I have had so many nsv moments but here are a few that I have really enjoyed: I got rid of all my size 24,22,20,18 & 16 clothes!!! The only things in my closet are 14's!!! I can paint my own damn toes!!! My gut used to get in the way now I can bring my foot all the way up woo hoo! I weigh less than my hubby! I got whistled at for the first time in over 10 years! The mirror matches my image of who I am.. it is not shocking to walk past and go "WHO THE HELL IS THAT" .. My hubby can pick me up and carry me upstairs.. gosh do i love that.. I wish he would carry me everywhere..lol.. it makes me feel so little and sexy!! :teeth_smile: Those are just some of my nsv's!

memom~ congrats on the weight loss! That's fantastic!! Kathy~ great NSV!! Feels great doesn't it. Sugar~ I have only ran once outside when it was cold (a few days ago) and it was a lot harder. Hopefully it won't be too cold on Saturday. And you WILL get there. Hang in there. I would love to have a treadmill at home. Fanny~ that's great!! Keep up the good work!! Leslie~ my son is looking forward to halloween too. He's gonna be a mail man. We are going to get some pictures of him in the mail truck. It's gonna be so cute.

Oh yeah... I had to share this amazing NSV... As you know I've just started my new job. No one there knows me from before... so who they see today is the new, smaller me. I can already tell there is no overweight predjudice happening. They don't see me as overweight at all. I'm basically normal. It was surreal. Its like I have no baggage from the old me. Really a great feeling!

I went kayaking for the first time in YEARS this past weekend. I am finally small enough, agile enough and flexible enough to get in and out of the kayak. My husband was SO HAPPY. Not only that, but we paddled for three hours. I thought for sure I was going to be sore as hell the next day and I wasn't at all. All those water aerobics classes with the webbed gloves and foam dumb bells really paid off!!! I'm ecstatic. Didn't catch one fish, but I don't even care. I had a glorious day! :biggrin:

My recent NSV has been collecting all my winter shirts in a trash bag at the bottom of my closet because they way too big for me. Last winter I was squeezing into a 3x and now 1x fits me with room to spare. I also went to try on some new pants this weekend. I picked up a size 20 for fun and a size 22 because that is 1 size smaller then I wear now. I tried on the size 20's 1st and they fit. They were snug, but I bought them anyway. I often see myself in the mirror as the same. It is hard to see the changes but the clothes do help convince me that I am smaller.

o slim your doing great :) i have a nsv my mom got me a tiffanys necklace for christmas and it was so tight it was like a choker ..i now wear it very often and can breath just fine and i can button my size 8 jeans

I fit into a Medium size pants today!! MEDIUM!! At a NORMAL shop!! Not the Fat Girl's Medium, a REAL medium!! OMG! *faints* AND I have a new man in my life, who is wonderful and hot and sexy and thoughtful and funny and smart and... and... and... *swoons* Life doesn't get any better!!

I guess as the OP I should give our little NSV thread some CPR! CLEAR!!! My latest NSV has come about because I work in NYC. I live here too but I used to drive everywhere...ANYWHO. I now take the train to work...the subway. If you've ever been on the NYC train system you know how close everything is. People sit next to me now when they never could before. When I was +300lbs I took up 2 seats and no matter how I sucked it in or held my arms nobody could fit next to me. Now I am just your everyday commuter sandwiched in like a sardine!!! The New Yorker in me hates that, but the Bandster LOVES IT!!! Oh yeah! I now wear a size 14 top and am moving to a 16 bottom!! I can shop in regular stores!!!! Skinny girls ask me where I shop. The always have but now it somehow means more. Come on twenty-somethings lets help each other not get apathetic with our weight loss! CLEAR!!!

Two NSVs (but they are related) Hubby and I went to Six Flags Over Texas on the 19th. Every ride I wanted to ride, I could! The belts fastened and the butt fit in the seat! After the Tony Hawk ride they have a booth where you can purchase a CD or DVD of your whole ride. We chose not to purchase, but I noticed that "the girls" were a bit bouncy on the screen so I knew it was time to by new bras again. I wore a 52DDD in June, and today I bought a 46DD! I was stunned standing there in the fitting room wearing a size that I haven't seen in years!

WTG both of you! I know it is amazing how some people do not say anything or appear not to notice, I think sometimes they are afraid to say anything. I know I walked into one of my schools last week and of course one of my smallest directors looked at me and said oh my gawd! you have lost a lot of weight! That made my day. Another NSV loss is when your snug clothes are become so baggy they look horrible on you. I cleaned out my closet and now it looks bare, but oh well I can deal with that if the pounds keep coming off. I am hoping for down 50lbs by Halloween. I am down 49 now so I got one to go this week. I had a great NSV last weekend. Before my surgery my BP was very high, also I could not walk to the back of the grocery store without getting out of breath. Last Saturday DH and I went to a Fall Festival with GD to see her gymnastics class perform. I had to walk so far and I was not out of breath at all. That was so exciting for me !! BP is doing much better, should be getting off of it soon. Share your stories everyone, enjoy hearing everyones NSV's.

Last weekend my family threw a big birthday party for my father's 70th birthday. I took my new beau along to meet people and everyone got on well, it was a great party. I hadn't seen many of the people there for quite a while, so for most of the night I was getting wonderful compliments and support from everyone (my family is GREAT like that!!). They were all "oh you look wonderful!", "You look fabulous!", "Well done!!", "Good on you!!", etc. That was fine and dandy, no problems, as I have told the beau about the surgery and that I was a big ol fatty this time last year. He's been really supportive and says he can see the determination in my eyes and that he totally admires someone who shows that they are willing to do what it takes to change life for the better. So far so good, eh? It all got just a little bit too much though, when my parent's next door neighbour came up to me at the end of the night, gushing over with "OMG, I didn't recognise you! What a difference!! I was looking all around the party and wondering where you were but someone had to tell me it was you!! You look SO different!!" GAH! I was squirming with embarrassment, with the beau standing next to me listening to this all. I mean, compliments are nice and all, but did she HAVE to make it quite so obvious just how huge and revolting I was before? *cringes*

Congrats on the great NSV, Katies. I bet you felt 20 yrs younger on you vacation. We spend a lot of time in FL but have never been to the Keys. Plan on putting some time at the Keys in Jan or Feb. We have a son that can fly us there and pick us up again so we don't have to do the drive from Ocala. Would love to parasail but not sure if I should. Did the sling shot a couple of years ago while in FL (shot me 360' in the air) and had trouble with verdigo after that for about 9 months.

Had a great feeling NSV today! I have had two co-workers compliment me on my weightloss today. It has been hard for them to really judge my weightloss because they see me every day and they haven't really commented that I've lost anything until today. It made me feel REALLY good to have them finally notice!! In fact when I told them the amount I've lost BOTH of them said it looked like much more than 70 something pounds!!! Yay for me! -
#1 this has to do with the bad. After you lose the weight you have to have NSV. #2 if you dont like the topic dont read it. So YES this is an experience and a journey that I want to take after losing all the weight. gosh people make me sick when they dont like something they have to stop others when they have full complete control over what they click on, listen to or read.

I had an NSV today - I got into a pair of pants I haven't worn in at least six years! They're still 24s, but still, they haven't fit since school. Also - they, along with a navy pair and a kakhi pair I have, are the smallest 24s I have ever known of. All my other 24s are loose, but these three pair range from just being comfortable to skin tight. We need truth in sizing legislation! -

Mia - that's too funny. I do the same thing to my DH. I ask him - am I as big as her - or even worse, was I as big as her. I don't have a good mental image of myself either. It's hard to wrap your head around. Linebacker - LOL. On your NSV...Good for you! We need to work on our perspectives. Be proud of how far we have come! -

Wow Leslie, I bet that felt GREAT!! I am no longer the biggest person in our social circle of friends either, even though I do not see it that way still. I have this horrible habit of asking my husband when we see overweight people if I am bigger than they are because I have no real perception of my size. I look in the mirror and see HUGE but I have no real perception of my actual size. Now that I am getting smaller I am no longer the biggest person anymore. I am still very much overweight but at one time I was the *largest* and its a nice NSV in itself to be smaller than someone, lol. Also today I was looking in the mirror and I actually noticed that my shoulders are smaller framed than before- I used to look in the mirror and see a linebacker- now I definately noticed a difference this morning. -

Oh I had a great NSV this past weekend. I was thinking about it this morning. While in Memphis we decided to ride a horse and carriage from Beale Street back to our hotel. When we went to board he looked at me and my SIL and said okay the smaller people need to get in first and sit on the outside. Me? Smaller? Now SIL is thin...but I looked around me and I was the second smallest of six other adults. Six months ago I would have been the second largest.
