I do eggs, cottage cheese with sugar free fruit preserves. Greek yogurt, bariatric pal cereal or oatmeal, low sugar oatmeal mixed with a half scoop of unflavored protein powder, protein bars (if/when I decide to try them...then tend to make me dump). Sometimes I have non breakfast items for breakfast too if I really want to. Why not? I also make waffles out of protein powder and cook in a waffle iron and top with sugar free syrup.

1 week post op and I can have full liquids! Never thought I'd be this excited for 2 T. yogurt and a protein shake. -
Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with fruit, eggs ( I like mine scrambled w/ a tiny bit of cheese and salsa), Black beans with a sunny side egg & avocado, I also like steel cut oats w brown sugar & cinnamon. If I go out I get a vegetable omelet. On days when I'm not super hungry I'll have a cup of miso soup with small diced tofu.

I eat Greek yogurt pretty much every day for breakfast (usually with a few berries on it - although I'm not sure at what point I added the berries - it may have been a month or two into it). Cottage cheese would be a great choice, too. I eat it for lunch sometimes - it's loaded with Protein.

Well, I eat chicken breast for breakfast most days, but that is probably not appealing to you I would suggest: Greek yogurt with some PB2 or peanut butter stirred in, cottage cheese with salsa, salad dressing, or peanut butter, any kind of eggs (my favorite!). A small amount of refried beans with cheese is a little higher carb but filling and has good protein, too. I also like veggie burgers (the kind from Morningstar Farms and similar).

I'm only 10 days out , and am allowed mushy foods now. I can eat a whole egg or 4 oz yogurt without discomfort.

Because, I haven't had time to post what I eat. I eat: String cheese Dannon light and fit yogurt (2 a day probably) P3 (for breakfast) lunch is usually a small chili or bacon chicken ranch salad from Wendy's with light ranch. Or a Subway Turkey chop salad with fat free ranch. banana berries mandarin oranges hummus apples with cashew butter or almond butter I don't do well with meat. I started putting it in Myfitness pal today as per the request of the NP.

Homemade protein frozen yogurt
songsmith replied to cindyw41's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you want it creamy, you'll want to use a mixer. I think the mouth feel will be more like the real deal. You'll also want to add sweetener in order to minimize the formation of ice crystals when you freeze it. Well, not sure how that works with sugar free. Sugar crystals do that job, but I'm not sure if it's the crystal or the added ingredient. This person gives some great tips on making frozen yogurt. -
Homemade protein frozen yogurt
Sophie74656 replied to cindyw41's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think that would be great. I've put yogurt into my ice cream maker before and it came out great. I did just a vanilla greek yogurt and some chopped up strawberries. It was great -
Homemade protein frozen yogurt
BelleCurves replied to cindyw41's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You probably don't need an ice cream mixer for that recipe. With that recipe you probably just blend/process the yogurt with the protein powder and freeze. I'm sure it will taste great! -
I asked for an ice cream maker for Christmas. I found a recipe for frozen yogurt.. 6 oz yogurt 1-2 scoops of Protein drink mix Has anyone ever made it?

I just hit (and am now below) goal, but For a couple months now I have had a couple tablespoons of granola on my Greek yogurt almost every day. I buy either "Bear Naked" or "Kind" brand granolas that have higher Protein and lower carbs/sugar than most and are not as processed. Now, I usually have my yogurt for an evening snack, so if I had something earlier in the day that put me higher in calories and/or carbs than I would like, I cut back or leave off the granola. For me, regular Cereal with milk is a huge trigger, so I am not planning on having that anytime soon, if ever. But I do fine with the granola.

I add grapefruits to my Greek yogurt for crunch. I also eat shredded wheat dry. I snack on it occasionally (handful). wheat thins - that's a favorite and I stay away from them.

So much harder than I thought...
MsMe replied to tera1982's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Tera1982 I didn't know we could have cottage cheese at this time. Maybe I misunderstood but I thought it was supposed to be liquids only for 2 weeks. Could the cottage cheese be doing it? If not I would love to eat some cottage cheese @ this time I'm on the liquids only. Protein shakes, jello, yogurt (no chunks of fruit), broth, isopure & strained cream of chicken soup. That has been it for me. Hope you get better soon. -
How much protein did you eat before WLS?
Cape Crooner posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Last night I looked at my loseit app and saw I was at 55 grams of Protein for the day. I quickly downed a Protein shake and some Greek yogurt. Afterwards, I was thinking about pre opt. Being a guy who ate salads all week, I'm sure I went several days without getting 72 grams. How come I need to worry about it now? -
Appetite suppressants (prescribed) 2 years out...
CowgirlJane replied to McButterpants's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
So far acid has not been a problem for me but I know from my lapband days how much that discomfort can contribute to bad choices. I would have an afternoon ice cream or frozen yogurt to soothe myself..... there are better ways to address it so really glad to hear your surgeon is investigating that. In the meantime, are you on a PPI? -
There is something about Greek yogurt that is so beneficial...

If it weren't for dairy products I would likely starve (or at least I would have in the first few months postop). I eat 1-2 cheese strings daily, Greek yogurt every morning for breakfast, and my daily protein contains milk. 6 months out and hit my goal weight this morning! 103 lbs lost, so I'm going to keep eating dairy here!!

Weight wise I'm at 151 and don't seem to stop losing weight. I was happy with 160. I do try to eat more but I am so busy with all the holiday stuff, I noticed lately I eat even faster. We are talking 5 minutes. In desperation I have tried to eat while I drive because i am sitting there I figure it will naturally slow me down. But my car is going to get (is already) messy. Try eating yogurt and drive. Not easy. My new thing is nuts because I can chew them slowly while I drive. Now my floor looks like a squirrel has a storage facility between my seat and the center console. Some do fall, lol. Lots of peps that have not seen in a while comment on my amazing transformation. That does feel good. I still love my surgery but need to manage my eating a little better.

I am 3 1/2 weeks post op. I have never been one to nap and usually have good energy. However, for the last week and a half (since I went on pureed foods) I am struggling. Yesterday I slept so much I missed a meal and some liquids. I am bone tired. I am out of work until the beginning of January so I have time on my hands. This morning I slept until 1030. Usually I'm up by 730. I am taking all my Vitamins. I admit Protein has been a bit of a struggle so I have gone back to one Protein shake a day with added greek yogurt to up the protein grams. I am pretty close to 60 grams a day as recommended. I have been Water jogging with weights every day except today when I went in to lie down for about a half and hour and wound up sleeping 3 and a half hours. This is so not me. Anyone else experience this?

Yes cereal for me is not a trigger food. I think I am just missing the sweet crunch. I may just add some granola to my greek yogurt for now and eventually if I want a serving with some Fairlife milkor something I will have it. I was thinking more in the long run anyway. Right now I'm only 4 weeks out and still on softs. Was more of a just wondering kind of question but thank you everyone! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
