Stef... Cheer up:whoo::whoo:...don't be discouraged!!! Even though it's only a little, your weight loss is good. My doc only recommends 8-10lbs a month. If you've been doing that----GREAT!!! If not, remember it didn't come on overnight:cry:cry...so it won't come off overnight. Thank of all of the NSV that you've had. Just wanted to give you some encouragement!!!!!:clap2::clap2:

These are all so terrific!!! :thumbup: I was just banded on Oct. 4th and have not yet hit my first NSV but A huge on for me will be when I dont feel my butt sittin on the back of my thighs anymore!!!!:w00t: Y'all are great and a huge insipration. I cant wait to post mine!!!

My NSV today is this. For the second time in three days, I am moving my younger daughter's college stuff out of her 14th floor dorm and bringing a carload home. Although my joints are hurting from my arthritis, I have not been out of breath even once. This is amazing to me, because less than six months ago, I could not walk even half a block with empty arms without getting winded. Now less than nine weeks postop, I can do all of this with ease and feel so much healthier. The surgery has truly saved my life. -

I love all of the "little details " that can mean so much to each individual. I still have a ways to go ,but am feeling so much better overall. I'm thankful for my health and being able to chase after my 2year old. I went out for my sister's bday last night and was told by her friend that I looked "timeless....just like you did in high school!!!! " I also wore a fitted size 16 that still had some room in it!! I am thankful to be able to share these little things with people who actually "get" what it is like to go through these little obstacles that overtime we accept as being normal. I sat down with my husband in that fitted dress and didn't feel the need to get a pillow and cover my stomach! Big plus right there buddy!! Ready for my next NSV!! -

well I know I've just lost 20 lbs. so far however I just had a NSV. My neighbor, whom I haven't seen since I started the pre-op diet two weeks ago, just saw me outside and said I looked great and looked like I had lost a little weight. I beamed and said yes, I'm trying to watch what I eat, lol. Just made me feel good so I thought I'd share. happy moment, can't wait for more moments like that -

So went in for a regular doctor's appt. to check on my diabetes . I was a little down because I believe I could be losing more weight . And he told me that my A1C has gone from 11.6 to 7(still high but 7 is better than 11). Knowing that made me happy . And that is my NSV ..Getting my diabetes under control is always a victory -

I love these posts!!! I can't wait to ride on a carnival ride with my kids. My NSV's so far are: Being able to wear an XL shirt that my son gave me 2 yrs ago (He kept asking why I hadn't worn it and thought I didn't like it. I didn't have the heart to admit that I couldn't wear it!), having a coworker tell me I needed new jeans because I'm almost mooning her in the old ones every time I bend over, having to sell brand new winter clothes that I bought last year because they are way too big and being able to complete the HipHop Abs workout DVD with my 8 year old daughter without passing out! -

Love these NSVs! I posted this already but yesterday I got new jeans and I'm down from an 18 to a 12 in the same old brand. Yippee! Went to a birthday party last night and saw a couple of people who haven't seen me slowly shrinking. Fuss was made and I felt uncomfortable (very few people know about my band) but another part of me felt like it must all be real if others are noticing like that. -

Good one readyset. I can't wait till you slip into that airplane seat either. I had a funny nsv last night. I wasn't paying attention and reached for my SF pudding on the coffee table and of course, knocked it over onto the carpet. Boy was I annoyed. I started to clean the carpet while bending over, which is a killer on the back. Suddenly I realized hey, I could get down on the floor and get up again. so I did. Imagine someone smiling while cleaning a stain on the carpet. Well that was me last night. LOL! -

I know there's been a zillion threads on this, but what's one more right? I am seeing A LOT of people so hung up on the scale that they're missing the Non Scale Victories (yes that's what NSV means). So, please list your NSVs here! It doesn't matter how big or how small, we want to hear it! Mine are (in no particular order): The ability to sit in any chair I want without worrying if I'll fit or break it The ability to sit in booths at restaurants Flying without needing a seat belt extender No longer wearing plus sized clothes Trying on a size 'large' shirt and finding it's too big- and buying a size 'medium' Walking by mirrors while shopping and thinking "wow I look cute" instead of "ugh gross" Being very active in my kids' lives Going from needing a cane to get around the house to walking 2 miles a day unaided No longer having high blood pressure or high blood sugar. No longer having a sleep apnea (or even snoring anymore) Not being recognized by people who haven't seen me since getting my band (literally) Being able to wear cute, stylish clothes (I've become a shopping addict!) Sitting with my legs crossed Being told I look more like my almost 19yr old daughter's sister rather than her mother- 440 replies

My most favorite NSV so far! I thought I'd never have to be a bridesmaid again, but after a whirlwind romance, my little sister wants a big wedding. So off to look at dreaded bridesmaid dresses we went. It was so liberating to not be the fat girl worried about them having a dress in my size or what it would look like. I was prepared to wear whatever she picked. And....I ended up looking really good on the dress she picked! The picture doesn't even do it justice. I'm the one in the pink dress. The actually dress is going to be blue. -

NSV looking at pictures taken at thanksgiving 2013 and can't believe that's me I look so not huge !!! I keep staring at the pic looking for the rest of me it's crazy. I didn't notice "all" that I was once and yet I notice it gone. Another huge bag of clothes to give away heading Into 12/14 shirts and 16 pants although my pant size is all over I guess depending on cut I Currently wearing 16-20's in pants I don't get it he range but of they fit nice I don't care about the size. Enjoying the compliments yet the baffle me at times. Emotions all over but eye in the prize a skinnier healthier me -
