    Late June Sleeve Buddies?

    For those of you that are having trouble with Protein shakes. I too find them making me feel ill post surgery. I have been using GENEPRO by Musclegen Research for over a week now and it has been great. I put it in almost everything. One tablespoon is 30 grams. So it is easy to get between 60 and 90 grams in a day. I've put it in cottage cheese, yogurt, Soup, mashed potatoes, almost everything! No taste whatsoever!! Seriously it's been great.   2. I am so hungry and over this liquid!!! I am day I can't even remember -- ok day 11 post op. I think I get to start some extra items like yogurt and creamy Soup after nut on Tuesday. Dreaming of burgers. But also better fitting clothes... Sigh.

    @@chycky Sounds like you're doing great! I laughed at the water/chicken/pee/yogurt/water/chicken thing...sometimes I feel like my entire diet is chicken, cheese, apples, coffee and sugar-free popsicles! Actually, that's what I ate today, along with one asparagus spears and 2 slices of boiled egg And I cleaned my closet out 2 weeks ago and got rid of virtually everything I owned. I took it all to our local thrift shop and donated it, minus some of the 'good' pieces that I gave to a friend who is planning to have WLS I was in a 16/1x when I had surgery and had been for a few years so I didn't have any 'skinny' clothes. I'm now proudly in 12/M and am rebuilding a wardrobe with end-of-season sales, etc. I've bought a couple of things in sizes 10 and 8, which BLOWS my mind, but if I lose another 50 lbs, I'll go down at least one more size, right? I wore a size 8 wedding dress and got pregnant 6 months later and have never gotten smaller than a 12 again. I'm with you in not holding on to anything big...I'm not going to make it comfortable to gain weight again.

    Protein Troubles

    Princess- I hated the plain yogurt too, but I can have the Greek flavored ones as long as there are no lumps. The Dannon lite & fit toasted coconut vanilla and key lime are really good.
  5. I had training today (and tomorrow) off-site. This facility has awesome catering. I was able to eat morning tea and lunch and only ate a snack I has brought for lunch. Here is what I had and I didn't feel sick at all. Breakfast at home: 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 small banana Morning tea: a tangerine and about 1/3 of a sausage roll Lunch: a prawn, a few bites of baked chicken (pretty moist and I took tiny bites), a crouton, a bit of boiled egg, half a thin slice of salami, a couple noodles from a noodle salad, small piece of tomato, small piece of capsicum. And one bite of strawberry cake. I logged all this and it was about 130 calories. Afternoon snack: 2 cheese sticks (instead of a timtam) I will probably just have the last of my purée chicken with some gravy for dinner. I will end up just over 800 calories. I listed this to show people what they might be able to look forward to. I know some people don't tolerate this stuff. One thing is that I have been able to tolerate Water but now that I'm on solids water tastes bitter.

    Thanks but found out yesterday the dr does not want me to eat pudding or yogurt yet. I was like really. I had been eating it. Guess that sums up that lil stitch pain I feel off and on that's nagging me. Yesterday was challenging I felt hungry a lot. Everyday I learn something new with this. I did try to sleep in my bed 2 nights but lastnight it just wasn't working out. Back to the recliner I went lol.

    Today B-coffee, 5.3 oz greek vanilla yogurt w/ diced peaches S-dry roasted peanuts w/corn candy (much too much) L-10 small popcorn chicken, 3 T spanish rice and 3 T coleslaw D-1/2 baked pork chop, 3 bites of chicken thigh, 2 T spinach 2 bites of cornbread

    Oh, okay. Now I get it. I'll just stick to making mine at home, that way I have nothing to compare it to, lol. B'fast~ coffee Lunch~ 5.3 oz greek yogurt, 1 tbsp raw honey, 10 almonds Snack~ 100 cal popcorn, some tootsie rolls :biggrin: Dinner~ Arby's: 4 popcorn chicken, 4 curly fries

My nutritional plan has completely changed..here it goes: Meal #1: 1/2 cup of pineapple, 1/2 cup of 1% cottage cheese Meal #2: Protein shake..isopure (50 grams of protein!)..plain yogurt mixed in with some rasberries Meal #3: Salad: 4 oz (if im lucky) Grilled chicken, flaxseed oil, spinach, almonds, carrots, kidney beans, and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese on top for dressing (I usually split this for meal #4 and just add more chicken) Meal #4: See above Meal #5: Sauteed chicken (4 oz), in olive oil, green peppers and onions, garlic, made up for a chicken fajita...without the fajita..also add flaxseed oil when cooking Meal #6: Plain yogurt with some added strawberries and pure vanilla extract Of course all bets are off if my food gets stuck and takes hours to get through..but I do the best I can.

  15. Bf- (can't swallow chunky foods, I stick to creamies in the morn) dannon light & fit greek yogurt, blueberry Snack-handful of peanuts Lunch- 4oz scrambled sausage, egg & cheese Dinner- 4oz veggie & beef soup Snack- emeralds breakfast berry nut blend pack(delicious) I'm addicted!

  18. i was just starved yesterday - not sure if it's TOM/PMS/long cardio session. first time in a while i'm feeling the need to control myself - reason i'm tracking again:huh2: yesterday - b- slice WW toast w/peanut butter & half banana s- 3oz pom/blueberry yogurt l- 6 chicken pot stickers s- handful of nuts d - 3oz ribeye & half loaded bake potato
  19. mslittle - you're very sweet, I have always loved to cook - part of my initial eating problem but now its fun for me to create band friendly delicious bites. tonight it will be back to work (24 hr+ night) so an extra meal day in addition tomorrow should be interesting b/c I will probably only get about 3-3.5 hr sleep (usually happens once a month or so ) I have 3 meetings during the day and work tomorrow night :confused: hard to work nights in a day world ) so I usually have an extra snack (something crunchy and with Protein to give me energy) Plan for the Day: B: chocolate cheesecake Protein shake L: Couple cheese tortellini tossed in a creamy marinara and peas S: probably all bran crackers w/ lite laughing cow cheese D1: Roasted red pepper Soup w/ couple bites chicken sausage and grated parmessan D2: Plain nonfat greek yogurt w/ berries and 1 ozprotein Cereal S: not sure - something will come to me when I'm packing it up
  20. i was at the grocery store and saw the hummus think i want to try it whats a good one and what do you eat it with. well i had to go back and get half a unfill i feel much better and hungry some but, i have to work on the self disipline part alot more. gonna just take it one day at a time. 4oz s/f,f/f pudding w/mashed kiwi 4oz vanilla yogurt med. coffee w/milk, splenda 4oz mashed chix salad 16oz lemon water

  24. yesterday: B: 1/2 packet of peach oatmeal, 3 strips turkey bacon L: attempted to eat shrimp pasta - pb:frown: S: 2 oz of yogurt D1: attempted some pizza toppings - pb:frown: D2: attempted brown cow ice cream bar - pb:frown: midnight snack: 2 squares of a hershey bar:thumbup: I guess my fill really kicked in yesterday. I've been scared to eat today so as of now I have not had anything. I have not been hungry either so I may try a protein shake. Workout: none...being lazy. I'm going to get back on track next week.:glare:
