I'm only 2 weeks post-op but my first NSV was pulling out a dress shirt from wayyyy back in my closet (it actually had dust on it, that's how long it's been since I wore it last) and I buttoned it up and it fit. I'm a teacher and one of my many goals is to wear buttoned shirts and ties to school. I never have before because they were uncomfortable and I just didn't like how I looked in them. I LAUGHED AND SAID YES OF COURSE I HAVE NOT TOLD THEM ANYTHING ABOUT THE SURGERY AND SO I SEND THE ONE I HAVE HERE AND HE WAS LIKE OMG CLAU THAT NOT YOU I SAID YES IT IS WHY HE IS OMG YOU LOOK SO DIFFRENT I SAID REALLY SO I SEND ANOTHER ONE ONE I TOOK IN CHICAGO AND HE KEPT SAYING OMG WHEN YOU WERE CHUNKY YOU LOOKED GOOD NOW NOW YOU LOOK SUPER GOOD. I LAUGHED AND SAID THANK YOU .. I THINK ITS THE FIRST TIME I TAKE A COMPLEMENT WITHOUT SAYING OH WELL ITS BECAUSE LOL .. I FELT GOOD. OK SO I TALKED TO ONE OF MY FRIENDS IN MEXICO AND SHE SAW ME BACK IN FEB WHEN I WENT SO THEY STARED A DIET ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND SHE HAS LOST 44 POUNDS I WAS LIKE REALLY WOW GOOD FOR YOU SO KNOW WE ARE ON COMPETITION OF WHO WILL LOOK BETTER IN JAN WHEN I GO LOL SO I REALLY NEED TO START BOOT CAMP WHO IS IN LOL . I LOOK INTO GYM YESTERDAY AND I THINK I AM GOING FOR IT OK GIRLS TAKE CARE .. PLS MISS SICKIES TAKE CARE OF YOUR SELFS I DONT WANT TO GET SICK LOL LOVE YA CLAU :whoo:I WILL SIRVIVE LOL !!!

Alright ladies let me start by saying brandi you are a firecracker losing weight has given you so much more than I think you know I just knowing you online can tell a big difference in your self worth go gurl congrats on the fours i would have passed out steph and sweethot jogging way to go oh mi I can hardley believe how far we all have came and brandy the grocery man that was a moment to die for I had another nsv at work this guy was looking for me because I had waited on him earlier that day I work at a bank for yall that don;t know and he was like were is that lady with brown hair he said she is medium build cute and younger I got back from lunch and my coworker told me I about passed out medium built I said he needs a exam of his eyes but all the same I am on the cloud nine offically i am losing about 3 lbs a wk now ladies hooray

Sooo one of my nsv is I can bend over and tie my shoes before I couldn't & needed help & could barely breathe while trying. Also my 2x shirts look like a sheet on me now! I'm so happy -

Oh god, a month out tomorrow and I already have had so many thrilling NSV's: - I'm not constantly overheated so I'm using the A/C less at home and will save $$$ - saving $$$ on food - people keep telling me I look "Rested" "Rejuvenated" or that I'm "glowing." A close friend told me I seemed "the best I've been in awhile." - I moved to to a tighter hook on my bras - I can walk up the hill on my way home from work without needing to catch my breath - In fact I am already walking faster and longer than I have in the last 2 years

3 months out and NSV I had a follow up appointment with my Diabetes Dr. The staff had not seen me since before my surgery. The staff did not recognize me. To top off the day my labs were great. my A1C is a 5.9 Diabetes well controlled.

So I dont know if this is really a NSV since I am still pre op but it feels like one for me, I have tried so many different protien powders inorder to find one that I can actually drink with out it feeling like it will come back up and is still with in my NUts guidelines and this mourning I FINALY DID IT I FOUND ONE THAT IS NOT THAT BAD AND THE NUT IS OKAY WITH YEA!!!!! so I guess persistance does pay off anyway I was so excited I just had to post

Today is one month since my surgery. I'm down 21 lbs on my scale! My NSV was yesterday and today. I have a few pairs a pants that were my size but just too tight compared to the others. I was able to wear one pair yesterday and just put on the other pair-they feel even better! These are really the first things I can really say I noticed!!!

Ok, so I made a daytrip up to Cedar Rapids, IA today (5 1/2 hr drive one way) and about 2 hrs into the drive, my butt started to hurt a little. I finally realized its because I don't have much cushion left on the tushy.... So, my butt bones were sitting on the car seat. Very uncomfortable drive. Guess its time to get a pillow and look like an old lady. A weird NSV, but who would have thought I wouldn't have enough fat left on my butt that sitting in the car would ever be a problem. LOL

quick NSV-- I had the energy today to go all day getting the house ready for a reception. No naps and not hungry at all! AMAZING! Had to stop and remind myself to eat a yogurt at 3 for lunch! I love this sleeve-it is still working for me! yipee!!! -
My nsv are people feeling bad because they didn't recognize me, fitting in booths , seatbelts fit in small cars, my kids arms fit around me! Using the regular public bathrooms not the bigger handicap one, willpower, enjoying walking,,scrubbing my floor on my hands and knees,actually noticing that I am an attractive women thanks to my friend Lisa taking my picture not being overly tired being an inspiration to others in my town to get the sleeve and clothes fit although I hate when the tops I like don't fit but all in all that's a nsv!!!we all need a pat on the back!!!

When you buy a bathing suit and feel comfortable in your own skin. Wow just realized I have never been photographed in a bathing suit and felt ok about it enough to show others. NSV!

Yay, My NSV's - one month surgeryversary 1. My plantar fasciitis (heels pain) is gone, so instead of bulky orthopaedics boots I bought pretty sandals (it is summer in Australia) 2. My week ago bought top is loose and I need a new one 3. I've been in a shop for NORMAL-NOT-FAT-PEOPLE and things fit! (the best thing ever) -

I may be dumb, but what does NSV stand for? -
My first NSV is that my hip has not been hurting me since I had surgery. It's amazing what the few pounds I lost on my preop diet and since surgery have done for me. I was having to take a strong NSAID for my hip and another pill to keep the NSAID from messing up my stomach. Now, I don't even need to think about it. My knees feel better too. YAY!

My silly nsv: So when I don't have pockets I often stash my phone in my bra. Today I did that and when I bent over my phone kept falling out! I guess there's more room in there now!

They never end, love the NSV. Yesterday ran into someone involved in one of my kids' activities I hadn't seen in two years, she didn't recognize me, she said-- oh we used to see your son all the time but he was never with you, who was that with him?

Major NSV today! I bought a Kia Soul last year and have always felt that the seatbelt plug-in was way too close to my butt. I have pretty much been dealing with it because I felt that I was "too big", so I tolerated it. And dealt with it by making sure I sat as far left as I could. Tonight, driving home from about 50 miles away, I noticed that I kept shifting in my seat. Finally I realized that I have about 2 inches on either side of my boo-tay in the seat and I was shifting because I was sitting too far to the left. So, I moved around and got comfy and the seat belt plug was NOT digging into my tush! I can't wait to see how big the seat gets as I lose weight!!

Tiffy, I am looking so forward to displacing enough water I can float in the tub! Wow, so great! But tonight in prep for my trip back to MX with my family, I soaked in the bathtub, something I haven't been able to do for a very long time, due to being so very heavy and with 2 knee replacements in 08. But I was able to get in and out gracefully, even knelt on the one knee that was done first to get out and it wasn't so bad as I thought it would be! Not a biggie for an NSV, but I almost cried with relief that I can bathe again and not just shower all the time!

Big NSV for me this weekend - Moved both of the boys back to the dorms to start college. Just like last year, we carried all the stuff in, then went to Target to pick up all of the last minute things. Last year, my knees were screaming and my feel were like fat puffy sausages that were threatening to burst at any moment. I didn't dare sit down anywhere because I knew I would never be able to get up and walk back out to the car again. This year....we carried everything in, put it away and then as I was walking through Target I realized something.... I FELT GOOD!! AND HAPPY!!! I had energy and I wasn't hurting anywhere!! We bopped back over to the college and had to run through the rain (ok, well I am still pretty big lol so I maybe more like did this weird loping fast walk thing haha) back into the dorms and finished setting up the rooms. It doesn't really seem like much when I write about it now, but it felt so good!! :nono:

About 1-2 inch from legs and arms NSV: my face looks completely different in photos! Also got back into my favourite Barbour coat! 😊
