Hi my gay brothers and sisters. Hope you all are doing well. It's very slow around here these days. Someone chime in with a story or an NSV or something. -
Oh my goodness I have collar bones, shoulder blades and 1 yes 1 chin...I will let you all come and count the chin if needed...thats how excited I am about that! :tt2: I have seen these things creeping up for sometime now but since I have not seen them since I was like maybe 10 - I was on my way up the scale at that point so I dont think that really counts - Im super excited. the next thing someone is going to tell me is that I have ribs!!! thanks for letting me share

ya'll have some GREAT NSV's.!!!!. i enjoy these as much as seeing the scale move (well close) latest NSV for me was over the wkend @ the gym. i watched my hubby walk up to a woman on the elliptical - thinking she was Me. thankfully he didn't swat her a$$ w/his towel or pinch her butt - but he swore that was me; when he looked over he didn't recognize my upper body....he had to make note that my booty was the same, just didn't realize how i small i have gotten up top...LOL means i still have work on the bottom. tiny scale victory - had an unfill last wk & was under my dr's goal...hee hee - still not where i need to be since i'm only 5'1 on good posture days:)

Knotta...that's cool! I know that I have a weird NSV. When I take a bath, I've always wanted my stomach covered with Water, but it never has. Just last week, I found out that if I suck it in, the water will cover my whole body. That was the first time ever. Weird, but I was WAY happy when it happened!

Congratulations! I'm happy for you! Keep the NSV's coming as I love to read them. -
Great NSV's Renewed!! Congrats on all your accomplishments! Here are a few of my recent NSV's: ~I bought some "normal" bra's the other day. I used to have to buy the ugly white bras that had the huge thick straps and thick sides...you know, the ones that make the girls look pointy. Well, I was actually able to buy a cute bra that actually looked normal. The same with panties. White grannies is what I used to always wear but I bought some smaller colored and patterned panties that looked "normal" as well. ~a church member told me that my waist was getting smaller and they could see a nice shape to me. That was really cool! ~I went from wearing a 5XL mens T-shirt (OMGosh:eek:) to wearing a 2XL women's shirt. I can't believe I was THAT big, lol! ~I feel sooo much better. I have more energy, more confidence....and my hubby is LOVIN the changes in me.

Christine, Great job with your NSV.! Feeling much better today... thanks for the support.

NSV for me.Down to a size 2x and had to move the car seat up 2 notches behind the steering wheel.had my 3rd fill today and is the first time since I started this process that I slimmed or I think I did.Had mushy salmon very watery had 3 bites and felt oh I'm going to p.....I didin't but my mouth filled with saliva and I felt very nausated. All I could think was yaeh restriction at last.I,m afraid to get to excited, we will see how the next few days go. My dr. say's soft food and mushies are ok on fill day and back to normal the next.Amazing how they all differ.

Dee~ You are so sweet! I was only kidding about having a place to stay. =) My husbands Aunt and Uncle live in Aurora. She just recently had half her lung removed due to cancer... so I may just do the hotel thing so I don't impose. I also had to add.... I went out with my family to ride Quads the other day. It was a BLAST. I think 60 pounds ago it would sucked. I was all over zooming and zooming! Even rode double with the hubby which would have never happened before. Oh... and another NSV... I bought a size 24 bathing suit that I was hoping I could wear by the end of summer. Well it FITS! Granted a scootch too tight, but I can wear it and I do! lol. From a tight 32 to a 26... tight 24. This rocks! -
NSV with the pants, truly a great feeling. My pile of clothes for Good Will is growing. I am buying a few new shirts when on sale.. otherwise i look like i am wearing a sack. I am exstatic.. Congrats to all who are showing both NSV and SV Last night i did a short workout at the YMCA. treadmill and recumbant bicycle... boy did I sweat... but felt absolutely great. Tomorrow I meet with the wellness coach and try to get an exercise routine set up. Gotta work on the flapping arms!!!

NSV or a trick, when we were at the Alamo, I wanted a girl's t-shirt.. and I saw they had 2x, which is good for me. My Las Vegas girl's style shirt is a 2x (from LOVE), and it fits just right.. so I get home, put on the Alamo shirt and it's like a friggin tent on me. Either 2x girls style t-shirt is too big for me now, or they just make them BIG in texas hah. And anyone know what kind of art this thing is I bought at the street festival thing? The tin roof thing.. I have been googling and googling, and no info on them. Another stall had running horses on it I wanted to get for my mom, but didn't want to be carrying 2 around.. I figured I could find them online, but no?!

Congrats on the NSV's. I wish I had some clothes that were to small in my closet but I haven't been small in years, so I guess that's why I don't have any. I've got an NSV to share. My Mom and I went shopping on Saturday normally we are both in the Plus size department, well on Saturday we went to a different Kohls and Macy's than we normally shop in and both times we entered through the Junior Department by accident, so my Mom started saying "you should look at all those nice sundresses over there" which I did and found quite a few items that fit but when I looked around for my Mom's approval on my selection she was gone-she was over in the plus size department. For the first time in about 8 years we actually had to shop in different departments. She was as happy for me as I was for myself. This truly marked a change in my life.

Laura- Thank you. Yes, it has been very tough to watch him suffer...but hopefully now he will get the help he needs and the treatment he deserves. We had another appt at the VA today... we put the request in to change Doctors and spoke with the social worker a little more in detail about the program he will be entering. He "interviews" for the program on Friday... they said they normally have beds available within a week...but we are leaving for St. Louis on 6/6 to visit his family...and returning the following weekend.. so he will most likely start the program once we return. It will be a long and rough 6-8 weeks...but hopefully he will be returned to me as a normal..and healthy 27 year old man. I'm still having a hard time eating at times... yesterday it was almost impossible to eat... PB'ing on a few quick gulps of OJ... I'm just taking it very slow. ... a little late reporting a NSV... our 13 year old daughter called me skinny! Thats saying something coming from a teenager!!! I was thrilled!

What are you drinking? Liquid stage suggestions...

That is fantastic news. Just that in itself is adding years to your life! The weight will come off, but you are going to find that the NSV's (non scale victories) are sometimes more important than the stupid number on the scale! -
Congrats on the NSV!!!

Great NSV. Congrats!

Hey Lizrbit - You are doing so great!!! all I can say is WOW!! Melissa - I am so sorry to hear about the tuff time your DH is having. It is so hard when the ones we love are struggling. You are in my toughts and prayers. I have not seen Sandra around here lately... HEY Sandra if you are lurking let us know how you and that baby are doing. We miss you!!! As I shared earlier I have been having reflux and heartburn problems lately. I went to the Doc last Friday, and he unfilled me, only left in 1/2 cc. All of the problems went away. He wants me to stay this way for about a month and let things calm down and then slowly refill me. Went on a motorcyle ride this weekend to Ashville,NC with a group of our friends, I did pretty good. Tried to eat alot of fruit and salads and drink lots of water. Have not been able to eat salads for a long time, so I enjoyed it. I still have some restriction, so I am trying to make good choices. It has just been wonderful to get a good nights rest and not wake up with acid in my mouth. Being overfilled is just not good! OH, NSV..... I needed a jacket to wear on the bike, and we stopped at this shop, I picked out this one I liked, got a size large to try on...... my DH looked at me and said "Honey, when are you going to see that you are no longer a large?", he then handed me a small..... yes I said size SMALL..... and it fit me perfect. My DH then looke at me and said "SEE, I told you so!" I never dreamed I would wear a size small. Of course I had to buy the jacket....... Oh, on a diffrent note, I have a grandbaby due this week. I am so very excited. It is a boy. He is due May 28th (my moms birthday)..... so we are on baby watch. She goes to the Doc today for a checkup, so we will know more of when to expect Ian Kenneth will be showing up. Hope eveyone had a great Memorial Day Holiday. Take it one day at a time, Laura

Looks like I need to be baaaad (*make that sound like a sheep*). I think I can stretch to be naughty just to break this plateau. I was having my own pity party last night thinking that I am probably in a spot where I have been many times before. In the past when I have been on diets I have always lost around the same weight or got to a certain time after starting, only to let the bad habits creep back in again. I have eaten small portions of chocolate occasionally, not enough to have not lost and not gained weight though! I think without knowingly have done it, I have become bored with it all.. But now I don't know the funk I am in! I am having difficulty moving beyond the head hunger stage now. However, food no longer rules my life and that's my most important NSV so far. Today I had porridge and a banana for breaky, 100g tin tuna and a cucumber with 200g yoghurt and probably some spag bol for dinner before I go to netball. I think this is still too much, as I am still hungry with a small amount of resriction. What do you think?

That episode was great Becca. You have done remarkably well in such a small amount of time - I am so jealous of you. You look fantastic. I think it is important to reflect on our NSV's as a motivator. I can think of a few so I think I may start writing them down. They do 'lift me up' when I am blue so maybe I will put them on the fridge! I don't go in there too often for myself anymore... You have lifted my spirits today. Thanks
-
Congratulations!!! I am also starting to really notice NSV's now that I'm 4 months up. I can't wait for our next ones to keep on coming :0)

Hi all well guess what i knew i lost weight cause the scale says so but i haven't really noticed. But i had to get a new swimming suit. My old one that by the way last summer was almost to small now is way to big I can't even pretend to keep my breast were they are suppose to be at in there. So i thaught that was cool. I didn't think i had lost enough weight that my bathingsuit wouldn't fit so it was a nice surprise luckly my mom had a smaller one that fit.

funny, my curse is to be big wasted and small butted. i've gone down a size, too, but i've had to get rid of several pairs that fit me in the waste but are super baggy in the legs. congrats on your NSV!

Phowell, I am with you on the clothes shopping! I have NO IDEA what I am doing anymore. I didn't even know JR sizes went to 17. I have settled on a 16. The 18's are too big and the 16 is a little snug at the waist but doable. The 18's fall off. Literally. My NSV's lately. 1. My pants are falling off. 2. I started running and no one is even chasing me. I could not have done that 32lbs ago. 3. My husband, who always told me I was hot still thinks so. The funny thing is I am starting to believe it. 4.I am sensing the fact that I am no longer anonymous to men outside of my husband even when the kids are with me. Scary. :-)

So, today I was looking for a pair of jeans only to realize that they were all in the wash. So, I dug in my closet and pulled out all my 'next size down' jeans to find a pair I can squeeze myself into just for a short bit while I went and got my weekly coffee treat (its FF/SF so no worries). First pair I pulled on .. well I'll be damned they fit ... to big in the waist but that is my curse being small waisted big butted ( that word makes me giggle). So, I tried on another pair, same... then the other two .. same!!!!!!! YAY!! Not even 20lbs down and already I have slinked down to another size!! *dances around insanely*:w00t::ohmy::thumbup:
