I just moved down to a size 22 I swear only 10 lbs ago. Today I purchased a size 20 jean. The lady at the store said "those run small" so I am thrilled. Yes, they are snug. But as far as I am concerned if they zip up they fit! Yippeee. I'm under 250 now on the scale.

They're both true, but I can't make up my mind which is more true. I hate liquids because I would really like a hamburger or some Chick-fil-a. I love liquids because they broke my stall. I've been stalled for 3 weeks now. I had my 4th. fill on Wednesday (9cc total) and Dr. Jay requires liquids for a whole week. I've lost 7 lbs. since Wednesday. :biggrin1: :clap2: :biggrin1: I've also had a NSV. I was trying to get ready for work and it took me 15 minutes to find a pair of pants that wouldn't make me look like an M.C. Hammer impersonator. That day my work handed out Wal-Mart giftcards for Xmas. So I figured I would use it to buy 2 pairs of workpants. I've been wearing size 22 pants. The ones I bought for work are 16/18!! They're a little snug but that means I'll be able to wear them longer. After Xmas I'll be going shopping for everyday clothes. I can't believe that I'm actually looking forward to going shopping. It is also time for a challenge update. Those three weeks at a stall have really shortened my chances of making this goal. I'll get close though and I'm happy with that.

Hi Inner me, Thanks for the stats...WOW! You did miss me... I am at 208. Slowly but surely.... NSV yesterday....as I was traveling from Dallas to SFO...the seat belt had alot more left over around my waist!!!!!!!! Also I seem to be getting more help from men with my luggage than before..... I guess 18 lbs on someone 5'3" is noticable! I did have a little slip at the airport...I wanted someting to eat on the plane, but was afraid to eat anything that might not go down well so I ordered a non-fat, fat-free yogurt chocolate malt....which before would have been icecream, sugar and with full fat if I indulged.... Well at least I am being a bit more conscious. I am not sure yet when to get my first fill....December or January...... so much to do!

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen! Well, it's not a Monday update...but it's an update! And, in my eyes you are all doing GREAT!!! Yes, it may be a little slower then what some of you were expecting, but you are making changes. Think back to where you were before the surgery. I KNOW that you cannot tell me that you are in the same place today that you were then. Guess what...little changes still are CHANGES, and in the end - they'll all add up to something great for each one of us. Here's my perfect example...what may be one or two, 10 or 20 pounds for you equals 927.9 for this November group! Yes, NINE HUNDRED TWENTY_SEVEN AND NINE TENTHS POUNDS!!!! (Of course a few had a little jump start like Kee!) Scale victories (SV) are great. But more importantly...look to the little changes - the nonscale victories (NSV). How many of you are more aware of what you're eating (even if it's the wrong foods) then you were before? How many of you are doing more (walking, cleaning, cooking vs. carryout) then before? How many of you have noticed that maybe the scale hasn't moved, but your waist line has? And as Carol, who use to be a lurker :grouphug: has just stated, you're inspirational to those who are newly banded or still waiting there turn...such as me. Hey everyone! Just wanted to post something that happened to me while shopping in NYC. I was with my best friend and we were walking down 5th Avenue. We're stopped at a crosswalk and a man taps me on the shoulder and says... "Excuse me miss. I don't typically do this but I really feel I need to tell you something." Of course, I'm thinking something terrible...food in teeth, split my pants...whatever. He says, "I've walked the streets in Manhattan my entire life and I have to tell you that you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen" HELLO!!??? I haven't had a compliment from other than my husband in years! My friend said I was smiling so wide she thought my face would crack! I LOVE NEW YORK!!:grouphug:

Oooh panty NSV's rock!!! I left my big'uns in the drawer for inspiration!! I'm wearing pretty lacy new ones that were a treat for when I eventually could fit into them. Now theyre the only ones not sagging! LOL!! Don't see myself jumping into a thong any time soon though! LMAO!! Faybie, 16's eh? That's got to feel good. Congrats!!!

That is awesome faybie!!! I have had that feeling with some of my pants. this morning i actually put on a pair of undies I couldn't fit anymore prior to surgery (because my husband is unemployeed and slacking on the laundry) and they fit perfect. a panty NSV!!! hahaha

I feel so sad and depressed...... on many levels. Is this band going to work on me? I feel anxiety over this.... like a restless feeling. Almost as if I am paranoid that it wont work. I have to feel like this for how long? A year? Until I actually see results? I had my first fill on Dec 5th ... he put in 1.7 cc and then put me on liquids for 3 days. All was good until the 4th day..... damn..... I figured out that I can still eat almost a whole sand, almost a whole slice of pizza... etc. I feel just a tad bit tighter. I wish he would have just put all of it in. I do not have $350 to go back- tleast not this month. (christmas and then my daughters birthday) I would feel to selfish spending it. I just feel like damn it.... this sucks. And of course the whole world seems to know that I had this amazing surgery done.... and they all ask me how much I have lost. My dumb scale keeps going up and down. The same numbers. I have no NSV. My clothes are still tight. The past 3 days all I have had was 3 slim fasts..... too mad to eat.... and then get this- when I do make a plate- I get upset cause I feel like I am wasting it. Almost as if I have to convince my body that I must eat it! and amazingly - it all goes down. Ugh! I think I will be fat forever- its got to be in my genes. ~Raynie!

Thank you Robin!!! Just got my secret santa. Loved it all! I think Robin must have had a link to my mind. Pear berry bath set with body spray, lotion, shower gel and bubble bath (one of my NSV's will be being able to take a bubble bath again). Also some coffee cake candles...smell so yummy and a great little machine for relaxing sounds. I use one of these to help me sleep at home but it is such a pain to take when I travel. This will be such a help on those trips. And it has WIND CHIMES....my favorite! thanks you again Robin! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

hello all! barb465-so are you recovered from your fill kicking in? i seem to keep losing and finding the same 2 pounds! what is that all about? i did my own step route last night for 20 mins. boy was i panting and sweating at the end of that! i took last week off, and i think i shouldn't have. even though the scale is not acting right i have a couple of nsv. the new bras that i purchased on my pre-honeymoon back in september now have lots of space in the cup. enough room to hold my cell phone and some dollar bills! also i went to the store last night to christmas shop and decided i owed myself at least one pair of pants that fit right (not scrapping the ground). but, instead of pants or jeans, i saw a denim skirt i wanted. well, i tried the 5/6. it was a tad snug, but still fit because it was that stretch denim. i didn't feel confident enough to wear it. the next size up was the 9/10. i got it! then last saturday i sent my husband to the store to get me some pantyhose for church on sunday. i told him to get size "c" which is down from my usual queen size (and pre-banding i was a queen plus). well, they didn't have any size "c" so he got size "b". and they fit! amazing. so, i guess the band is working, even if the scale isn't cooperating with me!

Huge plateau for me now, only 16lb to go and its just not moving, but I did have some clothes NSV's so I am still shrinking ever so slowly. prior to that I averaged 1-2lb per week.

Pinkylee --When was the last Holiday season you can say that your weight staid pretty much the same?? I can't remember the last season I didn't gain weight. Don't fret over it. You will be fine. Barbara --sorry to hear you had such terrible night with your band. These bands can be fickel. I had a NSV shopping Sunday. I ran into Dillards and needed 2 pairs of pants and a sweater (I wanted a new out fit for xmas). I seriously have not tried on clothes since losing weight. I have primarly been shopping in my closet and picked up a pair of jeans at the store a few months back. Well, I pulled a pair of 16 pants off the wrack and the sales lady showed me a few more pairs similar. One pair she said, these look to run big, you better take a 14. Ofcourse, the regular 14's didn't fit but the reg 16s, every pair I tried on fit. One pair of pants I ended up with a 14W because the didn't have it in 16 R. The Sweater is a XLarge (Regular). I have not lost my boobs --band size yes, cup size no. Melissa Lea

I personally think NSV's give us more to celebrate than where the dial is on the scale...it is so satisfying to pass a 'lifestyle' milestone. Becky

Way to goralheit and kat! Losingjusme, you'll be surprised how quickly time will fly and you'll be asking for booths in no time. My new NSV's are that I can sit on the inside seat on the bus without being uncomfortable or inconveniencing the person who sits on the outside. Also, yesterday marked the 6th flight in a row that I haven't needed a seatbelt extender, so I think I'll turn mine in soon! Lastly, for the first time in YEARS, I don't hate the pictures of myself that were taken on my mini vacation this weekend. My face is starting to look like the old me!

I on the other hand am kicking myslef for getting rid ofold clothes that I never hoped to wear again.... But I have a couple of NSV's!!! 1. I used to hang dry a lot of my clothes, because I could not allow ANY shrinkage. I now dry EVERYTHING I own!!! And some of it I dry actually trying to shrink it!!! 2. I am going to have to buy new boots...mine from the last 2 years, are just plain old too big. I used to have to be very careful not to zip my calf in the zipper. This year I can slide my hand down inside the boot with my leg, and even the foot part is just sloppy on me. Yea new boots!!! Merry Christmas to me!!! Look forward to hearing everyone elses NSV's!!! I am finally pulling all the clothes from the back of my closet...and they fit again!!! My winter coat that I haven't been able to wear for 2 years now buttons and has room to spare. And tonight, I went out to dinner with some work associates and when they took us to a booth I just cringed. I not only got in the booth but I had room between me and the table.
