Hey there- No worries, i haven't been on and really looked through everything in a while- just quick posts and that's it. Hang in there- it's all worth it. Im doing really well. I have lost 40 pounds since surgery on 10/14 and 60 since May. I have had 4 fills- CRAZY!!!!!!! I have an 11 cc band and now have 6 cc's in it (last fill was last wednesday). I think I have hit the right spot, at least I hope so. I just added some new pics. today (in my pre and post album). I have really been fighting head hunger and the desire to stress eat this last week more than usual. It's been difficult, but im getting by. keep in touch- I promise to do so!!!!!- Leslie

Hey, just wondering how you handled being 19 and having this done...I am 19 as well and I am getting banded on the 9th....people are using my age against me stating I am too young to have this sort of thing done...

I spent some time last night trying on old clothes to see what fits and what's still a way off. My current size 22 stretchy jeans (which I could barely get into 3 months ago) are starting to get too big, my non stretchies fit, and I can get into a lot of my 20s, though they're too tight to wear. Another 10 lbs, and I should be able to wear them comfortably. =)

Hello from Boston. Thanks for everyone's caring and prayers. Everyone I know is safe. My son, limo driver, couldn't bring his customer to a Boston hotel but got him safely to some one's house. Very scary. My friend is a 911 operator at Boston police head quarters and he is safe and working hard. I live about 10 miles from where every thing happened but I was out all day away from the city. We give every country money and help them and then they do this to us during the W...

Today is day 10 of liquid diet! I MADE IT! Surgery tomorrow morning!

Starting pre-op liquid diet tomorrow! Nervous and excited. Bring it on. The other end of this 10 days is my surgery!

Sleeve, my last class is Jan 24th. I had my liver scan last Monday.

next Thursday is my Psych eval. So far I have only lost 6 lbs. At the last class they were says kaiser is cracking down on people that are losing the 10% and people might not be able to see the surgeon.

Hello to all! My name is Curtis and i'm a 28 yr old black male from Florida. I recently had the Gastric sleeve done on 12/14/10 and my pre op weight was 624lbs. Before my actual date of surgery i managed to get down to 581. My post op weight loss as of 1/12/10 is 69lbs! I am here to meet people who are sharing the same experience and to encourage those who are exploring this procedure.

Katie ~ "Food Funeral" OMGoodness, I need to find my black "funeral" pants and plan a ceremony as well! LOL! I start my 10 day pre-op "clean out" this coming Saturday and before I know it, Feb 1st will be here ... My first appointment is Jan 10, 2011. Right now my decision is whether to go lapband or sleeve. I'm about 95% towards sleeve. But excited to being doing something positive and proactive in my life.

Got the word ... my surgery date will be January 10, 2011

That will make my total time from first orientation to surgery 8 months.

Thanks Luna ...don't worry about the scale IT WILL eventually come off ...I was literally at 10 for so long then BAM another 10 came off in like a week and a half...Hey we are meeting in Rancho Cucamonga Saturday at 10 am if your available it would be great to meet you ...we can all LITERALLY share a breakfast HILARIOUS!!!! lol!

Just wanted to say you are going great! I joined the board about the time you were having surgery and read your posts often. I am finally getting my surgery date (probably Nov 10) and am trying to gear up for this life style change! My starting weight is about where you were on your surgery date so have followed your progress. You are doing great!! Hope we can stay in touch, I could sure use some advice from someone who has been there!! Take care and keep up the good work!!!
