Nimblebean....great NSV!! You must have been dancing in the dressing room! Oh, I had such a moment! Only friends who are going through this understand these small, but important, victories! Thanks Metal! Great calendar too. Today is the first day of the challenge and I still cannot get my ticker to work. I have done everything that the instructions say to do. Oh well I will keep trying! Are you having trouble when you are on the Ticker Factory site, or when you try to drop the Exercise Ticker into your signature?

We had a garage sale the first weekend in Feb. We made $800!!! And now, you can actually put 2 cars in my garage (did you know that is what they are used for???). Have fun! Pizza and salsa update: I am in the lead, but still don't know if I won. I've sampled the others, but did not over do it. As far as the pizza...the kids are eating now, and I had the cheese and pepperoni from one small slice. Tasted gross after my 0 sugar lunch of chix. beans and cheese (yes 0 sugar, 20 carbs...great for lunch!) I'd say that is a NSV! Also, I didn't mention that it is DONUT day here at work. These people are evil, but I passed them up too! woohoo

Hi all!~~ A late-eve check-in... was up before 6a & out the door by 7! Spent all day @ a soccer fest in the 100 heat... ack! Drank a case of water & refused to use the port-a-potties so kept driving down the road to the McD's... too funny! Crashed for 2 hrs when we got home, am now cooking a nice dinner -- my in-laws are here! What a day! Tracy -- your new hair cut looks fab-u! Fantastic! :huggie: Tomorrow is the last day of summer... kids go back to school on Mon!! Am scheduling a pedicure for Mon morning to celebrate! I deserve it after 10 weeks of summer! I love Fall & Back-to-School time... to me it's a lot like New Year's... fresh starts & new routines... can't wait 'til the days are crisp & cool! Have a great night, everyone! OH! PS -- Clothing NSV today! Had nothing to wear today so I "shopped" in my closet & pulled out a cute hot pink/white gingham check searsucker shirt dress w/ short sleeves, size 22 & it fit! The sleeves were always the problem -- too tight! -- but not today! Yay! It was perfect for a hot day in the sun!

Ok so I changed my ticker and made my first goal 30BMI and if that is my goal I am halfway there. I was 179 way back when and a size 12. I don't know if I like this goal for a final goal but I am gonna go with this first and if I get to 180 and don't feel comfortable will just keep setting my goal ten pounds lighter at a time until I get to a weight that feels right for me.........alot higher than i think I want but who knows...........it might work!! It is a starting point!! Went to old navy today and the XXL was to big. I had to get the XL and I can't belive it fit!! It has been years since anything in Old Navy worked.........I have hope in a couple of months that my daughter and I might be able to shop in the same stores and I won't get so bored following her around..........NSV!! Ok I didn't buy anything but excited it fit anyway..........

I am still waiting for this NSV! Given my edema issues, it may never happen, but it would be so terrific! Congrats to you!

A couple NSV’s for spring! I ran 11 miles today 🙌🏽 Still working towards that 13.1, but I’m taking my time and preventing injuries along the way. I also ran a 33 minute 5k. My next goal will be to run one under 30minutes. I’m able to run up 4 flights of stairs at work to get to bed meeting (I’m an ER nurse) and only be semi-winded. I used to dread walking up even my own stairs in my house (I seriously would avoid going upstairs at all costs) and now it doesn’t really bother me. Still working toward the goals on the scale at 18 months out so any little NSV keeps the motivation going. 🧡 Shout out to my slow losers, not getting to goal before 1 year post op doesn’t mean you aren’t working just as hard.

Yep! You're not alone! That was a HUGE NSV for me. I felt like a "normal" person! I loved standing up just so I could sit down and do it all over again. I must look like a Jack-in-the-Box! LOL!

I had a NSV today! I went for a walk at work and it didn’t suck! I’m only a few weeks post-op but it’s crazy the positive effects I’m already noticing.

Evening, Violets.. We're baaaaaaaack. It was a great meeting with very interesting speakers. One of the pastors had gastric bypass in January and he had lost 80#. He really needed to lose it fast for health reasons, but he ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks with sepsis. I tried not to rub it in that we only spent one night. I sure did notice how many overweight people were at this meeting and I know I would have been one of them were it not for the band. I can't tell you what a great feeling it is to not be the heaviest one in the group. Well, I'm guessing you all have had that same nsv, and it's a very motivating one. I'm going to go watch the second half of the Pistons game and the Tigers and then head to the hot tub if it isn't raining and then to bed. Everyone have a good evening..

One of my biggest NSVs is hard to put into words. It’s similar to being a kid at school who has been laughed out of drama class, so despite wanting to be in the school play they tell themself: a) drama class is for crap people who have more ego than intelligence b ) they will probably be bad at it c) the class is pointless anyway Except all that is about the culture of dieting, gym going and other fitness and food culture things that non-obese people around me have been involved in. I guess you could also call it my Breakfast Club NSV. I’m the emo superior acting kid who’s finally decided I was cutting off my nose to spite my face by not joining in and having fun on my own terms. If that makes ANY sense?

I just had a nice experience. I guess you could call it an NSV. I've been a pretty good little bandster lately (even lost another pound!) so I'm in a bit of a 'groove'. Anyway, i went downstairs to our deli just to get some soup for lunch. There's a girl in front of me who's maybe 5'2" and about 240#. I kind of lean over and am looking at the pretty veggies that are available....some asparagus and squash...and i say to myself, "MMM..those look good!" Well she looks over and thinks I"m talking about the huge cookies that are right next to them and says, 'Oh yes they do!"....and grabs one for herself. She's waiting for her California Burger to come off the grill, has this humongous cookie, a Coke and bag of Cheetos. I had a cup of sausage & vegetable soup and a side of veggies. I'm NOT being critical of her, 'cause lord knows that was ME a year ago! I just had a moment there where I recognized that I HAVE made some progress. Yea me!

Tracy I laughed out loud last night about your MJC ref!!! LOL oh and I had my brows waxed yesterday and I thought of you! :tongue2: TOM is rough this time..... the PAIN....... I'm currently drinking a big glass of milk for my breakfast... OH and NSV... a blouse that I bought last year in size L (it is one of those NON stretch gauzey types... well I was so disgusted when I got it home and it wouldn even fit over my shoulders...... but I kept it and have tried it on about 1 time per month since............. TODAY it FIT like it is supposed to... with a bit of room!!!!!!!!!!! Didn't go with my slacks today, but I will post a pic maybe tomorrow of me wearing it! This proves what I had thought... I am losing inches... or else all my fat is falling downward.. LOL Have a great day

Good Morning Vi's~ I too slept hard last night. I didn't think I was going to, I still flet nauseated when I went to bed, and I kind of remember sometime in the night getting really hot, but nothing til the alarm went off at 5! Then Manda tucking Kinsey in bed with me at 6....then the alarm again a few minutes ago. Not sure when the builders are due here, but sometime today, and didn't want to have them ring the bell and find me still in jammies and asleep. I have to go out in the yard and show them the final resting place for the shop.....so got up. Now, I am up, have on a bra, brushed my teeth and hair, and pulled on some clothes---that is as good as it is getting for awhile!!! Have not eaten anything, but so far my stomach feels better, I do not want to eat.....so am going to have to think on what I might have in a little bit. For a long time I missed the back to school goings ons-----but have settled into not doing it pretty well. I did run into a totally bizarre kind of NSV thing I never dealt with before this year due to back to school. I got some $$$$ for my birthday so went to buy some new jeans, and there was squat to pick from, so when I mentioned it to the salesgirl in Maurices, she told me, they just had a hard time keeping stock during the back to school times. I have not work a "back to school" size clothes in a hunert years, so I never had the problem. So.....I held onto my $$$ and am waiting. I found nothing in the mall stores, or Target, I was getting so disgusted, til she said that, and I felt pretty doggone good about it then!! Terry, how are things with your Mom? And your Son? Want an extra son? Mine is on my list!! I wish they would get here and get started! I have to go to Farmington and go to the credit union and withdraw money to pay them! I went over last night, and I had put it off til the last minute because I felt crummy. But I sat in line behind another car in the drivethru when they left I pulled up, and the little metal door was closed over the canister. I looked at my clock and it said 5:43--so I hit the call button and nothing. I looked up at the window, and that witch in there was shaking her head no, and flipped a sign around that said closed. I was furious!!! I went around to the front to the walk in, and the sign says they are open from 9 AM to 5:45 PM. WTH???? 5:45??? I look then at their temp/clock sign out front and right then on their own clock it said it was 5:44. I was feeling so bad and was SSSOOOOOOO mad, I told Rick I am going in today and closing every account I have with them. I was sitting in their line---and they closed according to their own clocks early, I will just move my money elsewhere. So today, I am closing the savings account, and as our CD's mature, I am moving them as well. Never have I ever been treated friendly in there, so to heck with them! We originally years ago opened the account at the credit union because they were the cheapest place to finance a used car. We have kept the extra account, so we could use their financing if we wanted, and we liked having things a bit diversified, and it is locally run.....but they can do without my not so big bucks!!! LOL So will I do without them if the builders ever show up! Well my sleeping beauty is up, so I am going to go fix her some breakfast---she wants toast and jelly--might try a piece and see how it goes! BBL Kat

Evening, Violets.. Well, another concert done. We got a standing ovation so we must have done something right!! I had a couple of NSV's and then a real downer. Several people told me how nice I looked tonight.. actually heard the word pretty! :thumbup: BUT.. two of the girls forgot to bring white tee shirts to wear under the black tops so I told Bob to bring two of mine. One was a medium and one was a 2X from my former life. Well, the lady who wore the 2X one thanked me for bringing the shirt to her and said it was a good thing we were about the same size so it would fit her. arghhhhhhhhhhhhh I haven't worn a 2X in a long time! In those particular tees I wear a medium!!! OH well, can't have all NSV's all the time!! I'm off to go watch some TV with the Bobster and then head to bed. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well. We got Kat feeling better... now we really need to work on Laura!!!

HELLO V's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michelle you crack me up!!!! I can very well picture your mickey keds! It was cool and overcast today and I spent $200.00 on perenials for my yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OHHHHLLALLLAA I love spring......... and they are all planted and watered! I worked on my front beds which are 100% shade due to the big ass tree that covers the front half of the yard....... (last week I actually climbed on my roof to trim branches) NSV NSV NSV.... I have to say that I'm quite pleased with my efforts....... Have any of you ever trained a wisteria vine into a tree??? We have THE most beautiful one on campus at work and I think it would look great..... Funny part is DH gave me 60 bucks for mothers day flowers and I spent $200! LOL he about keeled over... I talk flowers and he rolls over dead..... oh well....... I love the big goober! I was itchy and sweaty,, and I crammed a fairly large piece of sour cream angel food cake down my pie hole... and oh imagine that IT GOT STUCK! So I let hot water beat down on my chest until it dislodged....... and I have been bad bad bad...... primo sabatage at work ... girls this is EXACTLY why I've lost 80 lbs 3 freaking times PRE-BAND......... and Michelle I had a dream about your blueberry buckle!!!!!!!!!!! I'm an idiot...... Oh and can we say this now........ NO FOOD POLICE next weekend. Please... I know I'm going to be bad..... so just bite your tongue while I run out of the room to PB! (I'm laughing as I type this but its only because I'm such a dork!)

Candy constipation at your stage..........yep I had it. I use benefiber everyday now but I think you have to wait a few weeks for that. I think it is the food change. The first month I was constipated. Never any diarrhea though Reggie. Changing stages was a huge temptation for me as well. I got tired of pureeing and the same foods over and over. Again I liked the soup stage I found purees harder to do. I have also probably experimented to much with food. Well salad is my perfect example. I have had it three times this week. I am thinking how I could replace it. But my stubborn mind says it healthy and why, why, why can't I??? It makes me full but I grew up with salads and no meat so maybe what I think is full is not the same as full for everyone else.................... Reggie I found after surgery I only like warm liquids. Not cold so I hear ya girl!! Weird because I drank diet coke alot with ice and loved it................. NSV- My underwear is falling off me again!! (TMI I know) second time in six week I have to make another trip to Lane Bryant, maybe next time I will be able to go to victoria secret!! The elastic just doesn't hug me anymore........Maybe I should ask Dr. Baggs to measure me instead of weigh me.........how embarrassing would that be!! Yep I see Robin this week and Dr. Baggs. I think I am working on 1/4 cup this week and not so much counting calories. I have been counting calories and estimating the size but realize I have it all backwards..............cup than calories. I feel like I am starting to make the band work!! LOL. But I have had some mess ups for sure with all this protien and vegetarian stuff.............again maybe four months was to fast for me to learn it all but I am finally getting it down!!

Angie~ I couldn't get through it. I lost my most 2 years ago...still sucks. I am not a mom either. But I forwarded it to all the teachers who are moms here, now they are mad because I've ruined their makeup, lol. Anyway, Happy Mom's Day to my violet sistas!!! I am proud to be in your company! Well, I think today is gonna be a bad eat day. It is Teacher Appreciation Day and the lounge is fulll of goodies, from donuts to fruit, chips, all kinds of crap! I had a SMALL muffin and some fruit. The muffin just made me sick, that is what i get. Then after school is a baby shower, and I was in charge of the cake. I will pick up a Red Velvet cake for the party. I will try to be good, I swear (I hope). Problem is that I feel great, same weight loss, clothes are so baggy, and I have no restriciton...oh, and I am way late for TOM. So, I will enjoy the party, just in moderation. Laura~ Good luck today! I wish I were getting a fill. Terry~ Sounds like your doing well. I can't wait to get to that place. That is a huge NSV for me, I live alone during the week and always was in a drive through. It has not been easy, especially w/ no restriction. But I figure, I can't have a diet coke anyway, so I don't need to go there. One thing is for sure...My skin has never looked better!!! Not one pimple (usually got 1-2 each month) since March 20!!! Mdrai that is so funny...bandlands This morning I was making coffee & i though Tracy is on her way now & tried to imagine what she's doing right now...is she getting prepped or on the table or what...I thought that was so strange...Someone I've never even MET & I'm waking round my kitchen thinking about her!! Anyway QUESTION PLEASE.... What's the story with "stretching your pouch?" Does that happen & how... I am having trouble remembering to SLOW DOWN drinking my shakes etc ...And when I remember I find it hard to do...although I have managed but sometimes I just go too fast & I wonder am I'm stretching something? Got my first "Are you loosing weight?" comment yesterday...Thank You!! Also my first NSV...my wedding & engagement rings are back on my finger!!! That was depressing growing out of them!!! Ms.Tracy--I may just have your answer!! I was just given a bunch of shirts---and the woman who gave them to me is smaller on top than I am, and also shorter. So I plan to go through them here the next day or so-----want me to forward the rest for you to go through? She has some nice ones, some I know we will not want in general, she went through a stage she dressed "older"! But in general---what I have seen looks like normal everyday shirts! She has put on too much weight to wear them....and handed them off to me----that in and of itself is an NSV if I ever had one!!! Let me know. Is there a style you prefer? I mean, I like longer V necks.....as a rule....but for years avoided stripes, and big prints, and am kind of now thinking WTH!!! LOL Laura----all of us with husbands, kids, parents, best friends--know what you are talking about. I DO come here and speak highly of my DH, I also come here and complain. With those we love whatever the relationship, we are free to say what we want, no one else has that option! I can call my DH a jerk, but would be highly offended for someone else to, and I would not hesitate to say so.....you are free however to say he is ACTING LIKE a jerk----I am the only one who can comment on whether he is acting or not!!! Good afternoon Violets! Kat: Your continued battle for Kinsey's health brought tears to my eyes.. that poor little baby. I have spent a good part of the day planting all my loot that I got from Walmarts garden center. Everything was marked 50% off so I planted 6 hostas a rose bush and spruced up a pot with some colorful caladium. I had gotten a bunch of glad bulbs free from work. I was a hot sweaty mess so I turned the hose on myself after watering the flowers... The shorts I am wearing are 16's and although I had to wrench them over my belly they feel ok and was an NSV for me. I think my fill is working because I've been eating very little and the scale was nice this morning teetering on 242... I WILL get the the 230's next week dammmmmmit! Monday I go back to the gym and dbf goes to Omaha for work. Hope everyone is having a great day.

So, make that 3 of us that did not understand what Jenn said... Love the pics Michelle & Pam! Judy...what about that hot tub? Frank and I had a nice lunch at a a really good mexican food place. I could not eat much (thank goodness). Today is our five year anniversary. Wow, time flies!! Around noon I started getting a headache and I took 2 tylenol and it has not gone away.:thumbup: The past couple of days I have had great NSVs. Yesterday when I dropped dd off at daycare one of the teachers said I look fantastic. I get to work and my BOSS said "My GOD you are getting skinny". Then I go to get my hair done and when my hairdresser brought me to the shampoo bowl she pops her hands on her hips and says "OK, me and the other ladies want to know how in the world you are losing so much weight!" I told her my lapband story. Makes me feel so great!:mad: Tomorrow we are leaving for the weekend. I will check back in the morning before we leave.

Ok - it's offical - I am in "Bandster Hell" :embarassed: This morning i went to the gym and walked for 1 hr (a big nsv for me) came home had 1/2 cup egg beaters with a sprinkle of cheese - ate it and was still hungry - ate the same thing last week and was FULL.. I don't go for a fill until 9/5...
