19 days post op. Since May 20, I have lost 33.8 pounds. I can already start my abdomen is less bloated, although I haven't quite yet dropped a pants size yet. My clothes are looser, but when I go down a size they are still too snug. But... this morning I put on the flip flop style sandals that I have been wearing for about 6 months regularly and they are TOO BIG! They are totally too loose and I could easily go down at least half a size in them. I am so glad this happened today, because I was getting ready to buy a new pair of walking shoes. When I am heavy I wear an 8.5, but when I am skinny I wear 7.5-8 (that is where I was 8 years ago). I will probably have to go with an 8 today since I am not down to my 7.5 size yet. Anyhow, it is those little victories that get us through this, right?

I never in a million year thought I will ever be able to fit in my husbands shirts. And I did yesterday, he hanged one of his gym shirts in my closed by mistake, i told my daughter "see your daddy gave me one of his t-shirts I am going to put it on" honestly I thought I Was not going to be able to pass it by my arms but it when thru my neck and it came down not only easily but in top of the t-shirt I had on...what a great feeling I called him at work and I told him...he couldn't believe me. I was 3x he is M/L it depends in the t-shirt, now i am border line XL/L. Yes ...a lot of work but worth it. Sorry for the NVS.. I Meant NSV...couldn't fix it after I posted ????????!

Hi all: You'll find this sorta cute I think. So.....I saw my sports medicine/pain management doctor today. First time I've seen him since about two weeks prior to the hip replacements so....about 9 weeks ago. I was in the waiting room and he called me into his office so I got up and started walking towards him. He then started walking to me and right in the middle of the waiting room, bent down and whispered in my ear....'I can't say this out loud with a room full of patients, but you look f***ing fantastic'. I've never had a doctor use that particular word before but he and I are about the same age, and I've been seeing him for a year and a half so I know he only meant well and was giving me a huge compliment. I must admit, it's kinda nice to have an honest reaction from him rather than a 'medical assessment' so to speak. It was unexpected but it really felt good to hear it.

Guess what sleevers. I tucked my shirt today. Wow I can not remember the last time I was able to tuck. And by the way it doesn't look bad either LOL.

Great NSV Ryan! But definitely get some pants that fit and show it off!

Guys this band works. Even when you're too busy to work it. I started out wearing size 54 pants, and they were getting tight. Today I put on a pair of 48's and had to keep hitching 'em up all day. Yippee.

I had a NSV yesterday. I had set aside 5 pair of pants for "when I get down to that size again" and I've been working hard and have lost 25 pounds since October, so I thought I'd try them on. They fit! Now they go back on hangers into the closet rotation! Yay!

Great NSV, Zoe. Enjoy!! I know exactly what you mean about the proportions changing. Before I had kids I could never understand why anyone would need elastic-waist anything. I mean, just buy them in the right size, right? But now that my waistline has lived through carrying two babies, those elastic waistbands can come in handy.
