Sweet--I am sure you are exaggerating and you look good in a 10 silly girl! Nat---wooo hooo 16! ALMOST OUT OF LANE GIANTS! You go girl! Bman--I agree with Steph--go get checked out! Kay--let me know how the Body Bugg works for you babe! WOO HOO! Bk--of course I had confidence girl! lol...I was young! I was just 18 or 19, a size freaking 7 and HUGE tatas where they should be! lol..... I wish my kids were older. This candy is gonna kill me! I had a HUGE NSV today, I went to a chapter for work that I haven't seen in about 4-6 weeks. Well anyways. They were all amazed at how I looked. I got tons of compliments, even from guys saying "I know I am not supposed to say this, but you have lost a ton of weight and look great", but the best thing was 1 lady who knew I was going to get PS. She said to me "I can't believe you are back after surgery so fast! You look great!!" WOOOO HOOOO!! It took me a minute to convience her that I hadn't had it yet, but she was convienced I did! Well, I posted this elsewhere too, but just got back form holiday, and on reflection there were 3 NSVs this week (Much needed as I gained 2lb!). 1 = On a shopping trip I chose a lovely maxi dress, my husband makes me put it back saying "you can't buy that you look like you are a fat person hiding in there, but you aren't, so choose something that shows off your figure please!" - I stood in the store and cried (for a moment hubby was not sure if he'd put his foot in it or not). 2 = We went to the beach on what looked like a cloudy morning, so I didn't pack a swimsuit, by the time we arrived it was boiling, so for the first time EVER I decided to be bold, and sunbathed in just my knickers (they were very nice ones I'd just treated myself to, so why not?), to my surprise, nobody passing by laughed, complained, or said anything unflattering - RESULT! 3 = As someone who is pretty camera shy, I avoid holiday snaps, but the one and only picture of me on holiday is a picture of someone distinctly average (which is a really good thing), I just keep looking at it, and thinking that if I passed the person in that photo in the street, they wouldn't strike me as a particularly big person (not that I walk around critiquing people I hasten to add). I'm getting there - slow and steady wins the race I guess!

Nothing trivial about it, just the opposite. The journey you have been on is so remarkable. You should write a book; I am sure it would be successful. Soak up the love, Tiff...and enjoy! When . . . every time the waiter comes to the table you rave about the food so that they won't ask (again. .) if anything is wrong with your meal! . . . you can't find anything to wear because all of your clothes are too big! . . . you have to go shopping to figure out what size you are! . . . you update your signature on LBT every time you drop 1/10th of a pound! (But don't update it if it goes up a wee bit before you lose again. . . Or is that just me?) :wink2: . . . you are no longer terrified that you'll get stuck sitting in the middle seat on a flight (and all the seats are much more comfortable). . . . you get hungry, you are REALLY REALLY hungry, but get satisfied with just a few bites. (I've learned to stop myself from telling people who don't know about the band that "I am so hungry!" when we sit at the table because then they think it's really weird that I hardly touch my meal.) . . . abbreviations like PB, WLS and NSV need no explanation! (Productive burp, weight loss surgery and non-scale victory for any newbies!) . . . you lose weight over Christmas and Easter . . whereas you always used to gain! . . . you read all 24 pages of this thread because it's just so true and feels so good to see that other people are going through the same things you are! Things I've learned reading this post: I'm not the only person who occasionally slimes directly into the trash! (Sorry . . gross!) And, I'm not the only person who wants to tell other people I see who are very overweight about the band b/c it's totally changed my life. This was the best thread ever! Catherine -
Wow Telly !!!! 199!!! That rocks! You are going to be at your goal weight before we know it! Small NSV~ My cousin and I went and got measured at the gym Friday... She is 5'4" and 152 lbs. My calf is only 1 inch bigger around than hers!!! Now, the waist is another story, but that made me feel good. All I can think about is Amy and her apron removal... I want one!!!!

Hi everyone! We're another day closer to our journey to fitness! Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'm making my wish list today. All the things I have always wanted to be able to do but haven't been comfortable to do so because of my weight. I want to keep this so if the scale isn't moving as fast as I may like, I can look for NSV's like the things on my list. Meshultz~ I'm going to tell my family, but I'll wait til they're back from their vacation.. I don't want them to spend their vacation worrying abotu me, LOL. I know I'll need the support and understanding to know shove food in my face just "because it's tiime to eat"... -

Hi all, I just had to share a funny NSV this morning. I'm sitting in my desk chair at work and realize my feet are dangling like a little kid and I'm not siting all the way back in my chair....I had to go find the lever to change the depth of the seat since I didn't need all that extra room for my butt anymore !!!! Hello Guys, I got my first fill last week. It feels just right. I am eating about a cup of food per meal. I am so happy about my band. NSV- Took three large garbage bags of "large" clothes to goodwill. Got off of the CPAP machine. Got off of blood pressure meds!. Feeling great. UNTIL TODAY - I got a bill from the hospital for $12,849.00 for the surgery. It seems even after jumping thru hoops from Jan to July and getting a written pre-approval from my insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield) they denied payment. I MAY HAVE TO GET BACK ON MY BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED. Thanks for allowing me to vent!

My nsv's are... I can now cross my legs. I'm in a size 18 jeans..not stretch anymore. I can walk a mile and a half and still feel great. I have a bag of my lularoe clothes to a good friend the other day because they were all too big now. Hubby and i's sex life after 26 years is way better. Love hearing my sons say..you're looking good mom. Wouldn't trade this for anything. Lml. trixie's line

I am going to a wedding and feeling down cause after all of my weight loss i can't find anything to fit. Went to layne bryant Everything was too big but couldn't find anything in reg stores either. Since my top and bottom are two different sizes I decided to get a skirt and dressy top. Easier said then done Last week I got a skirt size 12. So far so good This week i went through the tourture of looking for a jacket/ top to wear to the wedding. I went to Lord and Taylor and there were tons to pick from. But would they fit??? Yup they did. Thats not the NSV, well it is but not the one that i was posting about. When i finished in the dressing room The sales woman said which side did you get the clothes from so it is easier to put back and i figured large size right. I told her i didn't understand the question, cause they were 14, 16. To me that was a big size right. I told her the left side not right. She said oh thats the small side. OMG No one ever told me i was a small size. so a 12 on the bottom and 14-16 on top. I couldn't move i was in shock!! Wendy

Jill--glad you are feeling better. For me when I am too tight an unfill just does the trick and I am able to get right back on track. Steph--hoping to be a hot mama??? C'mon, you will be! Forget aboutit, you will be skinny and stealing the brides thunder. But not on purpose of course because that would just be mean. NSV ladies--I got called a skinny b*tch! WOO HOOO!!!!!!! :scales: I made somone mad at the grocery store parking lot and when I got out she yelled at me at called me a "stupid skinny bitch" lol...I am just sticking to the skinny part.

Huge NSV for me today - or well.. a nice compliment. One of the lady members was just in for the first time this season and she said oh Stephanie you look so nice and then in a whisper .. are you losing weight? ROFL!!! I whispered back .. 40 lbs! She's like 85 y/o - love her to death! Then she took me out into the dinning room and chattered away about diets for half an hour! I expect to get more like that when the members start rolling in from the south. I had another lady in today and she said Stephanie you look so nice, you got your hair cut didn't you? I said um well er..yes I did. And then she said how much easier it is when its short. If you recall from my before pic, its about the same as I've always kept it. Just funny how the weight has made a difference but they just can't really tell if what exactly it is. Or they are just to nice to mention it... except in whispers. LOL Brandi its always been a dream of mine to go cross country and camp along the way. No highways only side roads, stay 2 nights and then hit the road again. How cool would that be? Have a great weekend ladies. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow.

Sweet...what GREAT NSVs!!! I went for a 4 mile hike yesterday and MAN am I feelin it today!! But...I'm just glad that I can get out there and do it and not die! LOL Guess what all.....I GOT A JOB OFFER!!! FINALLY!!!! It is a Temp to perm position, but it will be good b/c it's a long commute for me so I'll be able to try it out and see if I can handle it while still looking for something else, but I'll have income coming in!! YEAH!!!!! Thanks to all of you for the good vibes, thoughts and prayers!!! I'm sooooo happy and relieved! Now I can go xmas shopping!!! :confused: Hope you're all having a good weekend! back later...

NSV today: Co-worker: Are you getting skinny? Me: Trying! And now to TV... I love Rob and Amber, too, but sometimes feel like I'm in the minority! Yes, Joyce shaved her head in her season. She also went on to win with her husband, Uchenna. I think they are the only ones who have won on AS. I also hate that dating couple. What a crock. So many other deserving teams should be there over them!

Sweethot - girlfriend you misssed the nutter butter cookies - they are to die for under the chocolate fountain!!!! Everything is better under the chocolate fountain. Nat - I totally understand your nsv! My thing is to lay in bed and feel my ribs - one night I thought I was feeling my band until I figured out it was part of my ribcage. go figure? Winter jackets? I am rocking my dd's last years pea coat - I guess its a pea coat but knee length. I love it and feel super sexy in it with my black boots and black gloves. I just ate a slice of pizza and I'm dying - I guess I better go try to throw up - this is ridiculous. It wasn't a big slice, actually a small slice of a med. pizza - last year at this time I'd have eaten 6 slices. Later chicas!

I'm only 2 weeks post-op but my first NSV was pulling out a dress shirt from wayyyy back in my closet (it actually had dust on it, that's how long it's been since I wore it last) and I buttoned it up and it fit. I'm a teacher and one of my many goals is to wear buttoned shirts and ties to school. I never have before because they were uncomfortable and I just didn't like how I looked in them. OK SO I TALKED TO ONE OF MY FRIENDS IN MEXICO AND SHE SAW ME BACK IN FEB WHEN I WENT SO THEY STARED A DIET ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND SHE HAS LOST 44 POUNDS I WAS LIKE REALLY WOW GOOD FOR YOU SO KNOW WE ARE ON COMPETITION OF WHO WILL LOOK BETTER IN JAN WHEN I GO LOL SO I REALLY NEED TO START BOOT CAMP WHO IS IN LOL . Alright ladies let me start by saying brandi you are a firecracker losing weight has given you so much more than I think you know I just knowing you online can tell a big difference in your self worth go gurl congrats on the fours i would have passed out steph and sweethot jogging way to go oh mi I can hardley believe how far we all have came and brandy the grocery man that was a moment to die for I had another nsv at work this guy was looking for me because I had waited on him earlier that day I work at a bank for yall that don;t know and he was like were is that lady with brown hair he said she is medium build cute and younger I got back from lunch and my coworker told me I about passed out medium built I said he needs a exam of his eyes but all the same I am on the cloud nine offically i am losing about 3 lbs a wk now ladies hooray

Oh god, a month out tomorrow and I already have had so many thrilling NSV's: - I'm not constantly overheated so I'm using the A/C less at home and will save $$$ - saving $$$ on food - people keep telling me I look "Rested" "Rejuvenated" or that I'm "glowing." A close friend told me I seemed "the best I've been in awhile." - I moved to to a tighter hook on my bras - I can walk up the hill on my way home from work without needing to catch my breath - In fact I am already walking faster and longer than I have in the last 2 years
