Pammie - what a great NSV - fitting in the seat so comfy cozy LOL Tina - My hair is just up -not shorter - the gal on the far right is Bobbie - she's Angel's Aunt. So what was this you were saying about Robin deciding when you get a fill? Is this something new? I hope not because I opted out on the Robin Visits - I was told that I don't HAVE to see her so I chose not to. Maybe I should make the appt after all. -
It's possible Cajun - even when my scale doesn't move, my clothes continue to get looser -- congrats on the NSV!

Whoo hoo! Way to go. NSV's are the best!

I'm excited to finally be able to post in here. I've been following since i joined. I will be getting my surgery this Tuesday. My NSV is finally being able to believe I can lose this weight and actually be thin. I've been overweight since I was 7 and in the past I've allowed myself to believe maybe i can just be obese instead of morbidly obese or even just overweight but never did I allow myself to believe I could be thin for fear of failure. I'm so excited to begin this journey and congrats to all of you for your progress I can't wait to be where you are.

Stay strong China, it is a very hard time. I did have a nsv, last black friday, i bought a pair of jeans that I said would be my goal to be able to wear this christmas. Well, i got them on yesterday, they are tight, but they zip. So now have to get some belly off to fit good. Have a great day, Laurel -

NSV = Non scale Victory That is awesome, congratulations!!! Just think, soon you will need to start taking links OUT of that watch. I just realized tonight that I am almost back in the cocktail dress I bought for my sister's wedding nearly 8 years ago. Too cool for words. I've been into and there inflated out of that dress a few times. Its nice to know that I will be back into it soon and that it will also soon be too big for me FOREVER!!! :frown: -

Congrats! Love to read about those NSVs! -
I know that there have been threads on this site dedicated to NSVs, but I just wanted to add my own. Over the past weekend, I saw a commercial on tv for a very pretty watch. I mentioned the watch to my hubby and said that I might like it for Christmas. Well, my hubby took me to the local mall later that day to see if we could find the watch at one of the jewelry stores. We found the watch and I tried it on. IT FIT PERFECTLY! :frown: I have never been able to walk into a jewelry store, try on a watch, and have it fit... no extra links needed. I was sooooo happy the watch fit that my hubby bought it for me right then and there.

Christmas Goals?
carolyn24seven replied to carolyn24seven's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Chancie: I love the " take plenty of pictures and not be hiding behind anyone". I am gonna add that to my goal list for Christmas. Thanks! That would be a NSV moment to remember for me. Not hiding when the camera comes out.Or, always being the photographer. -
DeeDee, that is a great NSV!! Congratulations! I remember how excited I was when I looked down and saw my feet for the first time in years, lol.

How neat is that! That must have made your day! I will love the day that I can actually fit into some of my smaller clothes, especially my smaller uniforms, I used to wear a L (now 3X) so to be able to get back into L's will just be the biggest NSV for me!:001_rolleyes:

WOW Ash Isn't that A GREAT NSV Moment!! I bet you were grinning from ear to ear!! I LOVE hearing these stories! Keep up the good work!

tell me this won't last forever
Chancie replied to sweetie333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ok.. here it is..... It Won't last forever- and it will be OK! You're doing good- just stay hydrated! continue to work on your Protein, just don't let it consume your every thought. Lots here say stalls are common- I had soooo much to lose that I didn't stall until about 7 months out. But plenty here stallled after a fe weeks. You're walking everyyday-try to increase it by 5 or 10 minutes- And good NSV about the sweets- don't go to them- I did and it was a major mistake- I never even use to like them- Now I DO! -
30 days out and total loss are 22 pounds I lost them all in the first two weeks then stalling since then and even gained 4 pounds. I lost 26 pounds but not after this 4 pounds gain, total loss is 22 lbs. it is impossible that these 4 pounds are FAT! they must be water. I lost my appetite again and I don't feel that hungry. I really eat very little. since two days I was very hungry at dinner, I ate tuna tiny pieces in a small plate then I vomitted all. simply I can't eat much. I try to get my calories from protein. I am sure I am not getting enough but that is the best I can do. I thank god I can tolerate soft poached eggs very well and I love yoghurt. it passes very smoothly. I can also drink milk. I can eat like 2 eggs and one yoghurt a day. I am so frustrated. I am afraid I will stop here. I still have so so much to lose. as for exercise, I try to walk like 30 minutes a day. I hated protein shakes unfortunately. but my menstrual cycle was very disturbed in the first two weeks. I was spotting for like 20 days then it ended. may be all these is related to hormonal changes. the body is in shock. I really wish to reach my goal weight and to lose then I am sure maintenance will be easy with the sleeve. it is almost impossible to over eat and I don't crave sweets at all. I even hated the chewable centrum cuz it is very sugary. that is one NSV i guess.

Hi all, Start 187 Last Week 186 Yesterday 184  It is moving along. I keep thinking it will stop anytime because I can't exercise (I ruptured the medial band of my plantar fascia or in English I hurt my foot ). I have an NSV as well - I just got into 16s at the end of September and have been given a closet full but they are ALL getting too big! YEAH!!! Maybe people will give me money for clothes for Christmas! I think they feel sorry for me wearing my baggy clothes but I don't want to spend lots of money on clothes I will only wear for a couple of months.

Tiffy - what a GREAT NSV and a hilarious visual - I can just see you contorting all directions to be sure you're eyes weren't playing tricks on you! Rosebud2 - That's GREAT about your triangle light, too and your doctor giving Dr. Aceves a call. Bearded's cardiologist LOVED what he saw when he was in there and asked for Dr. Aceves' information to provide to his patients. Daisy - That is so cool. I am so glad you are going to the dancing class, have made a friend, bought new clothes and that you are getting out and socializing - you needed that!!! Me - I've got a very defined collarbone, my hip bones are starting to be defined, I've got a waist - starting to get that "hour-glass" figure. scale hasn't moved much in the past 2-3 weeks; however, pants I bought 4 weeks ago are big enough around the waist I have to wear a belt - which in turn has given me the compliment that I look "so tall and skinny" on more than one occasion. Keep posting everyone and keep up the great work!!!

Thanks gals for all the SV's and the NSV's...now I can count them on more than one hand! Oooo and 179.5 today! Onward!!! -BG

Ruby, I understand how tough this can be, but I am proud of you for having your first NSV and not turning to food. Please know that we appreciate what your husband and your entire family are doing for us and we are all here for you when you need us.

Ruby - You did do good considering the circumstances - be proud and yes, your first NSV I would say. Thank you and your family for all that you are doing for America.
