Melissa Exactly. Before I would have eaten the whole "whatever", whereas now I'm satisfied with just a few of something. Oh, and I love that saying, it is perfect. Oh, NSV, I went out and bought a pair of size 16 jeans, (I was a very tight 20 before, I probably should have been a 22 but I refused to buy them). The Size 16 jeans fit great, and I also bought a pair of Size 14 to look forward to. I just hate to spend a lot of money, knowing that soon (hopefully), I'll be moving into yet another smaller size. It was at the point though that I had to, I looked like a clown! I'm not complaining at all, mind you! I love it, keep it coming. The band is my new best friend! Cindy

Hey Everyone...Great NSV's! I hired a personal trainer and started with her on Saturday. I made it 40 minutes through the workout, then all of a sudden blacked out! I have no idea what happened. The trainer asked how many calories I'm consuming, so I told her about 1400-1600 per day, and she thinks that is not enough. She wanted me up to 1800 per day, which I think is a little high. I think I was slightly dehydrated from being filled so tightly that I couldn't keep anything down for a couple days, until I got an unfill on thursday afternoon. Maybe I just didn't have enough liquids in my body. Anyways, I was so sore on Sunday that I couldn't even get out of bed. BF had to rub ben gay all over my legs. It was so bad. Must have done some sort of good though, considering I was so sore! Even my arms were sore and I didn't even work my arms!

Goodmorning everyone! Suzzzie today is a new day, start fresh. Great NSV with the scrubs! lo2 I also heard to mix salads with the meat, this will help it go down, the same with pasta and rice. if you mix a little in with vegies and some type of sauce you will be able to eat it. And of course small bites! cj your weight loss is GREAT, 20 lbs a month most likely will not happen. The band is slower than GB. I go for my 2nd fill today. I know I currently have some restriction in the sense of when I am full and to stop eating. But, I also know that I currently still eat larger bites and eat to fast. I think later today this fill will change all this! I will keep you all posted.

My NSV today my 6 year old was able to wrap her arms completely around my waist and lock her hands together. That's never happened! I got my first full embrace from my little girl! Mind you the little terror will lay on top of me and cuddle a million different ways, but I've been so looking forward to this one and it finally happened. Denise, girl you kill me. But yeah baby, you're just a bitch, not a fat one. Woo Hoo.

Hey Everyone! Had a NSV moment today----well sort of. The DH and I went to the Home Depot to get some last minute odds and ends (we are remodeling our master bathroom) Anywho, there are checkouts lines at the Depot that are self-checkout and we were waiting in line for the next available. When it was our turn--a guy at the end of the line jumps ahead of me and the DH and proceeds to checkout-----well I was pissed! I announced quite loudly in from my inner monologue " Some people are so rude"! He didn't say a thing and left.....but then he came back in to the store as I was checking out and told me that if I had something to say to him that I should say it to his face---so being me--and fearless (no matter that he was bigger than me--a probably a former skin head) --I told him he was rude to his face! And he left in a huff cussing. Well, the DH and I left the depot and there was the smug bald-headed goatee wearing chode in his big POS Blazer screaming at me...and this is what he said "Hey you B_ _ ch! If this was 10 years ago I would kick your A$$ and your husbands. Now the point of the story is that it wasn't "Hey you Fat B_ _ch!" So I feel that this is a NSV :heh: Of course at this point I ignored him--and my husband told him to go on about his way and calm down. Of course my inner monologue was trying to come out and say "So, 10 years ago you would beat up a women? Good so you are not a blankey blank blank ---but now you just threaten because you are a p_ssy! ( I am a cusser, so I will not expose you guys to that) Anywho, I drive an orange vibe ( not many on the road) so my husband says that we won't be able to drive the car to the Home Depot for awhile. I was like----"HELL YES I WILL!" BRING IT ON SUCKER"!!! I AM FEARLESS! It is like the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" the parking lot scene. If you let people be rude and run all over you and you not call them on it---well they will continue it and believe that they are entitled!!! WE MUST UNITE AGAINST RUDENESS!!!! The end...... Denise

  8. Thanks everyone, Cheri NSV is a short for Non-Scale Victory. Andigump, everyone is welcome here, once you get a fill that hunger will go away.
  9. Ok you guys, I just can't stand not knowing any longer, what the h.....is NSV??? I'm feeling very stupid and out of touch! Dez, that is really great, both the years and the size! I remember I was a 16 for about a week when I was about 17, I had just lost a bunch of wt. and was so happy! Naturally, it was short lived. But we'll all be there again. you two sound so cute together, I got 14 years, and they get better every year. Have fun!

Hello Junies, I have been on vacation, and no internet access, well if I went to the library. But we were at Myrtle Beach, SC, and it was family time. SCALE shows a gain of 3lbs, but that is not a surprise, :cry ! I ate small meals, but ate junk food in between along with frozen drinks on the beach. That did it for me, but I did have fun and enjoyed the beach and the being with the kids and my grandaugher, her first time at the beach! JoJo Welcome to the site. and what a great weight loss!! Rhonda I did not know there was a 10cc thread. I will need to check it out. I have a 10cc and have 5cc. I am going for a fill on Tuesday. I do feel that full feeling, and have some issues with food, but I do think I need a tweeking of a fill! But I don't want to be pbing all the time either. suzzzie You try a lot of different foods, sounds good too. From others some things that don't work now may work later? You are having great success!! I understand the food waisting too. I told my dh that we need to bring a cooler with us when we go out if we plan to eat and do other things, or my left overs will be thrown out like we have been doing! I went to the doc the day before my vacation, and they immediatly said no fill until I get back. It is for safety in case you have a problem. stef How is your Hubby? You were so excited. I hope you are having a great weekend. I have not been measuring my body, however I have had a NSV, clothes I could not wear before fit great and some are to big. that is a great feeling. Dawn how exciting regarding your wedding band. Just before my surgery, I took the dreaded step to have my wedding band and other ring on my right hand cut off. My engagement ring fit still. My goal is to get new bands for my dh and I when I reach goal, and to NEVER be in that embarrassing moment agian. Holli What a great LOSS:clap2: the second fill must have kicked it in for you! I hope that works for me on Tuesday! Laura At the support group meeting the leader said not eat bread, rice and pasta. Mainly to prepare yourself for when you cant and to reduce the calories. I can't eat bread, but can eat a little bit of pasta and rice. I just don't select it often. I also can eat crisp pizza crust and torilla's. she still feels we should not try it, but I feel in moderation until my band says No. insub Great about the gym, you will love it and no one looks which we all think people do. :bounce: GREAT to hear from you Toni and others. I am back on line and program! Sorry for the long post but I wanted to catch up!
  11. dez Fantastic NSV! Wow that means no more plus size shops for you! What a great feeling that must be!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations.
  12. Have to share with you all a NSV, I went and tried new clothes today, get this a SIZE 14, I have not been a 14 ever, at least I don't remember ever being a 14, I think I skipped right over it. OK and when it comes to partners ladies I am sorry to tell you that I have the Diamond, we will be celebrating 15 years, going to spend the day at Catalina Island. We both have never been there so we thought we would go and check it out. Hope every one is having a great weekend.

Barbara12 - So good to hear from you. Lunch sounds good, but NO MEXICAN for me! I too lost while in Michigan and quickly put it back on after a day or two of treats. We have to put more muscle behind the band. Enemy #1 and #2 - empty calories and recreational eating. Where were we a year ago? I was EXCITED and closing in on onederland. Shopping in the "regular" sizes was definitely amazing. Socalgal - thanks for reminding me about the ticker. Somehow that gives me something to work towards. At one time, I had lost 60 pounds. I did a little ab work yesterday and my band seemed to be tighter, but not uncomfortable. NSV - I had my old standby as an evening treat last night. Bottled water and my vitamin carmel. It was pretty good.

Kaelin I love your NSV! I too have the joy of not rubbing against the steering wheel!! I am only 5'0" so I have to really sit close to reach the pedals. In my jeep I had to drive with my tiptoes cause I couldn't sit any closer - now I can scoot up and reach the pedals!!! woohoo for us!

    Jump on the Goal Train

:director:Ok Crazy Ates. Our surgery is done and we are recovering nicely. Sure we're still a little tired and on this weird post-op pre-fill diet. But it is time to get this wagon train a-rollin': let's set some GOALS! Not some little goals but some real down and dirty, kick butt, they-never-thought-they-would-see-the-day-I-did-it GOOOOOOOOOOOOOALS. scale or NSV doesn't matter. It just has to be meaningful and motivating for you. Toot, toot! All Aboard!

Lady HR, that's an awesome NSV. I had to ask for a seat belt extender when I flew to Paris earlier this year. I wanted it to fit so much but it just wouldn't. It was embarrassing, there's not much privacy on a plane. JoJo, we're so glad you came out of lurkdom. Start posting! BeckieT - Great to hear from you again but my condolences. What a shock! I had an NSV today, I joined a gym! Just a couple of months ago I used to grin at all of you who went to a gym thinking, "that will never be me, I would never dare walk in". Then, over the past month or so, I started walking. I found that I committed to that (at least four days a week) but when it rained, my enthusiasm dropped off and I skipped a week. The local women's gym opening and closing hours didn't suit me so I when I got home from work today (7pm), I found myself calling, then joining a standard gym near my house. I just got back. I'm did 20 mins on the treadmill and 20mins on the stationary bike. I also walked for 30 mins at lunchtime, not knowing I'd join the gym this evening. That's all I can deal with for now but it's pretty darn impressive for me. It wasn't intimidating or anything like I'd imagined at all. I just went in there, asked them how to use the equipment, watched video clips and did my thing. The guy was very helpful and will start me on other stuff when I'm ready. Me, in a gym! who'd have thunk it? I weigh 300 pounds! I just figure that I can keep clinging to the overeating, chocolate-munching, chew and spit, anxiety-ridden, anti-social, non-exercising, depressed, negative fat me or I can start to claim the life I want to have. Let's just hope I stick with it. I paid for three months, so I'll see how I go. BTW, do any of you use a rowing machine? How does it affect your band? Our 3 month bandiversaries are coming up (or just passed for Toni). It has gone rather quickly, hasn't it? I'm so glad I'm here and not back at 3 months ago. Maybe we should all post photos at our 6 month (or before, if you're game). Paging HollieW, Captain D, BigSexy and all the others MIA (and I could recall all your names if I have to).

NOW THAT IS A NSV!!!! YAY for you!!!!!! I actually bought a dress last weekend that was XL but it was a little to tight around by belly - just not very sexy looking. LOL I decided to keep it anyway since I love it so much!!! BTW that's my new thing, I will not buy or "settle" for anything just because I can get into it. It has to make me look damn good!!!!

Cindyluhu- It could just be a difference in the scale. Start fresh in the morning! Raysbabe- You look AWESOME! Totally different person. All- I got my 3rd fill today (2.1 in a 4cc band). She told me to stay away from liquid protein except for the first 24 hrs. after fills. I thought I was doing bad because the scale hasn't moved in two weeks, but I had lost 7 lbs. since three weeks ago. NSV- I went shopping with thin Hubby yesterday.........he had a smile on his face the whole time. He just kept telling me how pretty I was and how proud he was of me. It was so sweet! That was honestly the firsttime I have felt pretty in a long time. I used to get depressed shopping. This time it was fun!

My NSV is that on a recent flight I didn't need a seat belt extender! I bought my own a few years ago so I wouldn't be embarassed to ask for one. I have decided that when I reach goal, I'm going to frame it in a shadow box with some inspirational message as a reminder of where I never want to go again! Steph, hope your DH got home safely. I live in the area and had to drive in that awful mess today! My standard breakfast is now 4 oz. of Activia yogurt. It is only 110 calories, helps with digestion, and is just the right amount to fill me up. I can usually go to lunch without getting hungry. And - it tastes yummy!

Hey Junies.... I've been here EVERYDAY!!!!---just reading...got alot going on!!!! Congrats to all who have had NSV!!!! Steph--when I read your inspirational message--I could hear the voice of Joel Osteen reading it---have you heard of him? He preaches a message of good attitude and positive thinking. Where is Toni? Suzzie--I purchased the ingredients for the Mozarella Stuffed Turkey meatballs. Instead of mozarella, I have chipolte cheddar cheese. I'll let you know how they turn out. Do you know the nutritional value of the meatballs--serving, calories, protein, etc.? All--please keep me and my family in your prayers. My mother's only sister is on a ventilator (she's 65). We have decided to remove her from the ventilator this Monday. She has two adult sons. Pray for our strength during this time.

Welcome, jojo7. Way to go! 50.5 is wonderful!!! I have the same motivation...my 3 1/2 year old and my 23 month old. All: Sorry I've been quiet lately. Some more than normal stress in my life this past week...but the NSV for me is that I didn't turn to food. I made it past it (my cousin's wife was killed in a tragic accident at their home). I normally would have turned to my good friends, Chocolate and Chips & Dip. I think part of it is this 2nd fill really seems to be helping, givine me the restriction I need.

Mer... I didn't think you could stay away from the sewing, I know you love it too much! What's the interview? Dawn... Congrats on the NSV. I did have my ring sized a while back, and the other day at work i knocked my hand on the desk and it fell off...guess I'll have to size it down soon I'm not stretch my shirts anymore either!!!

Too funny Steph! Especially the KY one! ROFL! I thought I'd try the breakfast test. I had about 3/4 cup of cornflakes with milk and 1/2 a peach with no problem. The peach went down tight and I followed it with coffee and it gugled and went down, so I'm going to call about getting another fill. The posting about NSV got me to thinking. Not clothes-related, but I have had so much more energy. I've been doing a lot of back to school shopping with my daughter, and normally my feet would give out on me, and I'd be popping motrin and wearing my orthotics and socks. I've been in my Sketcher mary janes, with no problems. As my mom would have said, make it a great day!

Hello everyone, bcrazy7- I had that happen this morning as well. That's one of my NSV's - I took a T-shirt right out of the dryer and didn't have to stretch it all out to make it fit right. YIPPEE!! 2nd NSV - I am finally able to wear my wedding ring again. I had refused to have it sized up so haven't been able to wear it for a couple of years. I can't quite get the engagement ring on yet (well I can but it's tight) but I'm very excited about my band. I've just been wearing another band for the last couple of years. Now I feel "official" again. that probably sounds silly but I'm very excited about the whole thing. Hope everyone is doing well. Dawn

Good morning everyone, Well I have a couple of NSV I'd like to share. 1st - A couple of weeks ago I was finally able to wear my wedding ring again!!!! I refused to have it sized up so I hadn't been able to wear it for a couple of years. I was just wearing different rings. 2nd - being able to put on T-shirts right out of the dryer and not having to stretch them to make them loose. YEAH!!!! Hope everyone's doing well. Riahg - hang in there. I know it seems like forever but you're more than halfway there. You wont always have to do all this documenting. I think you're doing fantastic. Dawn
