full plate and a lot of responsibilities .......
but i feel that i must proceed with this invaluable tool for weight loss
in order to get my life back. I MISS ME !!!!!!!!!

I love your user name. Does the RAVEN part refer to your dark hair? We all understand the Lunatic part. LOL

Sorry to take so long to respond. I have been on vacation until yesterday. The pain has subsided thank you. I have been at the same weight for the last 10 days, but I have gone two pant sizes. I am in a comfortable 16...yeah! I am on my way to the hospital to see a friend of mine that is having gastric bypass today. I hope you are well. It feels good when other people notice your weight loss. We should all throw out the scales until we get where we need to be....but I can't I am addicted. Take care-Donita

I logged my before and after on albums, but my pictures are blocked to the public and I don't know how to unblock them
I have been struggling with my last fill, have problems with food and sliming (ugh)I have to work on my chewing. the weight loss has slowed down, I trying to get my lazy butt back to walking, I really lagging, I know excercise is the key to losing weight, I just been going to so mcuh these last couple of months.
my goal is to be at 199 by Dec. 26. my 1 year anniversary. got about 38 lbs to go.
I lost my mother 5/21. and just recently been back on-line.
my faith in Jesus has kept me going.
keep me posted on your progress, have you started your Prue-op diet, try your hardest to stick to it. try to walk everyday, even if for only 5/10 mins. practice your chewing now, make it a habit.

PO Day #34. Lost just under 1 lb this week (32.6 from high point), but my appetite is getting more difficult to control. Still eating less than before, and although I say I want a slow and steady loss, it is disappointing not to see those large weight drops. Have returned to regular cooking, not having any trouble getting anything down. Keep concentrate on long view, practice mindful eating, and pat myself on my back for success! You go Girl!

Currently researching a possible link between body composition and weight loss. I have mostly all belly fat. It seems we tend to lose slow and have insulin problems. Hmmmm
-
Thanks girl!! 15 pounds of that was lost in the 2 weeks before surgery, but i just add it into my total because it was still a loss
I get my first fill next week..i'm nervous and excited. I hope it will help my hungry tummy not be so hungry!! My surgeon doesn't fill for the first time until 12 weeks post op.. I don't know why, but i trust him, so i;m hanging in there and just eating the right things.. I'm counting down the days

oh no!!! I hope everything is ok! Congrats on the weight loss! I haven't lost any weight in the last 3 weeks, although I haven't gone to the gym once, and am always REALLY hungry, i've been so busy though i haven't really had any time to let it bother me yet, and at least i haven't gained any weight. I hope everything is going good!

I don't mind helping at all! Aren't ragdolls the best?! I have a blue bi-color boy, who is my BIG boy.. he's so soft and cuddly. My other one is 1/2 ragdoll, 1/2 (Siamese I think), we got her from a ragdoll rescue. She is short hair but she looks like a seal lynx. My first ragdoll was a seal lynx mitted, she was beautiful, I miss her! If yours just turned 1, you still have a lot of growing to do on them. My first one, didn't finish changing color & size till about 4 years old. Between 2-4 she doubled in size, grew a big lion looking mane, and turned a pale chocolate color.Anyway hehehe.. I have several co-workers and friends that live in Decatur.
What support group do you go to? I didn't know there was one anywhere around here for banders.

sorry i dont check my computer that often. yes i am a nurse at the hospital and work in icu full time. i am stuck at 39 lbs and need to go to dm to have another fill. i am at 5.5 cc now. i still believe i am not tight enough and should have ad another fill a few months ago but its hard to find the time to get one. i too was not big enough to have the surgery but i paid cash. i am not sorry i had the procedure at all but am somewhat disappointed at results. i thought my wt loss would be more by now but on the upside of thsi i have not gained 1 pound since having the procedure onl;y lost so that part feels good. let me know where you are at with your journey and when your surgery is. like i said i dont check reg but i will reply when i can- shelley

Glad to hear you are doing better! Ah, blow drying the hair, always makes one feel better! I have had a good day, I think I over did it with my protein drink this morning, it made me feel horrible. I am feeling better this afternoon.
Every day is an adventure! I am having some head hunger today, will have to learn to deal with that. It is hard watching everyone else eat and not being able to dig in! Of course, I am not hungry, just wanting to eat!
