Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first

I can relate so hard to all of the above but the biggest NSV for me recently was that a few weeks ago we discovered that my 10 year old can actually put his arms all the way around me when I hug him now! Now he loves to "trap" me in a hug! Could not be sweeter!!! -
I had my first NSV. I went shopping today and bought size 18 pants. I was a 22/24 when I started. I was really afraid to try them on in fear that they wouldn't fit and I would have been really depressed. I put them on and they fit. I almost did the happy dance in the dressing room. I feel like I do not look any smaller but it did feel good to fit in a smaller size.

Rabbits and Turtles United New Year Challenge
Marimaru replied to It's me-Debbydo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think I fergot to log into this challenge last week. I was up 2 lbs last week and I'm back down to 225, so that equals no change basically. In NSV land... My mom is really happy that I'm getting my old self back. She comments every time she sees my fingernails painted a funky color (blue, green, etc). After my sister's wedding in April she may help me put a few green streaks in my hair. In high school I did all of it teal/green and it looked awesome, but I just don't know that I could do the whole thing again now. But a few select streaks would just look awesome. :thankyou: -

1/3/16 214 lbs 1/31/06 212 lbs 2/2/06 210 lbs I am not doing so hot on the loss. I even had a tiny refill up to 1.5 ccs. Hmmm. NSV- I have had at least 6 different people ask if I am losing weight this week. I havent even lost that much but I think it makes a lot of difference in my size and looks. I know that putting on that last 15-20 lbs took about a year and really was the final straw,,, flat out looked FAT, face and eyes looked fat and puffy, started hiding under loose shirts (trying to, lol). NSV 2- this one is the BIG ONE!!! I have been given the okay to start cutting my Actos in half, only 15mg now. With the lower carb intake my doctor thinks I will be fine on lower dose now. We'll see, but blood sugars have been really good for weeks! I had to edit this because the very day after this post I hit 210 and again the next day 210. I had been seeing 210-212 but didnt believe it yet, lol! -

start: 1/3/06 210 lbs 1/8/06 205 lbs (-5) 1/15/06 205 lbs (0) 1/22/06 203 lbs (-2) 1/29/06 205 lbs (+2) I had a bad week this week... binge eating... 2/5/06 204 lbs (-1) 2/12/06 201 lbs (-3) 2/19/06 200 lbs (-1) total: 10 lbs gone I have to admit, I only exercised one day last week. Bad Christi! DH even had something to say about it, which made it even worse. I could have slapped him, but instead, I resolved to get back on track this week. NSV: I found a belt that I bought many many years ago that before banding I had a gap of about 6" where it would not fit around my waist. I put it on just for the hell of it, and not only was I able to get it on, I got it into the 3rd hole! -

OK, I think I've got it now. Starting weight - 256 (what I weighed a couple of days ago when this challenge was issued, and I accepted -) Goal Weight on March 1, 2006 - 244 pounds = 12 pounds down or 1.5 pounds for almost 8 weeks - (Barely enough to keep me from being disqualified as a bunny, and just enough to avoid qualification to join the turtle club) Recent GIANT NSV - In Winter of 2004, I went skiing with my CEO. I was in such bad shape that I had to make up excuses when I could only last two runs. (knees, goggles fogging up, can't see, boots hurt, etc.) Yesterday, (one year later) I did over 15 runs with him, kept up, and would have loved to continued skiing, except the lift closed! My, what an amazingly beautiful day, and wonderful experience to be able to ski again! What's more, I looked up the caloric consumption of a day's skiing. Figuring half the time was on the lift and half the time was spent skiing, I still burned 2,200 calories. BURN IT, BABY!!! :banana See you all on the other side of the scale on March 1, and GOOD LUCK!!!! -

No weight change. Vines, can I go with you for that ticker tattoo? My NSV is that last week on my lunch break I had no idea what I wanted to eat, so I started walking. I ended up walking 2 miles, just because it felt good. -

1-3-06 Today I weighed 254.5. My NSV would have to be working the courage up to sit in the cheering section at our basketball game today. I don't usually do the challanges, but since it is a new year and I want a new me, I will do this one! This challange is a great idea because it isn't only focusing on your weight loss but your non-scale victories as well. Good luck to all! --Kylie -

I'm going to start a separate thread just for weight loss. This way I'm not stepping on Debbydoos great NSV thread. But I'm still in this challenge! I say we have to list our NSV each Monday, how's that? -

1/2/06: 220 1/9/06: 221 1/15/06: 221 I'm weighing in a little early this week... I stayed the same weight but I had a good NSV today. I was able to get through almost all of Kare's exercise CD! I skipped 3 songs. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, 23 minutes on the elliptical, and 5 minutes of cooldown/stretching for a total of 58 minutes. It's probably been about 8 years since I worked out that hard. -

Challenge start: 240 Now: 234 It's hard to find an NSV this week. How about this: I'm working massive overtime right now but I'm not giving in and eating crap out of the vending machines like I always have in the past in these "crunch times" at work. Even if I'm not the perfect bandster right now, I'm planning out my day, getting in my Protein, taking my Vitamins, and getting almost-adequate rest. Which for right now is what I can handle. I'm not giving up! -

Hey Y'all! I'll kick in a prize, too. Some scratch tickets or something. I am going to post along with you - but it will be hard for me to play properly, since I don't have a scale - and, my gym doesn't have one yet, either. I will HAVE to focus on life, since I have NO IDEA of my current weight. My NSV for this week? 15 minutes on the Evil Eliptical machine before my heart rate got too high to continue. I do treadmill, & bike, too - but the eliptical is the one that kicks my butt - so that's what I call an NSV. -

No weight change... NSV... I went to a bridal expo on Sunday and realized today that the entire time I was there I wasn't self conscious of my weight. I think that's pretty cool.
