First NSV this weekend...FINALLY (35 pounds and no one had noticed!). My next door neighbor whom I haven't seen this winter noticed as we were out working in the yard (called me skinny...not!). Details if you want them from my blog HERE.

Congratulations. They are great NSVs, especially being a motivation for someone else. Keep up the great work!

I just had a NSV this morning. When I first started losing weight I had to go buy a belt to keep my jeans up. Today I went to put it on and had to latch it in the smallest hole. Guess that belt will be on its way out soon. YAH!!!!!!

My NSV was going to the beach with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter last weekend and not being uncomfortable hanging out in my swimsuit. Also being able to run, play, and swim with my granddaughter instead of just wishing we could leave like I used too. Knowing I Just put on a size 10 swimsuit for the first time in years felt great also.

My Scale Victory Today . . .
SanDiegoPhotog posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is probably so old hat to those of you that have lost so much . . . but I'm EXCITED today. I am 11 days post-op and between the pre-approval diet, the pre-op diet, and now the post-op diet, I am down 30 pounds today. No, it hasn't been easy. At times, it hasn't even been pretty. Even now, my boobs have taken on a saggy new dimension all their own and I still have a LONGGGGGGGGG way to go . . . . But I'm still excited about -30 pounds!!!!!!! LOL! I am trying to find some NSVs, but right now, they just aren't really there. I'm barely down a size in clothes -- I could go down, but I'm still getting by. My body is a weird shape because of the swollen belly and small boobs, LOL. So, for now, I need to Celebrate my scale victory! Thanks for listening and caring! -
SueJH are you kidding me??? look at you go!!!! OMG, you just flew by me again........! i know you will continue to run more and more eventually reaching that 5K (which is great ) great NSV!!! keep up the good work girlfriend great weight loss kathy congrats

NSV is non scale victory. ie. losing a clothing size, fitting on an airplane, etc. -
yayy!! awesome job- i am starting to see mine too after only 36 lbs-it is AMAZING the differences we see in just a short time- my nsv was last week- I started my pre-op diet a couple of months ago in a tight size 24- I last week fit into an 18!! I am pretty much a 20- but finding a pair that were 18 was great!! I was stoked... next week is my first fill.. hoping that the loss will start again- haven't really lost anything in the past 3 weeks-but I will take my NSV!!

I got my hair cut at gene Juarez today at the mall. First time spending that much on a haircut. I got the popular cut like Aaron Eerkhart (sp?) as president on "Olympus has fallen." It is for my WLS Center photoshoot tomorrow. Anyways, I am getting checked out left and right walking down the mall, even with my wife at my side. I don't know whether to enjoy this or not, but secretly liking it. Boosts my ego a little. Lol. Not used to it, but hey, not too bad. Don't know if it is all haircut or partly from all the strength training over last 2 months. Either way, it is all good...

I agree with Spatters3, you are very brave! I gave up on the water parks years ago because I could not stand the feeling like I was going to have a heart attack just from climbing the stairs, let alone the weight limits! I cannot wait to read your NSV about conquering the water parks next summer! You will get there! You are doing great so far!

What a great NSV. I'm able to wear rings again that I haven't worn in years. So satisfying!

Congratulations! I would also venture to guess that those are true junior size 13's, so you could definitely wear a smaller size today! Those NSV's sure do make the journey worthwhile. Keep up the good work! -
Great job! Congrats! Those NSVs can keep you going when the scale isn't cooperating!

I haven't been swimming since my LB surgery in January, and while we were in Yellowstone this last week the families wanted to go swimming. Well I am not a cork I have never had a problem treading Water, when I jumped in with 60 pounds less fat I sank like a rock, it took everything I could do to keep my head above water. I honestly believe if I had breathing gear, I could have taken a stroll along the bottom of the river. Well, at least I won't need as much weight the next time I go scuba.

So yesterday I was sitting at work, a bit bored, it is holiday and there is not much to do. I was looking at my hands......and I no longer recognised them. My fingers are longer, or so it seems and it just looks more toned. Feels weird cause I can no longer say, I know something like the back of my hand, cause clearly I dont know my own hand. Just weird!>?Q?

I bought myself a little something to celebrate losing 100 pounds today! I figure each time I look down at my wrist, I will be reminded of my accomplishment. I am so proud of me!

great news and congrats on the great weight loss. my nsv are small and most likely different than anyone elses. i am happy to be able to walk to my car in the parking lot without stopping and catching my breath.......or putting on clothes that i havent been able to in a long time.......(nothing like clothes that are getting tooo big).......and just being well in the mind and positive thinking. my little personal goals are continue to keep walking until i can walk around the block with my hub (and not have him run back for the car to pick up ole girl here) .......hopefully soon i shall get there
