Thanks, I needed a little support. Yesterday i just felt ugh, for lack of a better word. I really do think that most of it has to do with the fact that I have to go back to work tomorrow. As for eating out, we go out a lot. My BF and I just share a meal and I never eat very much because I can't account for all of the calories. He does most of the cooking and most of the time he will fix things that work for me. It is just the last couple of days that he has done nothing but gorge himself and it is probably due to the fact that he is very very sick. He seems to be back to normal this morning. But Janet you are right, I know the struggles that I am going through because of my unhealthy eating habits and it frustrates me when other people just sit there and stuff an entire medium pizza down their throat. It will be better after I get through the first day back to school. Also, I am not craving anything specific, especially ice cream. I love ice cream but ever since surgery I can't eat it. If I do I have a lactose intolerant reaction to it. I can't drink milk either. cheese, cottage cheese, and yogurt are alright, but milk and ice cream are a NO NO for me. It is more that I just want to get to a point that I dont have to over analyze every single thing that goes in my mouth. And actually it does get easier. I was on Atkins for 2 years and I guess it did start getting easier for me. I am sure this will too. As for my body type I have 2 VERY distinct rolls with my belly button tucked neatly between them. I would really like to lose that damn top roll. All of the shirts just seem to cling to that one roll. So I can't wear my pants at my waist because otherwise my top roll sticks out like a sore thumb. So I have to find high waisted pants that will help mold the two rolls into one! Camp shirts are my favorite too, but again mine are all too big. I really don't have many clothes left that I can wear and I can't really afford to go buy new clothes right now. I need to go get a presser foot for my sewing machine and see if I can attempt to tailor my old clothes. I usually go through my clothes on Sunday's because I try to lay out my clothes for the week. I am too tired to make decisions at 4:45 am. And you are right about the thin material that just shows off everything. I really need clothes with structure. My back fat has almost gone away I have a few little bumps around my bra line, but most of my weight is front and center. My skin is starting to take a hit too. Yikes! My belly looks like my grandma's belly did when she was 95! I have read and heard that it can take up to a year for the skin to catch up, so there is hope. There is no way that I can afford to have plastic surgery nor do I really want it. As long as I can find clothes that make me look alright I will be fine. Here is a funny NSV. I told my BF to sit on my computer chair last night because I thought there was something wrong. I thought there was a lump because my butt hurt when I sat on it. He said, no there is nothing wrong with the chair, and I realized that it was that I had lost so much fat off my butt that I was sitting on my tailbone. I didn't even think I had that much fat on my butt, but I had to fold up a blanket on my chair because it was painful! Well I have to finish getting lessons ready for tomorrow so I will talk to you all later.

Well, my DH is getting to spend the evening out with his friend tonight. I'm still not feeling all that well, so I decided to stay home from our huge fireworks show tonight. It's on TV every year, so it's not like I'm going to miss much anyway. At least he gets to go. The only reason I go is because I feel bad if he doesn't have anyone else to go with, but his friend is picking him up. Yeah. Dini, Hunter hasn't started yet, probably a few more weeks. Waiting for the principal to call for a meeting first. Frustrated, love the way your DH put it, and he's right on isn't he!! Cazulay, I'll have to remember the "MOM" next time. I resorted to the worst thing first, and when it barely worked, I went for exlax. Thanks for the idea though, I really appreciate it!! So, what marathon will you be walking? Are you doing the full or 1/2? Are you training alone, or with a team? I trained with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society team when I wlaked the Columbus Marathon last year. It was great fun, but I didn't lose any weight becasue of all the carbs they tell you to eat, and the gels and such we used. Hope you have better luck than me, I'm sure it can be done and lose weight too, I just was overeating on all the wrong things at the time. Good Luck to you. Chim, when is your walk?? Coming up soon? Did you rent out your condo yet? Hope you're having a great weekend. lindaa, I don't think the water is a problem, but it may have been the culprit this time. I went and had my hair done Thurday and was there a long time, with a 1/2 bottle of water, so I didn't get my fluids in this day. Also, I was on liquids, so all I had ate was shakes, soups, and yogurts. No fiber at all. So it was probably a mix of things, but OMG, I have never felt that bad. Next time I will be more prepared, maybe get some V8 juice or something, and try the metamucil or benefiber. Thanks for the ideas!!

OK Jackie the food angel/cop is on her way NO CANDY have your DH put it somewhere that you don't see it or know where it is..... CALL THE DOC ON MONDAY !!!! Get the fill before your party... I was just telling someone on the slow loser site that I am all too familar with the little mind games that we play with ourselves... That truely is what us fat people do we play these little mind game - we try to lie to ourselves.. But see you really aren't beleiving those lies by what you said i feel like if I put off my fill just so I can eat more at this party then I am trying to 'cheat' my band IMHO I agree 100% - this is the whole reason for the band... and if you don't use it - then what's the use of getting it... For your feeding frenze before Aunt Flo - stock up on sf choc pudding - Healthy Choice Fudgecicles - Dannon Light & Fit yogurts - buy those and eat them instead of the fattening stuff - they are just as satisfiing... Really they are...... and here I go breaking the rules - but I have the 100 calorie bags of popcorn when I want chrunchy salty food - i spray with I cant beleive its not butter spray and add salt - it takes care of that saltly chrunch factor - I eat one piece at a time.... Not handfulls like in the past.... You are on your way to a healthy mindset about food - you are going to win this battle - You are realizing that your little lies to yourself for what they are "lies & mind games" And you are ready to quit playing those games... :clap2::clap2::clap2: Tough band love :kiss2: love being the operative word xoxox Janet

I just had my 3month checkup as well, and was so surprised to hear about more stuff I shouldn't be having, or should be eating sparingly. That included cheese, even low fat. I have a cheese addiction!!!! I told them that I wrap it up in my deli ham or turkey, and I haven't had any problems. My Dr. Also suggested the fruit list: berries, bananas, peaches, plums, citrus, then apples, melons, etc. in that order, and the stuff on the end of the list should be close to never because of the sugar. I still have a shake for breakfast or lunch because its convenient and it helps get all the protein in. I get about 70 grams/day. If I fall short, I eat a Greek yogurt! I don't count the calories, because I'm focused on the protein and water. -

Grilled tilapia (Gorton's) and about a tablespoon of sautéed spinach. The fish is sitting in my pouch like a rock--same as chicken. I might have to stick with eggs and refried beans and yogurt for a while yet! -

Yep I am so glad it is on mine too because I can't stand protein shakes. I am trying to get my protein from food. It is really hard to get to 60-65 grams but I am trying. Greek yogurt at 15 grams is my bff except I can't quite finish them. -

Just meal prepped for my week at work! Hard boiled eggs, cucumber and onions in vinegar, chopped sweet peppers and pita chips with hummus, baked chicken breast, and a medium steak! Pairing these things with salad or fruit plus some Greek yogurt each day and I should be well on my way to my protein goals. -

Just as an FYI- 1000 calories is great. 1200 is even better. If you want your metabolism to keep working, u can't make your calories too low. Now, I say this after just having an 80 calorie yogurt and a few tablespoons of hummus the whole day, but one day I will be able to eat. Also, my favorite "wings" are just the chicken drummettes from the grocery store with garlic salt and onion powder and baked in the oven. I would advise avoiding fast food as much as possible and learning to prepare whole foods because the chemicals and preservatives can all kinds of health problems. -

No, I didn't manage both. However, that's only 1/4 cup of tuna, 1 Tb light mayo, 1 tsp Greek yogurt and onions on top of two small tomato slices, topped with a total of 1 Tb of reduced fat cheese. The lettuce leaves were about 4-5 inches in diameter. All total it was about 1/2 cup of food. I ate 1 and 1/2. It's 166 calories, totally yummy and satisfying. -

Have you tried the yoplait greek yogurt 100 calorie? I love the lemon and the lime. Lime tastes like key lime pie. The lemon is tart which I love. I eat 2 yogurts daily even now. Helps a lot with getting my protein counts up. I only eat the yoplait once a day tho.
