    What ya eating tonight?

I am on puréed stage as well. My go to food has been cottage cheese with a bit of pineapple. On occasion I will do a scrambled egg or some Greek yogurt. Can't wait till the end of the week when I can attempt the soft foods!

My husband is from NYC and made chopped cheese for his lunch and made a special one for me: 1/3 cup ground turkey seasoned with salt, zatar seasoning, and hot sauce all cooked until done and chopped into pieces in the pan 2 TBSP non fat greek yogurt 2 teaspoons of sugar free ketchup He knows I love pickles and went the extra mile and grated in a half sour pickle spear for me. It was delicious and filling and just everything I wanted for lunch on the soft meat stage.

I found these! http://www.franklinfoods.com/greek-cream-cheese https://www.kroger.com/p/kroger-greek-cream-cheese-spread-with-greek-nonfat-yogurt/0001111086130 Bummer the Franklin Foods is only at 1 local chain (Sprouts), not well distributed in the West at all. The Kroger one is definitely not at my local Kroger store, but not surprising. It is a "value" banner, and doesn't cater to a demographic that is necessarily looking for more healthful options

IKR!? BUTTTTT, look at it this way. Lemme just show you the break out if you only have mocha pudding. For about a 6oz serving (Oui Yogurt Glass), it's only like 83cals. And you get omega 3's, healthy soluble fiber, protein, etc, etc, etc. Chocolate Protein Pudding: 86cals; 6g protein; 5g fat; 8g carbs; 7g fiber; 1g net carbs Imagine this without the blueberries and walnuts. That's more than a 1/2 cup of fat free pudding.
  5. Yea I can see how it sounds expensive but they are big. So you can eat them for breakfast like at least four times for one. So that comes out to $1. So not really expensive when you think about a meal. Even if you paired it w a yogurt.
  6. Yum!! Do you chop up the pistachios or can you get them crushed? I recently saw a new flavor Light and Fit yogurt. It’s called Toasted Cocunut. I need to find out the sugars on it first but I was thinking about getting g that flavor instead of my usual strawberry and adding pistachios to it!

  11. it may look like mashed potatoes and beef with spices, but it's actually greek yogurt and dates...with spices lol. ever since someone on here mentioned they put black pepper on thier yougurt years ago, i have since preferred my yogurts to be more savory than sweet. i often put other "uncommon" stuff on my yogurts: roasted garlic, carmelized onions, anchovies, cucumbers, bacon, olive oil.. 228 calories for this one. ate it all.

Day 8ish- apparently what I mean by variety was a different fruit and veggie option and maybe a protein shake or bar. 😂 I counted both the shake and bar in my total calories for the day but may or may not eat them. One thermos has soup the other frozen strawberries and yogurt. The baggies are granola and roasted garbanzo beans. Took the leftover pizza with green beans and a salad with light Italian dressing.

The dressing was 1.25 cups plain whole milk Greek yogurt, two table spoons of mayo, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon of sugar (could probably use a sugar replacement, but I didn’t because it was so little), a teaspoon of salt, pepper, a little garlic powder, a teaspoon of rosemary, like 2 table spoons of tarragon, and a dash of tumeric. I didn’t have dill weed so I used tarragon in the dressing. Really wished I had dill weed!

@SueperGaland @MIZ60 Thank you for the comparison photos. Just what I hoped to see. I'm glad you mentioned that the Thai food was 1 cup (your order) because I was only able to see a difference. A description of what was in the omelet was helpful also. I'm only guessing about the yogurt. The shot is a close-up so I don't really know how much that is. (I usually make my own yogurt, so I'm not familiar with most of the commercial sizes.)

Just another random food photo dump. More Asian chicken kelp noodles, balsamic chicken and veggies. Surimi salad and shrimp (only ate one shrimp). Stir fried tofu with zucchini, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Egg and cheese English muffin with tomato and cucumbers. Chicken and veggie fajita rice. Greek yogurt, caramel rice crisps, and blueberries.
  19. My Nutritionist did a food demo this week and here they are. No after picture but I finished them both. For perspective the glass is a a shot glass and bowl is a small dessert bowl. She served less than an once of yogurt in each. They both were great and opposites on flavor. My wife hates food demos because I skip out in dinner.

i try to stay away from olive oil because of the calories but I will have to try the cold sauce another day. I am out of yogurt and don’t like Mayo. But it sounds good, thanks. I did find a recipe online that sorta jazzes up the fake butter I may try for tonight since I have the ingredients.

Thanks for sharing this! I much prefer getting a plain low fat greek yogurt to the pre-mixed fruit ones (although the "dessert" ones are such good sweet treats) and haven't branched out much for add-ins.

I was gonna say @ms.sss that I’ll be more than happy to eat ALL the carbs! As is the case with dinner- kabuli pilau and vegetable raita. For those that aren’t familiar- pilau is a kind of rice pilaf dish that varies by country across Southern Asia and the Middle East, kabuli pilau is one that comes from Kabul, Afghanistan and traditionally is made with lamb, carrots and raisins. Raita is a yogurt dip? Salad? that’s popular in many variations in India. I think if I make that particular pilau again I’ll double the spices and reduce the ghee used. No after picture, I ate it all.
