NSV -- Just wanted to share

That's a great NSV - actually, it is 2 NSV's. The fact that you aren't dreading the photo's is an NSV as well (it would be for me, that's for sure!). I had to giggle when you mentioned the matching shoes...for a second I thought you meant you were wearing two shoes that were the same! I once wore a navy shoe on one foot, with a black one on the other - it wasn't until someone commented in the afternoon that I noticed.

    April Avengers - NSV!

Okay, total NSV today!! My kids were out of school so we went to the park. I tried the swing and I fit!!! It's been years since I could swing comfortably! Whoo hooo!!

    Minor NSV!!!!

I no longer have boob do (stomach sticking out more than the boobs do)! I had been so discouraged about the scale that I had not noticed that there were still changes. I know that is minor, but it has been a long time since I looked down and saw something other than boobs and belly. Where else could I come and be happy to announce something so embarrassing?!?!

Morning ladies! Phyl, if you go haunt the recipe thread and leave us here, we'll just come hunt you down over there. You are NOT allowed to disappear. We miss you too much. We love you too much. Your losses right now are making us all so excited and we get to cheer for you! Your having so many great NSVs that we get to celebrate you. Don't be taking that away from us. Kari, you are going to have such a great time at the reunion. You should strut your stuff! As far as feeling old and haggard....it's always hard to tell about yourself. Remember the stress I was going through a month ago about how much more to lose. Posting pics here and letting the ladies see and give me their opinion really did help. Maybe it would help you too. Just a suggestion. You'll probably get some great pics at the reunion this weekend so worry about it when you get home. This weekend just enjoy being beautiful. Janet, I love the costume idea. I wonder if it wouldn't go over a lot of people's heads. Maybe an AIG id badge or something? I just don't know. But the idea is amazing. Ummmm...there are other things I want to say but I'd better go wash the kidlets hair...they are in the tub. I'll talk to you ladies later. Hugs. Have a great day.

    Notorious November NSV!

I was looking through my closet tonight, looking for old clothes that I knew didn't fit me so I could make them "goal" clothes in the months to come. Well, I found a shirt I was SURE would not fit.... size 16, and you know, it didn't really fit like it is supposed to.. BUT I could button one button... and when I looked in the mirror it made my boobs look FABULOUS! haha I just shimmied a little for myself and put it back in my closet..... saving it for a much BETTER nsv in a few months... when I can actually wear it outside of my room and don't look like a hoochie!

What are some of your NSV

Having to move the car seat closer to the steering wheel was a big NSV for me! Also a big thrill for me was being able to fit into a pair of victorias secret "pink" brand panties.

Welcome swood! You have found a great group of people for support and the right place to unload :wink2:. In response to your question, I hand delivered all my clearances except my cardio. BIG MISTAKE! I should have delivered that one as well. It took almost 2 months for them to get it to Charlene. IMHO I would make a trip to each doc and insist on taking it yourself. You will know for sure that each clearance is in Charlenes hands and it will relieve the stress you are feeling right now. Best of luck to you. Hi everyone!! Niki and Kathy~ WOOT!! WTG!!! I love those NSV moments. Smaller sizes are just the added bonus to feeling better and being healthier. Everyone have a blessed day~
  9. Okay my weight loss has been on the slow side lately. So figured I'd go shopping. Low and behold I tried on some jeans and went back and got a smaller size. A size 14 and they weren't even tight in the butt or legs.(The waist was snug)BUT A 14 YEAH!!! I ususally shop in the womens size and was able to get into misses size. That was such a big high for me. The last 20 years has always been in the big womens dept. What a change. This was a BIG non scale victory for me.:cursing::wink2:

NSV -- Just wanted to share

That's so awesome to know people are talking about you in a good way. Congrats on the NSV. You're doing great!
  11. Hi everyone -- I just wanted to share an NSV ... I'm not sure why this one made me feel so good, but it did. Maybe because I had a slight unfill today and am concerned about gaining weight. Anyone, I'm thisclose to being two-thirds of the way to my goal (about a 1/2 pound away) and have lost about 5 sizes of clothing. As a consultant, I spend lots of time with clients, and one client in particular that I have been working with for almost 2 years, so they've seen me yo-yo a bit. Today, I was talking to one of the secretaries and before I hung up she said "Hey, I heard you lost a ton of weight and look great. I have not seen you in a while, but that is the rumor here." Again, not sure why this one was so nice to hear, but it was fun to be part of the rumor mill for my clients. As a side note, I tore ligaments in my ankle in May and spent the summer in a boot. As September came around, I finally bought so clothes that actually fit and started wearing two matching shoes. A ton of people have commented how much better I look with 2 matching shoes, I think the real difference is the 79 pounds, but I'll take the matching shoes too! Saturday is my younger sister's wedding and I am actually not dreading the photos, not really looking forward to it, but not dreading it. Both of my sisters have the opposite issue than me (aneroxia) so I will still look huge, but not as huge as before. Thanks for reading this super long post. Cynthia

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

TESS - WTG congratulations Special K - I am seeing a big change in watches, rings and bracelets, even necklaces. They all are loose and I feel I may drop them off my hand/wrist. Mamogram - I had mine a few weeks ago. It was odd not to have to worry about "getting enough breast on the plate" I did thinbk it may be less painfi=ul, but alas, it still hurt like H$LL.. NSV - smaller clothes...sixe medium pants, and large shirt. A slimmer mammogram! What a great NSV....how funny that she could tell!! Congrats on all of your milestones, Tess!
  16. My pants are looser, my band is looser but I still have not seen any movement on the darn scale! Another NSV, when I thru my daughters birthday EVERYONE commented on how "skinny" I am now...How can that be and I still am not losing? Hm...

Niki - that's a great jeans victory! Congratulations. I got a couple pairs of 26 and zipped all the way up and I was happy on that. Wasn't used to the muffin top of wearing jeans again though. Guess I'll keep trying them on until they look better and looser. My NSV today is buttoning a 24 blazer all the way down the front, all three buttons with no pulling/puckering! Hoping to knock on the 22 door by Thanksgiving and maybe even 20 by Christmas/New Years! I am doing pretty good on the Labor Day to Hallow-Lean challenge - I think I'm going to meet my goal of 14 lbs lost in that time frame. I am amazed.

Hey guys! Kinda quiet around here...guess that means we are all keeping active and busy! I wanted to share that I had a NSV today. I was looking in my closet trying to find a pair of size 20 jeans to wear today, but I didn't have any. I was bummed about not having anything to wear--again! I took a pair of 17/18 jeans just to see how tight they were, and they FIT!!! I couldn't believe it! I have still been wearing the size 24 shorts that Juli gave me before Disney. I knew they were too big now, but I didn't want to spend money on anything new...I just about fell over when these jeans fit! Hope everyone is doing well! I miss ya and I am going to try to make it this weekend!

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

Way to go Natasha!!! I echo your sentiment - I can't wait to post my 199 loss - to meet my goal! Meanwhile - it's great along the way enjoying all the NSV's. I mentioned to my family the other day - I feel like I got my life back, and am so enjoying it!

    April Avengers - NSV!

Now that's one NSV I've never considered. But I have to say, I'm so happy not to have to scout out the stalls to find the BIGGEST one anymore - It feels good to fit into a normal stall (instead of the handicapped stall) and still be able to wipe! I realized recently that I didn't have to have the steering wheel at the most up-tipped position and the seat as far back as possible to fit without hitting the wheel. I love it! I can even fit in the back-seat belts now! NSV's are the sweetest things - they are so much more real that looking only at the numbers!
  21. My boss came up behind me in the breakroom today, and started tugging at the butt of my pants. He was laughing at me because they are too loose and it shows (they're my size 10s). I told him that I was going to buy more pants, but I'm trying to lose a little more weight. A while later, he came into my office and handed me a check for $500. In the memo section, it says "For new pants." Isn't that wonderful???

    I'm here to help...

Another great NSV for Lori!! well I guess it does relate to the scale, but MORE to the husband/scale! Good information for equipment purchase, Lori. I have not used other ellipticals, so I didn't realize there would be that difference. Does yours have the arm exercise option? The one at the gym does not, but I think that might be helpful, esp as one has to exercise with more intensity as weight is lost. I've seen the Nordic Track at costco - it looks darn good.

    Calling all April Bandsters!!!!

Hey mom - don't worry about the whining! I think we are all at a "stuck" point...yourself even more so with your unfill. You will get on track again! Just imagine if you didn't have the band at all - it is there to help you and right now your tool is "broken". Once it is fixed then you'll be on your way again. I gained last month too (8) pounds but it is now coming off again. You're doing awesome. Don't be so hard on yourself. ((((hugs)))) We went to the Georgia National Fair in Perry. We had so much fun, just walking around and looking at everything. It was nice to ride a couple of rides and fit again too. I don't know if ya'll saw the NSV thread - but I was able to go to the ladies room and "Hover"...I haven't hovered in years...yea running and weight loss. I used to have to drag myself up off the toilet (using the handrails in the handicapped room).

    April Avengers - NSV!

I thought I'd revive this long dormint thread. I know a lot of fellow Avengers have been struggling lately (me included)...let's not forget our NSV's...sometimes they are more important than those all important numbers we seem to focus on: My NSV for this weekend...this is kind of odd, but I could pee "hovering"...You know when you were a kid and your mom put 10,000 sheets of toilet paper so you didn't 'catch' whatever was left from people before you...as you grew you learned to 'hover' over the nasty public restrooms to avoid touching anything. Well - at the fair last night I was lazy and didn't feel like peeling the toilet paper from the roll (it wasn't cooperating). I thought, I'll hover. Damn it worked! My thighs were strong enough to hold me up. I was so proud of myself. I bet the women in the restroom waiting in line (there were about 50) were wondering why I was smiling when I left. DH even asked what I was smiling about when I came out. I told him I hovered and explained what that was. We had a good laugh together. I love NSVs!!!!!!!!
  25. Great NSV Judy!! That is so cool! That reminded me of mine...my mom came over to pick up Macy Friday and as soon as she saw me she said "your losing weight again aren't you?" WOOT! I had not even told her I was back on the wagon. Made me feel wonderful!
