    Excersise

Shantelle, the weight loss will help with the aggravating acute pain. Pain will always be apart of our lives, but I think manageable is what us degens look for. Just to be able to participate in normal functions is great. I'm happy to say that I have managed to get myself back into horse back riding. Something that I wouldn't have dared to do just this past January. These are those NSV (non scale victories) they talk about and this one just makes me feel as free as being at a healthy weight

    Driver's License

This has been one of my greatest NSV's so far. I have never told the truth on my license, and it says 350. Last time I had it renewed I weighed 393. Now I'm 126 pounds less than what driver's license says! I'm gonna tell the truth next time ha ha. Sent from my Nokia 7.2 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Friday Weigh Ins

273.2 for me That is 2 1/2 weeks now the scale has hardley moved. I have had a bit of a NSV, was a size 28 jeans,I went to Walmart and bought 2 pairs of jeans one a size 26 and the other size 24. The Size 26 fit good but a bit big in the waist, The size 24's fit and I can zip them without lying on the bed but just a bit to tight in the waist. Quess that means I am a size 25 *G*.

    Collarbone!

That is one of my favorite NSVs still to this day. Wait until you see the hollow under the collar bone too. Congrats!
  7. Can you believe we all have tini-tiny stomachs now? What a week its been. Some have had remarkable painfree success and some have been downright miserable. At this stage everyone is in totally different places as far as food/liquid/nutrition. For those on Clear liquids for awhile longer, if you didn't know, Isopure makes a clear drink thats 40g Protein. Its sold at some GNC stores. Might help get some protein in while being kind to your new stomach. I hope by the end of this week everyone is feeling fantastic! Here is the run down! I have an idea, let me know what you guys think... What I can start doing next week after we all lose the excess surgery Fluid... so everyone can see easily how much everyone has lost, is each week we can weigh in Mondays and I can put it after your name on the new Tuesday thread. It would be great to be able to see how everyone is doing at a glance - ie (lylabelle -6). It will be fun the first few weeks when we will probably all be dropping really well (except week 3 is typically a stall). You guys can message your number to me if you want so we keep our thread clean and filled with tips, tricks, recipes, annoyances and NSVs! Let me know what you think. Love this group! Whoohooo! Congrats on the NSV (Non Scale Victory)! I have had people tell me they could see a difference already also. It feels good. Well off to go walk before it starts to rain. Hope everyone is doing good today.
  11. I am going to a wedding and feeling down cause after all of my weight loss i can't find anything to fit. Went to layne bryant Everything was too big but couldn't find anything in reg stores either. Since my top and bottom are two different sizes I decided to get a skirt and dressy top. Easier said then done Last week I got a skirt size 12. So far so good This week i went through the tourture of looking for a jacket/ top to wear to the wedding. I went to Lord and Taylor and there were tons to pick from. But would they fit??? Yup they did. Thats not the NSV, well it is but not the one that i was posting about. When i finished in the dressing room The sales woman said which side did you get the clothes from so it is easier to put back and i figured large size right. I told her i didn't understand the question, cause they were 14, 16. To me that was a big size right. I told her the left side not right. She said oh thats the small side. OMG No one ever told me i was a small size. so a 12 on the bottom and 14-16 on top. I couldn't move i was in shock!! Wendy

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

@chavezmommy LOL! I do have SF pudding and popsicles, but the girls selling the Cookies with the pleading faces, and my lack of control, and remembering how goooood they tasted, first thing you know I'm saying "Of course I'll buy a box!". However, this morning my sweetie and I hit Kohls'. I've never been able to shop there, but he told me "your underwear are baggy as heck!". So while at Kohl's, just for shits and giggles, I decided to try on "real" jeans, not the elastic all around waist one's. Sweetie says "what size are we looking for?", "I have no clue" I responded! So I pick up the highest I could find which was a 24W, thinking in my head "you are setting yourself up for a let down", but believe it or not they just fit! Around the waist anyway! My legs have always been thinner than the rest of me, so even at a much smaller size (I used to wear 3x from Catherines), the legs are still baggy so I didn't buy them. I need my waist and a** to catch up to my legs before I'll be rocking some jeans! LOL Thank God for summer, because in shorts I can usually pull it off without too much bagginess. But I came out of the fitting room empty handed but with a huge smile on my face. He said "they didn't fit?". I said "they did but too baggy in the legs, but I'm getting there!" I guess that would be my first NSV! Bra's are next. I am on the last row of hooks and the shoulder adjustment all the way forward, when it used to be all the way to the back! Thanks for your encouragement! It helps during the rough patches! Keep up the good work yourself!
  19. I was sleeved on Feb. 3rd and was just wondering how everyone else was doing? How far out are you? What food stage are you in? How are you tolerating food and liquids? Any complaints? Have you been able to start exercise? Any NSV yet? How are family and friends reacting to the new you? I'm just curious and really hope everyone is doing well!

    February Sleevers.... Check in!

I was sleeved on 2-18-14 am am currently on the soft food stage and am tolerating foods well so far, but still dealing with refux issues. Only complaint is the refux, never had it before surgery, but it is getting better now that i am taking meds daily for it. Other than some light walking, have not started exercising yet, NSV's: I have been able to get into some pants I have not been able to wear in over 5 years. Everyone is being supportive and very excited for my journey. HW 393. Back in 2008 Started journey weight 371 in June 2013 Started prep diet at 354 SW 340 CW 322 I am down 49 lbs total since June, 32 since starting the preop diet, and 18 since surgery. I weigh once a week on Mondays, so maybe I'm down a little more, hopefully but just got my visitor for the first time in over a year. Uggg. So not sure how that's going to change things
  21. I am 22 days post op and today was the first day I went out and help feed our cows. We have an old farm truck and the seat doesn't move but it has always been fine for me. Well I get in and boom.. I can't see over the dash..I automatically get upset because someone obviously has messed with it. It took me awhile to realize..no one adjusted it...my behind just got smaller and I was no longer sitting on my self made pillow. My husband and I had a good chuckle over this. OH BOY...IT BEGINS

I hadn't realized that is has been so long since I wrote on my blog. I do want to keep up with my progress (it will be progress) so here goes. Sept. 28th I went for all my pre-op testing, registration and classes for my October 19th surgery. Talk about a great harvest, this is going to be the best fall in my life. Today 10/6/11 is my 4th day of my pre-op diet (I started a couple of days early, why wait) and it hasn't been as bad as I thought. I do get tummy growls but it is usually because it is time to eat something. Neat how the body will let you know what it needs. Wish I had been more in tune to it before now but we will have the tool to help get healtier in a few days. I have been getting the house ready for the new eating habits and God bless my Lovey's heart (husband) he is on the path with me. He is eating healthier even our dog Charlie is getting better low calorie dog food and walkies. We all are benefiting from this journey. I am trying to think of everything I will need during and after surgery and this web site is a God send for the information. I am excited about a lot of the NSV's that I have been having and the clothes are falling of me now. I will have to go get some smaller ones just to have something to wear during this losing phase. I feel great phsyically and trying to stay postitive mentally. I am already off my high blood pressure meds and my diabetic meds. Now if I can get rid of the high cholestral and sleep apnea machine, life will be so much simplier. Time for more chicken broth so I will "blog" more later. This is the beginning of a new life for me and I can't wait for the adventure.
