I "was" working out alot, like 5 times per week. This last month i've not done so well! But i'm moivated to get pumpin again! At least another 30lbs! I've missed two fill appt. And don't have another until jan 26th.... So i've set a goal to lose at least another 10-15 by then! Hopefully! Lol!

Just got my band Nov. 10

I have been so busy with Real Estate I have not been able to chat much in the chat room. I am down 99lbs. I have about 10-15lbs to go. Had to get 1cc removed right before Christmas because I was stuck.

I started a new workout routine that is kicking my butt!

We went to Hawaii for our Christmas and had a ball.

I am sorry you hate VA. I did not care of it much when I lived there either.

Have you found a good doctor there?

You look super. I get my band 2-9-10 and I cant wait!!! I hope I have the super results you have had!! Awesome!!

How is your protein intake and your fluids. Those were both key in my recovery. You should be getting 60-80 grams of protein a day and 64 oz of fluids. I had to force myself and sometimes still do. Also, I walk and walk and walk. I walked every day, outside, and still am. I'd say after about 10 days I was better, blueswise. Now I'm almost normal 16 days out. I forget, when was your surgery? How long ago? Not too long, if I recall. I layed around alot and watched dvds. Let me know how you are and I'll pray some more. Can't hurt. Take care. Hugs to you...

How's it going since the banding? I had my 1st fill last Tuesday.I have no restriction at all. I don't get another fill until 02/11/10. I guess I will have to go back on the pre op diet until then. I hope your not freezing! My mother lives in Fl. and she is for sure!!

I'm having my band placed on 01-15-2010! I'm so excited. i may hve a small hiatal hernia and if it needs repairing it could in crease by risk of band slippage. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm doing pretty good still... I think I lost about 10 lbs in December. Stick to it and you will get there!

Glad to hear you are doing well! I am doing way better than expected on this 10 day liquid diet. (but I figured I'd be passed out by noon on the first day of starvation LOL! so anything is better than that right?!) I can only have 2 shakes a day, broth, sugar free drinks, a fudgesicle and a yogurt, and coffee with splenda. Thats it. Uuuugh...maybe I'll be able to drop a few pounds before surgery...get a jump on the process. How much have you lost on the preop? I could NOT imagine doing this through the holidays....wow! I think I gained 10 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Years! But this was actually the first Christmas that I ate and was not on a strick diet....i felt like a prisoner and the last meal, so i ATE! haha! That is wonderful that they are gonna fix your hernia while they are in there...I would hate to know going into one surgery that you were gonna have to have another one. Thats wonderful.

Going a little better these days. My back isn't quite as bad as it was. I am really trying to adjust to having the band... over-ate a little tonight... so I was miserable for about 2 hours. lol I am really fighting to eat S L O W. I've always been some sort of speed eater, lol. It's definitely a challenge. However, I've lost a total of 10 lbs since leaving the hospital... but 23 lbs since October. Can't wait to see myself 6 months out! I'm excited! =)

So I hear ins. starts day 1.. How will I know if Lapband is covered? I thought that if you mention that to your ins. they can deny you on pre-exsisting condition of being Obese... I just want to do the right thing and not screw up. You said you have 90/10 coverage through aetna is that the best?

Thats good to hear. Well I have surgery dec 21 at 10 and it would be great to be able to keep up with your progress and you with mine if thats ok just looking to talk to someone through this life changing process. let me know how to use this forum im new and actually have no idea on how to chat back and forth

ok so my surgery is Dec 10 and i am nervous as heck. Please I need some words of encouragement

so far i have lost about 13 lbs post op so not too bad i guess but like i said i really havent been eating/drining much. Just cant seem to get it all down. I returned to work last night and let me tell you those 10 hrs were a little tough my belly was a bit sore from all that sitting i did. I tried walking around but it just wasnt enough.I'm glad that you are uping your excersise bad thing about excersising is that it makes you hungry make sure that you are getting in sufficient cals to ensure that you dont paltreau.

I was banded two years ago, when I was banded, I weighed in at 255 pounds. Now I am 186 pounds and still losing. I am completely satisfied with my band and wouldn't trade it for nothing. I hope that you find success with your band.

As of 2/27/10, I am 168lbs.

I keeping up with exersizing since 1/08/10 I have been loosing and gaining the same 2 lbs. so since surg on 12/09/09 I have lost 18-20 lbs. I get a fill in a few days , so i hope that works on getting some of these lbs down.

OMG thats awesome! i looove your pic! you can TOTALLY see the weight loss!! Doesnt it feel great?! I'm at 35 lbs as well...just came back from my 2nd fill. My doc is very careful with these fills, but I did tell her I have NO restriction and I think I now have 4 cc's in. I know that the last 15 lbs I lost I did all on my own...and that actually feel kinda great!!! I was excited though to go back today to get another one. Now I dont go back till March 2nd !! I love hearing how all the clothes are just falling off of you!! Isnt it great??!!! I need to do some closet cleaning as well!! well, I am sooo happy to hear that things are going great! Lets keep each other focused!! My next goal is to hit 10 more lbs in the next 6 weeks (well really 15 and that will bring me to a total of 50 but I dont wanna get toooo excited!!! haha.have a great week! No I have not. I went to the seminar on Jan 13th and I have my first appt. on Feb. 10th. Good news is...my insurance covers barietric surgery. I'm eager to move on and get all the pre procedure testing done.

Well its been awhile since I talked to you, lol. My surgery date got postponed cuz i was sick...lol it was 10/27.....i will know exactly how much i have lost to date on wed the 20th....the last time i weight was before xmas on the 16th and i was at 20 lbs gone....so its averagely coming off, lol....but i think inches are coming off quicker : ) No complaints here! U look fabulous! I have been upping the protein and exercise this new year too, so keep up that conviction!!!

Like most insurance company requirements here, I needed to be a 'failure' at the 6 month diet (the three seminars I went to all said to lose 5-10 lbs. (but don't gain). I lost about 10 pounds during the 6 mo. diet and was approved within 48 hours. I lost another 9 pounds on my own (I didn't have a pre-op diet) in the 3 weeks between approval and my banding. hi MY NAME IS PICKSAP I TOO WAS BANDED THIS MONTH NOW 19 . SO HOW R U DOING. IT IS VERY TRYING BUT WHEN U SEE PEOPLE LIKE TMG33 U GET SO MOTIVATED. I AM GOING TO DO IT .WE ALL GON DO IT.

I was bnanded on Oct 27. I have lost 10 lb the 1st week. The following weeks I have gained 8 lb back. I don't feel any restriction and hungry all the time. My 1st fill is on Jan 4th. I am very frustrated and especially when most of the posts indicate that there is 10-30 lb weight lost in the 1st 4-6 weeks.

Heidi...sorry for the delayed response....thanks for the compliment. Best thing I have ever done for myslef. I feel wonderful. Just turned 54 a few days ago and feel as if I could run circles around any 19 yr old!

Wow you got surgery 10 days after me and you already feel no restriction? I know 10 days ago I was still having trouble getting most foods down. Now though I am definitely getting hungry and am able to squeeze in too much.

I will definitely keep you posted and let you know how the first fill thing goes!
