NSV today - New jumper - Size 16 - a bit different from the 26/28 I was wearing in March
-
One month ago (yesterday) I was sleeved by Dr. Aceves in Mexicali, MX. I cannot tell you how AWESOME I feel right now. Here's why: I was wearing a size 22W!!!! Today I'm fitting a lot of my 16's and some are Misses. I bought a Suede leather jacket today from Goodwill. It was so nice, and it was size M. OMG... it fit, except it was a tad bit tight at the very bottom where the buttons are. It's ok, I KNOW I'll fit into it really soon. I count the moments! In the mean time I took it to my Green Cleaners who are going to do some minor repairs and restorations. It's actually in very good condition. I am able to do over two miles now in walking and on my treadmill, and I feel so much lighter already. It feels so wonderful! I'm going to start adding in more of my cardio exercises as I'm feeling good and up to it again. I'll just do minor 20-25 minute sessions to start, but I'm at it again! I'm already almost down 20 Lbs since surgery and almost 30 since my pre-op diet. I really couldn't have DREAMED of having better results. My status right now is RIGHT ON!! I'm actually able to eat soft solids pretty well now. I can get my Protein naturally, and eat my Fiber bars good. Things are running quite smoothly for me now! I'm soooo ecstatic, it seems so unreal. Thank you SLEEVE, DR. ACEVES AND HIS AWESOME STAFF, VST AND MOST ESPECIALLY THANKS TO MYSELF FOR BELIEVING IN ME. :-) Here's my best NSV so far though... Hubby's already calling me "skinny". Hahaa! Ok now I know I'm not skinny by any measure of the imagination, but it sure feeellssss good!! :-)

I think I need all the additional protein I can get. I am not really counting grams or keeping tract in anyway but I feel like its not enough. Thanks all! Hey I wont be at the next support meeting....I will be in Florida seeing my dad with my son and Hubbie.....SOOO EXCITED.....So, anyway, these drops can be added to jello, pudding, coffee...anything...Any info on this, I would greatly appreciate it...Oh and I hadda NSV today...I guess thats what its called...cute check out guy at the store was flirtin with me!! eeehhaa......He was very cute too! Okay...thanks in advance for any info.

So does anybody have get together's wouldn't it be fun to get a group of all of us together. I don't usually do support groups because there in the evening but I would love to get a group of Ohio bandsters together like maybe once every three months? If someone is interested I would totally help organize it. I am in the Dayton Area. I can get anywhere pretty quick and would love to meet and discuss what weightloss has done for us. I think it would be an encouragement to all of us! I have been banded for four months and I am down on my count from 349 to 275, on my scale. Docs are a little different but this is what I am going with... Anyways I also go to a local gym in the Dayton area if anyone needs a good workout partner! I am starting to see NSV's and I got on a pair of 22 Jeans today! Hoooraaaayyyyyy! These were my favorite jeans back in the day. I can't quite wear them out yet but they are on!!! So if anyone is interested in getting a solid lap band support group together or if there is one already I would like to sign up!!! Thanks! Good luck everyone! -
No NSV is too small! Congrats! Well done!

There is no such thing as a pathetic NSV. No such critter. Now kindly repost your NSV with PRIDE because you deserve to be proud of the hard work you have done.

This past weekend I participated in a 5k obstacle race - Warrior Dash. I had so much fun. I completed ALL of the obstacles and the course in 52 minutes! I even think I could have done it faster but I had my kids running with me and didn't want to have them running the course alone incase they got hurt. I did the Jailbreak run back in September and thought I was going to die - I didn't complete all of the obstacles back then either. Now I am so ready for my next mud run!

Thanks. I used to get the cortisone as well, and they don't last very long. I tried some of those new injections that are supposed to last for 6 months to a year. They didn't work. 5 injections over a couple of weeks and absolutely no results. So this nsv is the best. Wow, that is great. It has to feel so good to slip behind that wheel and see that space. Good for you.:clap2:

mokee those "little, nothing special things" are verrrrry special - restaurant booths were big problems being heavier great to find your new lighter self and your new small body i sat in a booth - and i just stared down at my tummy - i had all this space between me and the table/booth it was amazing mokee, keep those NSV's coming - i/you/we live for them keep up your great job great weight loss!!!! looking forward to seeing less and less of you
-
Robin - congratulations on your NSV's. Sometimes those are better than watching the scales. Simple stuff, too. Like being able to get in/out of a car without multiple pushes!

Congrats to you on your NSVs!!! That's just super! My arthritis is still just as bad in my knees...I usually get cortisone in my knees, but it wears off after about a month. I go back to work on Aug. 28th, so on the 23rd I'm getting shots so I'm ready to go. Maybe it will last a bit longer now that I'm getting a bit lighter. I know I need a new knee, but I have to get through another school year before I can think about whether or not we're scheduling it for next summer or not. You are doing great!! Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

I was looking for an NSV thread last night, too. My stomach used to buldge over the steering wheel when I drove, and now at just shy of 35 lbs down I can fit my hand in between my stomach and the wheel! That's so cool!! There was a time when DH and I were dating 20 years ago where I could fit inbetween him and the steering wheel when we'd go parking!! Those were the good 'ol days

Fantastic, thats a great NSV (non scale victory)! And Barbara, what a generous thought to give the belt to someone to spare their feelings at having to ask! Maybe write the url for this website on the back of it!

How is the year going for everyone?
lassie replied to Daron1965's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Having a good year, weight loss has slowed down-I think I need a jump start. Over all I am happy with the way things are going. My one year anniversary is coming up May 24th, I thought I would be at goal by then but that is not realistic as I have only been losing about two pounds a month ( but still losing ) Do not like the loose skin but would rather have that than the weight. I am over 65 so it is hard to tone it up. Love all the NSV's so please keep them coming it gives me inspiration. Hugs to everyone.
