Everything is going really good. Getting fills every two weeks, really starting to feel real restriction. On the 18th I'll be 4 month post-op and even with the 15lb muscle weight gain I had last month I'm still ahead of the curve when it comes to losing, so I'm doing really well with a weightloss around the 60lb mark, I was closer to 80 but I look better and feel better, scale is up but measurements and dress sizes are down no complaints here. Hope October hurries for you! If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Stop it now. Plateaus end - they always do - but don't let this one end with a weight gain. Keep on doing what you know you should and can do. Can you share with me whatever it is that is going on in your life? We are all in this together

Hi there! How are you doing? I went to the doc today, and unfortunately had a weight gain :-( But after discussing everything that has been going on, he concluded I was over-filled. So he took some fluid out. He is hoping this jumpstarts my weight loss again.
As for the smoking, I have fallen off the wagon a couple of times, but I just get right back on. How are you doing with your quitting?
Hope all is well!! Take care, and hope to talk to you soon :-)

Hey!!! I was taking Lexapro for anxiety. It didn't go well with me, and it made me depressed. After I put on the weight I was sure enough depressed. Major weight gain is normally not a significant side effect of Lexapro. They think I may have thyroid problems, too, which can make meds act crazy! I am no longer on Lexapro. I am taking Wellbutrin, and it had been okay. How are you?

Had my 2nd fill and the PA made me feel worse that I do. In the course of a few days I've went from 275 to 280 today. My lady fill weigh in I was 281. So to them I've lost one pound. When I told the broad what I ate and how much i am working out she looked at me like I was lying. She said there is no way one cheat day would cause so much weight gain and even still I should weigh less. Next time I have to bring print outs of what I eat on MFP. So angry!!!! According to ...

Hi Texas,
Good to hear from you. Thanks for the compliment on my page. I did try to match my page to my 'duckiness' haha. Just wanted to let you know my final paperwork will be submitted to surgeon on Monday and then comes my wait for insurance approval. I can't imagine they would refuse me for any reason. I have several weight related health issues and a bmi of 59 [yuk].
I also looked at your page - very nice - and your photos were so good. How much excercise do you do per week? I hope to become more active very soon. I used to walk 4 mi. per day but not since the fibro/weight gain.
Hang in there !

The vacation was great and lovely and I stayed very active while still getting to sample foods I hadn't yet tried since surgery. After getting back, I decided to stay off of social media for a little while, which also included these forums. I had a lot of work in the office to catch up on and needed to focus on that. Of course, the past week or so I have been struggling a lot mentally and emotionally. I've desperately wanted comfort food and have done well not giving into that temptation. This week doesn't feel like it'll go much better, but October always seems to be the worst month for me.
Had an anxiety dream last night involving a substantial weight gain in the past week. Absolutely no basis in reality since I've stayed on plan. I think it stems from Saturday when I ate some extra calories due to a 2 hour hike earlier in the day that burned 900 calories. The extra calories brought my total intake up for 1025, as opposed to 700-800. And my extra calories were from curry egg salad, so it was a protein packed choice. And yet, my brain some how decided that would lead me to gain 10 pounds in one week and threw that are me while I slept. Brains can be jerks.

Hi everyone. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I was walking because I felt so good on Thursday and Friday. However I think I have been doing too much walking and sewing. Last night as I was working on sewing a curtain for my patio which I hope to me able to get out onto in the next coming weeks my back across the shoulder really started to hurt. Today the lower back shoulder pain has moved to the side breast underarm pit area. Is it possible for that pain to move? It makes me wonderful if the lower back shoulder pain I had was gas pain due to the laparoscopic surgery. If it is when does this gas pain truly leave the body? This new location pain hurts as much as the lower shoulder back pain did. Also how is it possible to gain weight when all I have had is protein soups and shakes? Yesterday when I got on the scale I was up 4 pounds. It makes no sense. Does liquid Tylenol with codeine cause weight gain even when you don't eat anything? Sorry for the venting but today is not a good day. I am frustrating that I may be backsliding not progressing.

Thanks but a super hero I don't think so. During the 3 procedure operation I had my gallbladder taken out. This is not incision pain. It is in the right side lower back shoulder pain that moved today to the breast armpit area. I saw my PCP on Thursday when I had the pain for 6 days all ready. He thought when the nurses and Pt lifted me off the toilet they broke a rib. But that was not the case. He gave me liquid Tylenol with codeine and it was helping but when the pain switched to the breast armpit area the meds were not helping any more. The walking I was doing was with the walker but today I couldn't even get out the door. All I did was relax in my recliner, surf the net and watch TV. It is only 10 days post op so I was surprised to see a stall all ready

Don't psych yourself out ssflbelle, you are doing fine and everything is working fine. Just chill out and heal a little bit. Slow but sure is the tortoise. Take the small victories and I agree you should stay off the scale for a while. Gas pains can and do move from one area to another sometimes. I had similar problems years ago when I had an abdominal surgery. The gas working out was the worst part.
Don't be down on yourself !

Hi I am not sure about the gas pains - I am one week out of surgery and have been trying to walk a bit when I feel up to it probably not as hard as you walk tho. I was also having a meltdown over my weight gain from surgery so good news day 8 from surgery and finally lost 2 lbs .... geez seems slow but so happy to finally be lower than my weight before the surgery!!! Hope your gas pain subsides soon!

ok, so I was a little irresponsible on NYE and had some (alot) of Doritos and half a shot of coffee patron to say goodbye to 2015 and have gained 6lbs, YES 6! I have made the toilet my new boyfriend as we have a very intimate relationship now and as I'm back on my magic carpet ride (my name for my journey) my body is till hating me for what I did to it! Is this normal? I mean the weight gain and the extreme number of bowel movements (normal just a lot) Please help?????
-
@Dub You're absolutely right, no need to feel guilty about the Patron, and I've lost all but 1lb of that regain but I'll think twice about the Doritos next time...them suckers are no joke..total slider food. I could've eaten the whole bag!!!
@Theresa64 coffee never bothered me, that totally sucks!!! Feel better hun!!!!
@jane13 havent been as adventurous to try sweets yet, but these Doritos were an incredible DETOX program

See I could only imagine the pain to be comparable to my c-section w/ my second kid. did you have a c-section w/ yours? It was painful. Not able to stand straight up for awhile. I think about a wk and a half out I was feelin' a lot more normal. I will eventually get one when I'm sure I'm done having kids b/c my kids and weight gain destroyed my lower stomach. So far though I am still holding out hope it MIGHT bounce back! haha!

That's awesome! Congrats on your success. I'm down 56 lbs now. I feel wonderful. We have a lot in common. I had a breast reduction too. Only mine was 6 years ago. They had come back a little with the weight gain but are back to the size they were post-reduction - Thank Goodess! My goal is to loose 25 more lbs and I'm hoping I can do that by my one year anniversary. Wish me luck and much success as you continue your journey! Take Care!

It's probably water retention. When I was obese, the only way I could not retain water is to consume around 90-100 ounces of water per day. 64oz was just enough, but for me to get the kidneys kicking and filtering better, I had to increase the water intake. It was tough, but I managed it.
I would definitely check with you PCP and have some labs pulled to ensure there is not an underlying cause for the weight gain.
I am not sure if this could affect your weight loss.
Best wishes on getting your date.
