    Carbs

I snack on hard boiled eggs, mozzarella cheese sticks, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots and apples. Also Greek yogurt.
  2. Also I tolerate premier shakes, sugar free pudding and zero sugar okios yogurt. I really want to try scrambled egg whites.

    Any Nymphs Feeling Restriction!

I'm pretty sure I'm at the best restriction because I am not able to eat a lot of my favorites, like the spicy chicken strips sold at the grogery store. I usually grab a couple for me and one non-spicy strip for Sam, my cocker spaniel. I just can't eat them. I've really had some very painful experiences and it is always while I'm driving. I also can't eat nuts. eggs don't work well. I was planning on eating eggs as my main source of Protein but that went by the wayside. I eat a lot of tofu. I've gotten "in" to curries lately. I had about three small bites of roast beef last night and had to give up on that. It is a good thing I still have Protein powder left so I can add some to my yogurt or I would be really short on my protein. I guess 7.5 on my 10 is where I need to be. I usually forget my Vitamins so I'd better start remembering those. Weight loss? I'm still 45 down from my highest but not moving. It takes will power even at a good restriction to not eat my favorites. It is just a good thing I don't like ice cream. I need to work out more. I've been off my tread mill because I've been fighting a 3 week session of a cold. I need to get back on and ratchet up the calorie useage. Bottom line is you can work around the band if you want. THe band is a great tool but it is up to us to use it correctly. Hang in there everyone.
  4. I am paying for it private as the NHS advised it could take up to 3 years!!! Not started the pre op yet due to start next week, it consists of 3 pint of semi skimmed milk, 2 yogurts an 2l of water a day by the look of it I was given the option of both also and like yourself i felt the bypass was a bit too much so i opted for the sleeve as its less intrusive. Where about in the Uk are you from?
  5. I'm only 3 1/2 weeks out I was fine up until about 2-3 days ago. Watching others eat fast food or even just normal food was ok with me. All of a sudden anytime someone cooks or brings food home, I literally dry heave. It only makes my appetite problem worse. Since I'm already having a very hard time eating anything. Today I've only had one 80 calorie yogurt. Food disgusts me right now, and I'm not liking this feeling.
  6. buffalo flavored anything and strawberry frozen yogurt, lol
  7. I am not on pain meds like you, but when my doc told me I could go back on all my meds I had to make adjustments. Any that could, I cut in half with a pill cutter. I take fish oil and Cosamin DS for my knee arthritis. Cosamin capsules can be opened and mixed in cold food (not hot) such as yogurt or applesauce. However my fish oil was a gelcap. I did some research and found a liquid mint flavored fish oil. One tablespoon actually gives me more Omega 3s than the 2 gelcaps I had been taking. Also Cosamin now has power packs, a packet with powder to be mixed in a bottle of Water, similar to Crystal Light flavors. I get my Cosamin and water at the same time. As for your time release med, check with the prescribing doctor to see if you can cut it and if not if there is an alternative you can take in a liquid or pill that can be cut. And after fills for a day or two you should cut pills. I didn't after my first fill because I was in a hurry for work, and the pill got stuck. I had my first sliming experience on the parking lot next to my car. The pill dissolved enough to pass shortly so it wasn't too bad. You just need to talk to your doc to see what alternatives exist for you. I was fortunate and didn't have a lot of pain post op. Good luck on your journey.

    Banana pain

I had written before that I was experiencing severe stomach pains. That whole week I had started eating a low fat yogurt and 1/2 a banana for breakfast. A friend suggested that I stop eating the banana. MIRACLE! The pains stopped the next day. I had never had problems with bananas before, and don't know what caused the reaction this time, but my pain is gone. Has anybody else come across this situaltion with bananas or any other food?

    Kefir?

I use it, I like it. It is a thicker drinkable yogurt. I have only tried strawberry flavor from Trader Joes. I mix 1 cup, 1 frozen banana and some ice for a smoothy. It does usually clean my system out....if u get the hint.... Overall though I like it and it is higher in protein and I disliked the powders.
  10. I am not exactly sure what stage you're at. If you can fill out your profile, it would give us a better picture. During my full fluid phase I was easily able to consume 1/2 cup. So it all depends on what stage you're at and the kinda food you're consuming. 3 months post-Op and I can easily do 3/4 cup of meal. Half of it is usually yogurt and other half would be beans, lentils, veggies, some grains, fruits etc etc. So it all depends on the kinda food you're referring to and the stage you're at.
  11. At about 3 months mark, I think I am finally comfortable what works for me. Recommendation of my program is 3 meals and 3 snacks. I found that a bit too much, made it seem like I have to get up and eat every few hours. 4 meals in total work for me with 0.5 to 0.75 cup of milk in between meals, which works as fluid and protein intake for me! I have read various info on the meal size how many can't eat beyond 0.33 to 0.5 cup, not sure if that's only solid. But in my case I can easily do about 0.75 cup at every meal. Ofc half of that includes yogurt majority of the time. Since yogurt isn't solid, may be that's why in total I can manage 0.75 cup per meal. But I love including Skyr (Ice landic yogurt) with my meals, easily helps to achieve my protein goal without having to rely on any shakes or protein powders. So yeh 4 meals in total throughout the day with milk consumption in between. And with that, I am easily able to manage to get my 64oz of fluids in too! This will be my routine until I hit my goal. Hope it helps. Good luck finding your routine. P.S - I also get hungry in a few hours, and that's when I feel comfortable consuming my meal. I like that my hunger signal hasn't completely disappeared. I like feeding myself when I know that my body is asking for it.

    What to have at home?

I brought extra small bowls and plates and baby spoons and forks to eat with. That really helped with portion control. Loved using the tiny spoons when I was able to eat yogurt. They helped slow me down. A good scale came in handy when I was able to start purée and solids.
  13. I got filled on Friday and I've done 48 hours of liquids. It took me a long time to get my protein shake down this morning, but it was ok. Tried introducing some mushies today. Didn't go so well. I had five small bites of greek yogurt. All of the sudden, major slime, chest pain, then threw up the yogurt. Should I give it some time? Or get unfilled a little. Am definitely going to call the surgeon tomorrow, but thought I'd see if this is normal after a fill with good restriction.
  14. what size band do you have, and how many cc do you have in it? I think you need a slight unfill, I giving you advice and I need to listen to it myself. I had fill dec 13th and am sooooo tight from dec 13 to dec 29 I lost 15 pounds. where can I but greek yogurt and what's your favorite flavor? I see a lot of peopk talking about on here I just have never seen it in the store

If yogurt works for you, I recommend FAGE 0% and add your own fruit to it. It a really high protein boost. One cup has 23 grams of protein. then just focus on increasing your water. Those 2 small changes might help and adding your own fruit to the mix keeps the sugar amount low.
  16. @@Rev Del, I drink one protein shake per day (32 grams) and then use a combo of 1/4 cottage cheese (6.5 grabs), 1/4 cup Cream of Wheat (3 grams), 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt (6.5 grams), 1/4 cup milk (2 grams), and the occasional meal of two egg whites (7 grams). Not too exciting, but I can usually hit my current requirement of 60 grams per day. I was able to raise my protein amount a bit within my shake by using unflavored protein powder with milk and adding one packet of Diet Hot cocoa mix which has 2 grams of protein.
  17. I had the surgery for my lapband Sept 2011. I lost 20lbs pretty quick and then it came to a crawl. They kept adding more and more Fluid to my band. From the 1st day I was able to eat soft food the Diarrhea started. I could be half way through a container of yogurt and I had to run to the bathroom. I called the nurse and they said, cant be from the band, that doesn't happen to banded patients only gastric bypass patients. ok so I thought its just my stomach getting used to the band. Two months go past and I have the same issue with solid foods. Again I tell my doctor and she insisted it was NOT the band. So now its been 4 years of not going anywhere because what if i have to find a bathroom and dont make it. If i had somewhere to be I wouldn't eat before I left. If i went to lunch with a friend or family I made sure that if i had other things to do when I was out that I did them first because after I eat I have to get home quick! Imodium helped somewhat. I would take 2 tablets BEFORE I ate. When I say everything gives me Diarrhea I mean everything. Dairy, Sugars, Fresh fruits and vegetables. I love salad but couldn't eat it because it went thought me in a matter of minutes! Last week I went to have some fluid removed. The last fill had been a year ago and since that time EVERYTHING was getting stuck, even water! I saw one of the nurse practitioners this time. I told him all the problems I had. He walked me down stairs to imaging and asked them to do am upper GI test to make sure that everything was ok. HE said everything looked good but he did take out the last fill which was only 0.02cc's of Water. I told him about the chronic Diarrhea and he said that he didn't think the band was causing it but when you mess with the stomach anything can happen. he asked me about my symptoms and when it would happen and I told him. He said he felt that it was IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Suggested I see a gastroenterologist or discuss it with my family doctor. I opted for my family doctor, because trying to get an appointment with gastro was nearly impossible. He said he felt so bad for me that i wouldn't leave my house! Said he would help me get my life back! Since the fluid was removed I actually have been eating less! Im guessing food was sitting on top of the band and not going into my stomach which kept me from feeling full. My doctor called in a prescription for Dicyclomine. It has worked wonders! I feel like a completely different person! I have had dairy and had no problems. Today I had a salad from subway. Ate it on an empty stomach and I feel great! If you are having the same issue, talk to your doctor about trying something for IBS! My life was a nightmare for the last 4 years and today... Dicyclomine has given me my life back!!

    I need help friends

Hi everyone! Sorry about the late nite posts but I honestly can't get here until this time, but when am here I am truly reading and learning from all the great info. This site really helps me out more than anything else and for that I am soooo thankful! I just wanted to let everyone know how things went today. Here was my day : 11am: unsweetened all natural applesauce 3 tbsp 12pm: multivitamins and 1/2 cup of water 1pm: more water to finish the 20 oz. cup 3pm: 3 cheese cubes and 4 tbsp of tuna mixed with egg and slash of mayo 4pm: began another 20 oz of water 6pm: finished water 7pm: cup of chicken and stars soup 8pm: 1/2 of banana and 4 oz of whole milk 9pm: began 24 oz bottle of water and 2 quarter size pieces of deli meat Right now: finishing the rest of water So today I drank about 8 cups of water and was actually able to keep everything I ate down. Yay!!! I think the oatmeal early this morning really didn't count because the little I ate did come back up but I do think it was my fault in not making it thin enough. I tried a llittle skim milk but it too was not well tolerated but the whole milk went down with no problem. I think I will keep trying with the milk. I have also decided to plan my eating because that seems to be the only way I will do it. And after all that, I feel so much better. I agree with most that my doctor's advice on eating regular food is too much for my sleeve right now. So I will try to alternate with protein shots and softer foods as suggested. Although I still didn't quite make 800 cals, the water intake was a plus and I feel good. I even feel like I could eat now but am really too tired from this long day to eat another thing. My doctor also told me to take Prevacid so this is day 2 on that and maybe that helped a bit. I am just happy that I did not tear my sleeve from eating the way I was before. But question for anyone that could answer.... When is a good time to try to eat chicken or beef? I have not tried hamburger or steak at all and was just wondering since my post op diet is not a good one to follow obviously. Also, how much should I be eating at a time if it is soft foods? I feel full at 2-3 tbsp but know that will not help me reach calorie goals. I know eating more often will help so I hope adding the GNC/Walmart protein shots could be used to supplement a few cals and add protein. Thanks for all the great advice. I will try the cottage cheese in other things, greek yogurt, etc tomorrow and see how it goes.

    Just been sleeved

Hi Nicolab.. Welcome to VST! It all sounds normal to me! I'm a few days ahead of you. My surgery was on the 17th. I didn't move to the yogurt stage until Day 5. I use myfitnesspal.com to track my food. That gives me an idea about calories, carbs and Protein consumption. I moved to pureed foods on day 15. It felt great to get a little more protein in. As far feeling different, me neither! Some days I wonder if I really had the surgery. That said, it takes very little food now to make me feel satisfied. On pureed foods I'm getting in 2-3 oz of ground turkey or ground salmon with a little sour cream or Fluid to puree it. My plan is strict with three meals a day, 4-6 hours apart, no snacking. I've been getting in 64 oz of fluids a day in addition to my three meals. I can eat and drink easily. When I'm getting full when eating, I tend to get these dainty little hiccups. That tells me I'm done! Keep asking questions and please post often how you're doing!
  20. I do not think butter overreacted. To advise someone what you did is very very irresponsible! You guy's need to remember that post op,...you will be following very detailed eating plans. They are very specific!! So essentially, telling her to ignore your NUT now will do nothing for ANYONE at any point in this journey. Doctors and NUTS work together and decide the pre and post op eating plans taking many things in consideration. If you read threw each response, op gave more info, giving us a brief glimpse of her current issues. Most of us that have come here all have serious food issues. Most programs are structured to deal with the physical aspect of weight loss yes, but also deals with the intense head work of the psychological aspect of food. Advising someone to ignore their plan sends the signal to their brains that hiding food intake from their team is acceptable. Guess what? When she's 3 weeks post op and think she's healed, what will stop her from having a regular meal OFF the given plan??? Hopefully she would make the right choice but if she has hidden her consumption up to that point, why would the behavior change then?? WLS..it's not just about losing the weight...it also is just as much about the behavioral aspect and the psychological aspect. Many many things SHOULD be taken into consideration when you walk this road. Are you post op yet?? Has it been 6 weeks since you have chewed food? Do you know what it feels like to have a still numb sleeve from surgery and shockingly eaten half of a yogurts only to freak out because it's 5.3 oz and you're not supposed to eat more than 2 tablespoons? ?

    What do you eat?

I feel your pain, but I have hope for you. I lost steadily from 10 days prior, through 2 weeks post-op then I met the wall. I not only STOPPED losing weight, I regained 3-4 lbs that I had lost. I was so discouraged. I was thinking to myself oh my gosh, what if this doesn't work. Here everyone at home and work knows I went to surgical lengths to lose weight and what if I fail at THIS??? I was starting to get very upset and discouraged. Then, I got my first fill of 3ccs at 6 weeks (couldn't wait!) and went in 4 days later for another fill of 1 cc. That was the sweet spot. I could tell the huge difference - no more out of control appetite. Satisfied on small amounts. 10 days after my 2nd fill I went in and had a 7lb loss. I don't follow a very serious hard-core diet. I follow a reasonable diet. I've never been much of a breakfast eater, but I do love my coffee. I'm at least kick-starting my metabolism in the morning with my loaded coffee (coffeemate and Sweet N Low - about 70 calories.) I usually have a can of tuna packed in Water with a tbsp of mayo with olive oil and 1-2 tbsp of relish - about 200 calories. If I get hungry mid-day, I'll have a cup or two (slowly) of banana Creme Muscle Milk Light - about 100-200 calories. For dinner, I usually have whatever I normally would. Last night was a small portion of enchilada with pinto Beans and corn. Tonight is Thursday, our weekly boneless wing night (60 cent boneless Thursdays!) but now instead of eating 12 boneless Asian Zing wings, I'll have 3 or 4. I have a terrible habit of eating late - that's when I get the hungriest - between 7-10pm. I try to stick to a cup of Cereal and 1% milk (I can't handle skim yet). I try not to starve myself and not to deprive myself too much. I want this Lap-Band to work long-term, not just a sprint that I can't finish like my history of dieting. If I crave sweets, I'll have a sugar-free cinnamon disk, a handful of Fruit Loops or a 100-calorie pack of yogurt-covered pretzels. So far, I've managed to lose almost 30lbs in just over 2 months. I have only had a small bit of soft-serve ice cream and zero soda. I abhor drinking water, so I keep a stainless water bottle filled with Crystal Light or Diet Snapple with me as often as possible. I have had fast food - just this weekend I had Wendy's, but I got a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and stole only 3 fries and was completely full. That netted me about 400 calories, which if I keep my normal schedule will still put me in under 1000 calories for the day. Good luck and have faith. The weight will come off when it's ready. If you eat too few calories, your body goes into "starvation" or "survival" mode and retains as much weight as it can. Just eat progressively fewer calories and don't try to do it all at once or starve yourself. The more realistic you make it, the more you will stick with it. Have a little something for breakfast - be it a Protein shake or what have you (I've sometimes flavored my coffee with a vanilla protein shake!) to get your body started off ready to use up the calories you're providing. Know you're not in this alone and you'll get there - just be patient!
  22. I don't know that this will be a popular reply to this question, but here's the truth anyway. I am 1 week post op. The Dr told me clear liquids for 2 weeks, puree for 2 more weeks, and then to soft foods. I don't like clear liquids. They suck. I started eating some yogurt on about day 4. No problems. Yesterday I ate some cream of wheat and felt much better. Today my entire family went to a restaurant. I went to the buffet and put some mashed potatoes, green beans, baked chicken, and macaroni on my plate. I took tiny little bites and chewed everything to death. I probably ate about an ounce and a half of food. I feel much better having had something and I do not feel sick or too full. Tomorrow I plan on taking two or three bites of soft scrambled eggs. No it's not on the plan. I tend to think that everyone tolerates things on an individual level. A little common sense and listening to the signs your body gives you will go a long way in determining what you can eat and when. Just saying.
  23. Dave, you can't compare food portions post-banding with food portions pre-banding. That's because it's completely different. Once you're healed up and start getting fills, (usually starting about six weeks after surgery), you won't be able to eat like you once did, and you won't want to. The placement of the band at the top of the stomach puts pressure on the Vagus nerve, which controls hunger and production of ghrelin, the chemical that causes hunger pangs. So you'll eat a smaller meal, but the miraculous part is that you'll feel full after a small amount of food. And if you're feeling full, and are not hungry, you can safely stop eating without any problems. It doesn't matter that you only ate a fraction of what you used to, your stomach THINKS it's full. And that is the magic of the band. If you use it right, you can eat less and not feel like you are not eating a typical full meal. Once you get out of the habit of eating "big," you'll be able to focus on eating healthy, and eating smart. And the natural side effect of eating smart is weight loss. Easy, simple, and remarkable weight loss. You made a comment in your reply to my last post that it's our culture, and that everything is about food. I used to think that, too. Then I learned that holidays are about family. Food is just something we do to have a reason to get together. My family still knows and loves me as much as before. And we still get together. They eat "big," and I eat what I want, until I'm done. I still socialize and enjoy the time together, but the one difference is I eat less than I used to. Oh yeah, and I take up a lot less room at the table. Okay, you asked about my recovery. I'll try to be brief. Ask me if you want to know more about anything: I had surgery Monday, December 6, 2010. My doctor did not require a pre-op liquid diet. They put me on high Protein, low carb instead, to try and shrink my liver. I only had to do one day of clear liquids, on the day before surgery. During the surgery itself I had a hiatal hernia and a ventral hernia repaired, so where most band patients end up with five or six incision sites, I ended up with thirteen. I spent two nights in the hospital because they wanted to monitor my recovery, since mine was so involved. I was discharged on Wednesday, Dec. 8th. I had several weeks of sick time available to me from work, so I opted to take three weeks off work for recovery. My surgeon required three weeks of liquid diet after surgery. Nothing pureed or creamy. Only Protein shakes, and liquids you can see through. I had no appetite for quite awhile, and managed to get along drinking two ounces of Protein shake every hour from waking up till going to sleep - about 16 hours a day. In between the protein shakes I was drinking 64 ounces of Water daily, roughly four ounces per hour for those same 16 hours. Things went along normally for the first week, until I hit the only speed bump I've had. I discovered I was lactose intolerant, something I never knew. On the Monday one week after surgery I started having "dry heaves," but I wasn't throwing anything up. My body just had the wracking spasms that go with that. After consulting my surgeon (who was about two hours away), I made a trip to the Emergency Room. They gave me a single pill, and the urge to throw up instantly stopped. They found I was dehydrated, and gave me two bags of fluids via IV. After that I was fine. My Nutritionist and I went through trying a number of alternate liquids for protein shakes, different kinds of milk, soy, whatever, but nothing helped. I finally started drinking ready-to-drink shakes (Muscle Milk Light and/or Premier Protein Shakes, both of which were great, taste good, and filled me up perfectly with no side effects.) They worked great, and from there on out I was fine. At the three-week mark I went on soft foods for a week, (slider foods, thicker Soups, creamy stuf, and pureed foods.) It was like heaven. Then I did a week working my way back onto solid foods. The first thing I had was Wendy's Chili. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. It was amazing, and remains my "go to" food when I need a high protein meal that's easy to get, tastes great, and is perfectly band-safe. By the time I was back on solid foods, I felt absolutely normal. I can't feel the band at all, and I was ready for facing life as a bandster. At six weeks after surgery my hernia repair doctor (who had done his part during the band surgery) cleared me from all restrictions. I'd been on a "light duty" thing, not allowed to lift more than 15 pounds prior to that. On the same day, if I recall things correctly, my surgeon gave me my first fill. It was 3cc's, to go with the 3cc's he put in during the band placement surgery. So I was suddenly at 6cc's in a 14cc band. A month later I got another 2cc fill, which put me at 8cc's. A month after that I got a .5cc fill, putting me at 8.5cc's. And just today I got another .5cc, so I'm now at 9cc's. My surgeon's team and I agree I'm right at my sweet spot now, and I probably won't need any more major fills - just small .1cc or .2cc fills from here on out. My hunger is well under control, and I can go four hours or more without feeling hungry. You asked about my daily routine. For the last few months it's been pretty consistent: I've chosen to follow a modified South Beach kind of eating plan, with higher protein, lower glycemic carbs. I avoid (note I didn't say "never eat") fried foods, heavy sauces, and Desserts. So when I'm looking for a meal, I will gravitate toward a higher protein option. I eat "real world" food, not "diet food" because I know I have to function in my own life. I eat out in restaurants regularly. I don't drink alcohol, or anything with carbonation. I know some bandsters do, but I choose not to. I don't miss it. I do use artificial sweetener (Splenda, or one of its derivatives) when I want to sweeten something. I do drink coffee, tea, and unflavored iced tea often. When I wake up, I have a cup of coffee while getting ready for work. In the car while driving to work I have a ready-to-drink Premier Protein shake. (160 calories, 5grams of carbs, 3g sugar, and 30g of protein.) It kick starts my metabolism, and balances my blood sugar. About an hour after getting to work I have what I call a "naked sandwich." It's a Breakfast sandwich without any bread: A fried egg, a sausage patty, and slice of cheese. About 300 calories, and about 20g of protein. I'm good to go till lunch at that point. For lunch I usually have some solid protein, like a grilled chicken breast, roast beef, steak, pork loin, or similar. I may mix it in a salad, usually with a touch of a vinaigrette dressing. Sometimes I'll get a grilled turkey BLT sandwich, and set the bread aside. I'm fortunate to work at a hospital, and the cafeteria offers a pretty good selection of choices. If the volume of food is fairly large, like a full-sized sandwich, I usually only eat half of it during my lunch break. I take the rest back to my desk as leftovers, and I may or may not eat it as a mid-afternoon snack, if I need it. When I leave work I go directly to the gym, where I work out for about an hour or so. I usually ride a recumbent bike in the "fat burn" mode, but lately have been gradually adding some weight training. On my way home I may grab some dinner (like Wendy's Chili or their half-sized Apple Pecan Chicken salad. Maybe a Sourdough Chicken Club sandwich from Jack in the Box. Good stuff!) I don't get the "meal deal" at fast food places - so I'm not tempted by French fries or soft drinks, and I usually peel off the bun or bread and set it aside. Later in the evening, if I feel the urge to have a snack, I'll eat a cheese stick or two, or a cup of lowfat yogurt. I don't keep "trigger" foods in my house. No junk food, desserts, chips, or empty calories. And I drink water all day long. I keep a bottle of it with me at work, in the car, and at the gym, a tall glass with ice water at home, and anytime I'm awake. It really helps. If I go out to a restaurant for dinner, I try to select something higher in protein, and substitute steamed vegetables for any sort of potatoes. One favorite is at Olive Garden. They have a Steak Toscano. 12 ounces of grilled to order steak. I eat about a third at the restaurant, then take the rest home, where it makes two more meals. It's very filling, and the whole thing is only 400 calories and has 20g of protein. That's about all there is to it. As you can see, I'm following what works for me. I am NEVER hungry, I get in at least 100g of protein every day. I take my Vitamins and supplements daily, I drink lots of water, and I work out regularly. I was banded five months ago this past Monday, and as of today I've lost 83 pounds, with more to follow. My surgeon says I'm doing exactly what they expect, in terms of weight loss, and they are very encouraged that things are going so well for me. I hope this gives you some real world tips you can use. I learned what works for me, and I do my own thing in terms of how I eat, and what it means for me to be banded. I don't measure anything, and as I said, I drink with meals. But I eat slowly, I chew thoroughly, and I take small bites. All that is in deference to how the band works. I manage it, but I don't let it manage me. The rest is in the details, sorting out how to make the most of it. Hope this helps. Dave
  24. Today was my forst day as well. I had Greek yogurt for breakfast, no sugar added applesauce for mid morning snack, cheese and thin lunch meat for lunch and beans with cheese with a small amount of avocado for dinner. All measured of course to not go over my surgeon's limit for oz. I had to supplement with a 30g protein shake to hit my protein. Tomorrow I will try a scrambled egg just go with things you like. I spent an hour in the grocery store deciding what to get based on how soft, protein and other nutrition content. I got enough for three weeks I think lol

I eat the Yoplait 100 cal Greek yogurt, protein bars & nuts. For the nuts, I may do a trail mix, or sometimes I mix the nuts with some sugars free yogurt covered raisins.
