  1. Mim, Thanks for sharing that. I go this afternoon for my second fill. I will pay more attention to how I feel knowing what you just experienced. I am SO ready to get this show on the road and feel some restriction. I don't think I've lost any weight this month. Thank goodness for NSV!

    Where is Txarcher?

Good to hear from you! You should NOT feel down. You have just joined the ranks of the many of us who are slow losers. However, I am sure you will soon be back to your rapid loser sttus. Your body is just fighting back a bit. You have put it through quite a lot over the last 7 months. Relax. If you stay the course, the weight will start to drop again. Just remember all you have accomplished and all the many, many NSVs you have (in addition to the SVs).

I just purchased my first my "new me" bras from there about two weeks ago. I know exactly how you feel and the great feeling of being able to shop there. Congrats on your NSV!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. I am so excited with my progress so far. I have just passed my first weightloss goal of 20kg (45lbs). I was banded in November, lost 16kgs by new years and then nothing in January and February. I was tightened at the end of February and since then I have had slow yet steady weightloss. Im still 45.7kg from my final goal though it is such a great feeling knowing that I am on my way. Also, I have bought a few items of clothing over the past month and I have dropped 2 dress sizes, though I still fit into most of my old clothes because I always bought stretchy clothes, though I have a feeling they will onl.y last for another month or two. Another NSV is that finally FINALLY I can wrap myself in a bath towel without showing 15 cm of skin down my side. I have always had to use bath sheets, but not anymore. And I can cross my legs again. YAY!! SOmething that didn't bother me before but now that i can do it again, I feel feminine and free. I guess life is about the simple pleasures. I am exercing a bit more. I walked 7 kms the other day and tomorrow I am going to attempt to cflimb this small mountain near my home. I used to do it all the time but have not been able to make it up there without stopping 20-30 times, which is embarrassing, especially when there are 4-5 year-olds running past you. I am so excited about what my future looks like. Im am so excited about been fit and healthy and being comfotable in my own skin. Another part of making my life better is going back to University. Ill still be working full-time so its going to be hard but I have discovered this inner strength to help me do everything I want to. I am looking forward to getting under 100kg for when I go to Hawaii in September. I think this is a modest goal, secretly I am hoping to get down to 90kg. Anyway, I hope you are achieving your goals in life and weightloss. Stay happy and healthy, Simone.

    My Nsv

Thats not silly! I would definately count that as a NSV! great job! You should uodate your surgery info. I went to see how long its been since your surgery and there wasn't anything there. And yes LBT has took the place of my facebook.---it seems like my world is revolving around the band and weight loss and frankly others get tierd of hearing about it. but on here, I love to hear everyone NSV and even their trails and errors....it seems like we all understand each other.---cool thing to be a part of.

    Encouragment

I know how you feel. The scale is difficult for me to handle so I try to limit when I use it and stay focused on all the positive changes that are taking place in my body and life. Try to find the NSV out there for you. Also you may want to start a measurement log, to track your inches. Good luck, and know that the weight will come off!

    NSV

Rarely is the issue of incontinence brought up. I believe it affects a lot of overweight women. Personally, when I was at my heaviest, I dreaded a cough, sneeze or especially a cold. Relied on poise pads for those awful days. I vote for that NSV to be near the top of my list.⭐️
  14. Starting Date: 10/31/17 Starting Weight: 333 lbs Surgery Date: 2/22/18 Current Weight: 212 lbs NSV: Too many to list
  15. That's an amazing NSV!! I hope you're keeping track so you can do the tax write-off!
  16. Ididit34, I just started the C25K and I love it! I'm on day 3 week 1. It's 30min but includes a 5min warm up and cool down. And thenow you walk for 90 sec then jog for 1 min. Doing day 1 of this app was a true NSV moment for me. I truly felt accomplished because I know 7 months ago at 349 I could barely walk. Just try it and you'd be surprise what you can do. Look at me, I'm 238 pounds and can run! Wow that's awesome.

    Nsv Woohoooo

I have been wearing leggings and yoga pants since January. I stopped wearing jeans when jeans stopped fitting me, ultimately I stopped shopping all together. Yesterday, I went to get a dress for my sisters graduation. Dress looks great but I put on these size 24 shorts way to big, that was a shocker because I have been a 24 for a while then 24's from that store (dots) stopped fitting. So I put on a pair of 22 denim shorts and omggggg they fit like a dream! So now I'm down from a 22/24 in tops to an 18/20. and from a 24 in jeans to a 20! This feels awsome and I'm closer to being able to buy my Forever21+ jeans. Oh and I'm a 2x now too! ahhhhh Things are going sooo well! I needed my bf's motivation to get me through the gym yesterday, today I got it covered on my own!
  18. I went to a company site today which I had not been to in about two years. I worked here in Baltimore for about four years from 2000 - 2004. I was showered with OMG's and awesome compliments all day. I even got a "damn, you got hot.". I walked out of there today with a beaming smile and a new cofidence. It was awesome to see these women completely change the way they interacted with me....it was awesome. I even got a "you look 5 years younger"....so I I'd the math and if I left in 2004 and I'm 41 now...I'm claiming 28...yeah that's it.

    Leak Survivor & Pregnant

Hello MichiganChic, Thank you kindly for the congrats! We are so very excited to welcome a little boy into our lives. I feel and have felt like I needed this for my body and soul. I was told that when pregnant that our bodies sort of do damage control, if you will. I think my emotions needed this because it gives me a closing to one tough chapter and a happy start to a new chapter. How have you been? How is life with your sleeve? According to your Body Weight Ticker, YOU have done amazing!!! Look at you!!! That is awesome! Have any NSV's? Phenonemial loss my friend!! I am still very regretful of my sleeve. I have been in counseling and I am working to make peace with this decision. Life has not been the same since my sleeve. My health has actually been worse, than it was when I was 306lbs. Who is to say that If I stayed or gained it wouldn't be unhealthy. But overall, I feel as if, I have never really made it to a 'healthy' status. At a year and a half out, I was still not able to keep nourishment (food/liquid) down. This is attitritubed to the masses that are in my sleeve, and the potential of my vagal nerve being damaged or cut. I have been on so many medicines and combinations to try and keep nourishment down that its not funny. A few months ago, I let it all go! I decided what will be, will be. I would like for my body to be in its natural state. So, I no longer take medicine to keep nourishment down. Labs show sign of malnourishment. I find that If I keep my spirit in the right place I manage pretty good. So, I do my best everyday to eat, drink and take my Vitamins. One day at a time! I've got this! My kidneys have struggled a lot through the leak and they are still an issue. I see the nephrologist regulary. It's painful to endure, but like everything else... I take it a day at time and keep my mind in the right place. I hope that you're having a good Sunday! I look forward to an update on your life with the sleeve! Best, Sannah
  20. I took my Grandbabies to an indoor Water park and not only did I look good in my daughter's swim suit,, I PARTICIPATED! I climbed the tower with nets and went in one of those tubular slides with them, you know the enclosed long winding ones? Yes me, at 47 for the first time ever in my life I did not say I could not, I said I WILL and I DID! I was not self conscious the whole time or afraid of getting stuck. We spent the whole day in the water park and I have the butt burns to prove it:) oh and pics too! We followed the long day by a wonderful dinner of crab legs at Joe's Crab shack,. Swimming makes you hungry or in my case shaky weak from low blood sugar
  21. Thanks everyone! I had several NSV's this weekend. I had to give away more clothes and I was able to wear a pair of smaller jeans and a pullover windbreaker that I have not worn in nearly 5 years! It was big on me! Woooohooooo! I only have one more pound and I will be down 50!!!!! I hope to make this by Thursday, my four month surgiversary!

    Only here will understand

YEAH! Weighing the same as your driver's license is such a great NSV (non scale victory)! When I was asked my weight at a doctors office (the ones that don't weight you) or for an activity like riding a horse I used to say "Do you want my real weight or my driver's license weight?" I always have to be the smart ass!

    NSV's Spring 2019 Edition

I have what I would say are "small NSV's" almost daily. I mean, I notice small things and am amazed by them nearly every day. Like, I can see definition in my ankles whereas I have had "cankles" all my life. BUT, the most amazing NSV happened to me about a month ago... I work from home and my home office is near the bathroom. I went into the bathroom without turning on the light and as I was walking out, there was a STRANGER in the bathroom with me! For the fraction of a second that it took me to realize that the stranger was me in the mirror, sheer terror ran through me. Once I realized that it was me, I had a very good laugh and it made me feel good that I've made such a transformation that I didn't even recognize myself.
  25. @15k, my pulmonologist sent in an order to adjust my range. Currently 14-8. And have it switched to an auto adjust so that as my weight drops and with physiological changes the pressure will adjust accordingly. The bi-pap is amazing. I had a cpap yrs ago and had a lot of trouble. Went to a new pulmonologist and she told me about the bi-pap. How the pressure is greater when you breathe in and less when you breathe out. Making it feel more like normal breathing on the exhale. I found it to be much more comfortable. And this self adjust mode is amazing too. Very handy for dramatic weight loss situations. Though I miss the quality of sleep, I may have to play it safe and wait a little bit, days, and let my healing progress. I think this all may have set me back a bit. This, too, is near the top of my list of goals. 1st NSV, lower my weight to decrease the chances of my cancer returning and 2nd NSV, get off this machine, for good!!!
