I'm right with you, there are many days that I eat because I have to eat, not because I want anything, and nothing really sounds appealing, not the way it used to. I dunno if this is an NSV or not....

I think it should qualify as a NSV! Ha ha! : )

Thank you!! Thank you!! Vinesqueen, you asked for my NSV's. Here they are: 1) I weigh less then my husband which has NEVER happened since we were first married. 2) The person in the mirror now matches up with the person inside. 3) I weigh less then my driver's liscense says I do. 4) I get lots of looks from guys & I've NEVER had that. 5) I am wearing a bathing suit in public! 6) My kids are bragging about me to their friends instead of being emberassed. 7) I run into people who knew me a long time ago & they have no clue who I am!! 8) I looking younger then my younger sisters. 9) I can wear my seat belt in the car comfortably! 10) I don't mind taking pictures anymore. THE BAND WORKS!!!!! :biggrin1: :scared: :biggrin1: :scared: :biggrin1:

Oh, here's a really cool NSV in the midst of all this though....gotta find the bright side.:clap2: I got a pair of True Religion Jeans today in a size................4!!! Ok, and they actually fit good! I think it's just this brand 'cuz I am either a 6 or 8 in other brands.:rolleyes I did come home and try on a pair of levis I got about two weeks ago. Luckily I didn't take the tags off 'cuz I have to return them they were waaaayyy too loose. It's weird but last time I lost weight it took another good 10lbs before I was in this size but maybe I have more muscle this time. The other good news is I don't think I am going to need a tummy tuck. While I have a bit of loose skin it isn't sagging or anything so not enough to worry about. -

TIPS to get back on track!
sillykitty replied to Orchids&Dragons's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I do two of the things mentioned above @GreenTealael mentioned, I try to stave off hunger by drinking fluids. Similar to @FluffyChix mentioned, I focus on my commitment to weight loss, and making one good choice at a time (choosing jerky over a brownie for instance) I also focus on my NSV, and how great those make me feel, crossing my legs without even thinking about it, wearing size 10 jeans, wearing size M shirts, easily fitting in an airplane seat, feeling sexy af, lol. This is vain, but I also think about the compliments I have received. It's one thing to think I look great, but it is affirming to hear others say it. -
I'm loving the new tool. I do have a few concerns, I'm not eating much, I'm struggling to get my protein in, and working hard on drinking enough water - its tough! I just cannot eat more without getting sick! This morning, I made an 8 oz protein shake, could only drink 1/2 - I was about to vomit even thinking about drinking more - protein taken in about 10! My menu yesterday - Bfast 1 fried egg with cheese - ate about 3/4 lunch 1/2 cup of cottage cheese dinner 1/2 cup of refried beans (these seem to work best for me) Exercise needs to pick up for me. I've been slacking on my walking. My goals for the rest of the week 1) Focus on getting my water in 2) Increase my walking - make it a priority 3) Work on my protein! PS - another NSV - good-bye to my size 18's forever, they are just too big now, and hello to my comfortable 16's! I am wearing a pair of 16 jeans today that look darn good on me, I feel very slim & sexy in them. I haven't worn them in a while - probably 2 years? DH also can't keep his hands off me either, he keeps telling me how good I look. I love the new me! My kids keep telling us "get a room" LOL.

So, whenever I would get out of the shower, I would wrap the bath towel around me backwards, leave the back open because it didnt fit, of course....unless it was a beach towel. Well, yesterday I decided I would try to wrap and tuck the towel, see how far I was from being able to wear a bath towel out of the shower...IT WRAPPED, and IT TUCKED..and it was CLOSED!! NOT A BEACH TOWEL, A REAL BATH TOWEL! LOL! I felt normal for once! I am also excited to announce that I bought a few dresses from Old Navy and of course I go STRAIGHT to XL. Well, they are WAY too big! L is even a little too big. I bought 3 in L and 1 in Med, the Med FITS!! I would like to lose 10 more before I wear the med...just to feel a little more comfortable. I have had to purge my closet AGAIN, I am running out of clothes! But it is great going shopping! I almost got emotional in Old Navy. My head still hasnt wrapped around the weight loss. That is my only hold back. I don't always see the 70 lbs gone.

That is great!! My NSV is that a regular bath towel not a bath sheet will now go around me and I can tuck it in and IT STAYS!!!

There's no such thing as a silly NSV! Enjoy every one of them, no matter how little! Emily

I think at first everyday I was discovering new "non-scale victories!" It's very exciting!! Congrats on your journey!! I think one of the best unexpected "NSV" for me has been how everyone has commented on how much younger I look now. I definitely wasn't thinking necessarily of looking younger as a benefit of losing weight. :-) But I'll take it!!! -
What a fabulous NSV!! Congratulations!

I took the kids to their school today for 'Meet the teacher" since school starts up again next week. We popped in to say hi to one of the boy's teachers from last year who went on maternity leave in January so I hadn't seen her since I had surgery. Well she looked at me initially with a weird look and then realized who I was. She didn't even recognize me at first!! And I worked in her classroom two mornings a week for the first semester of school so it wasn't like she didn't know me well in the first place. It was such a good feeling, kept me on a super high all afternoon. It also didn't hurt to hear from many people how good I looked since I hadn't seen alot of them since May. I LOVE my band!!!

I just checked in my wallet and oops...my weight listed is 18 pounds under my current weight! Not as bad as 3 months ago when it was 46 under (the truth). Congrats to you and your NSV! -
I WEIGHT LESS THEN WHAT MY DRIVERS LICENSE SAYS!!! I just noticed this, I can remember it being as high as 40 lb. over, but too embarrassed to update it, Always thinking by next renewal I will loose it only to have gained a few more. I am so happy right now! What is your latest NSV? I really LOVE reading them!!!!!!
