Thanks! I am so relieved. It's pretty scary to get back lab tests, including stress tests, that say you are on the downward slope...so now I want to get off all my meds...that's my second NSV goal!
-
Janey, that's wonderful news. The best NSV ever!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

My first NSV! My labs came back and the doc said they are all well within normal range. I am so excited because one of the reasons I had this surgery was my high lab tests and fear that any moment I'd be diabetic, have a heart attack or worse. Woooohoooooo! :clap2:

Congrats on your exciting NSV!

YAY! Thats so cool! I am so excited for you! I hope you wil get many more amazing nsv's like that one to come!

ok what is a NSV?
-
Robin - congratulations on your NSV's. Sometimes those are better than watching the scales. Simple stuff, too. Like being able to get in/out of a car without multiple pushes!
-
Robin - good job on the weight loss and on recognizing your nsv. Keep up the good work. Ericsmom - oh what a visual!!

Thanks. I used to get the cortisone as well, and they don't last very long. I tried some of those new injections that are supposed to last for 6 months to a year. They didn't work. 5 injections over a couple of weeks and absolutely no results. So this nsv is the best. Wow, that is great. It has to feel so good to slip behind that wheel and see that space. Good for you.:clap2:

I was looking for an NSV thread last night, too. My stomach used to buldge over the steering wheel when I drove, and now at just shy of 35 lbs down I can fit my hand in between my stomach and the wheel! That's so cool!! There was a time when DH and I were dating 20 years ago where I could fit inbetween him and the steering wheel when we'd go parking!! Those were the good 'ol days

Congrats to you on your NSVs!!! That's just super! My arthritis is still just as bad in my knees...I usually get cortisone in my knees, but it wears off after about a month. I go back to work on Aug. 28th, so on the 23rd I'm getting shots so I'm ready to go. Maybe it will last a bit longer now that I'm getting a bit lighter. I know I need a new knee, but I have to get through another school year before I can think about whether or not we're scheduling it for next summer or not. You are doing great!! Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

The other day, I had 3 people stop me to tell me they can see my weight loss. I am able finally to walk some distance without my cane :crutch: :clap2: And my drawers are getting droopy:clap2: :clap2: I've really been waiting to see a difference in my arthritis pain and getting to the point where I didn't have to depend on my cane, I'm getting old, but I hate looking like an old woman with that thing.

Congrats on your 1st NSV.

Yesterday I decided to go over to my sisters to help her paint her bathroom and when I was getting dressed I saw this pair of jean capri's that I love but I couldn't fit in to anymore this year (which made me pretty sad) so I decided to try them on just to see if I could even button them. At this point I don't know how much I've lost in a little over a week because my scale hasn't arrived yet. So I picked them up and slipped them right on with no trouble buttoning or zipping them up. They felt great and I felt even better then great! Having this surgery was SO worth it!

Congrats on your great NSV!!! What a great feeling!

I wasnt prepared for how amazing this would make me feel!! I got in the bath and i felt like something was different.. i realised that my hips no longer reach the sides! I am no longer a human dam stopping all up all the water! After i sprung outta the bath i THEN realised that my towel actually fits all the way round my body instead of either my bum or my boob poking out!! Theni got dressed and i critically examined myself and you know what.. i CAN see a difference! I have got a little slimmer! Obviously its early days but to finally see some kinda results.. There are no words to describe how excited i felt! sorry for rambling but just wanted to share! Best wishes

Congrats, Mary! I absolutely LOVE Levi's. They are so comfortable. I had a similar Levi's NSV last week. I fit into 3 styles of size 13 Juniors Levi's (below). I didn't buy any but it felt good! Slouch Flare 504™ Jeans (Juniors) (These are a lot like the Levi's I'm wearing in my "after" pics from March and June - www.triciakutz.com/surgery.html) Outlaw Flare Jeans (Juniors) Nomad Slouch Flare 504™ Jeans (Juniors)

Congrats Photonut-- you can shop ANYWHERE now!!!!!!!! That's a lifestyle changing NSV if I ever heard one! Hope you bought a pair of those jeans for yourself, or maybe even two.......maybe two is not the best idea though since you'll probably be rockin' a size 12 soon! Keep it up Sistah!

That is AWESOME! Levi's size 10!!!!!!! You rock the NSV casbah:clap2: ~

I went to Kohl's again yesterday. This time to try on jeans. For the first time in my whole entire life, I bought two pair of Levi's Jeans. Even at my skinniest 100 pounds (1980) I couldn't squeeze my thighs into a pair of Levi's. I know that Levi's come in relaxed fit, boot cut, low ride, and so on now that they didn't have in 1980, but I still got excited about owning my first ever pair of Levi's. I almost forgot to mention... size 10! Pre-band I was wearing Lane Bryant Cords size 20. Toot! Toot! :clap2:

Hello fellow losers!!! I'm reporting in for the Sept Challenge. Would you believe I stayed the same?!? Man, I thought for sure I would report at least the pound I lost last week. It is my TOM, but this is getting old. I talked to my surgeon's office and scheduled my first fill. I'm keeping my original follow-up for 9-18 and getting a fill at the same time. WAIT, I'm going to call them back and schedule it sooner. Why wait? It's time for my first fill. I have been playing with the same few lbs for weeks now. Can't wait to feel "real" restriction. I do have an NSV though......I'm now wearing some of my smaller sexier bras. Why do the boobs go first? I hope to wear my Victoria's Secret soon. They are my favorite. :biggrin1: Alicia ~ Way to go!!! You are a braver woman than I am. Keep us updated on your training. I started at the Y and will enjoy it more now with my Ipod. Hey Kim, where do you stand on a fill? Oops....I'm out of time. Need to leave for swim lessons. Where does the time go? Great job everyone!!! Thanks for keeping me motivated!!!

Trails in late.... C 225.5 (-81.5lbs total, -5 this week) Move me up on the honors! And here's an NSV to go with it: The last time I weighed this much, I was 16 years old. Oh and Paul - how do I do this bandless? Simple, I'm not. If I didn't have the wife's band to keep me in check, I doubt I would have made it this far. I think I'm now getting closer to being strong in my own right but I am so aware that one tiny slip and I could be right back where I was. Now if I could just follow the exercise fiends example and haul my butt to the gym I could even call myself.... fit. Laugh.

Congrats on your first NSV! Way too go! I know how good it feels and you can't help but want more NSV's!

So many nsv's to come.......this trip can be fun!! And good for you for getting out there and playing football!
