    October 2018 Sleevers

    October 2018 Sleevers

I was getting 700-800 a month ago and hit a 3-week stall. I started a Beachbody program by trainer Shaun T and had to increase my intake to keep energy up for workouts. Is 6 days a week of high intensity 30-min workouts plus yoga on Sundays. I've lost 4 lbs last week consuming 1100-1200 calories. My NUT said not to go over 1450 though, I've been following that and losing...I get a little anxious with the amount of calories although everything is pretty lean and high protein.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Not so far and I’ll be 7 weeks out on Wednesday. I did however have a 3 week stall from weeks 2-5, so it’s really nice to be losing again
  4. I'm in as well! Surgery date - 6.18.12- weighed in at my hugest 266 CW -190 Thanksgiving goal was 180 but I am currently in a 3 week stall ughh so I'm gonna set my Goal weight by 1.1.13 to 175 so I have 15 to loose by then starting now! Good luck everyone!

    Anyone for October 2020?

same! i put my scale away a couple days ago and plan to just do weekly weigh ins on tuesdays (that was the day I had my surgery) i hear around the 3 week mark (where I am) there is a weight loss stall phenomena called the "dreaded 3 week stall" it doesn't happen to everyone. I decided I didn't want to step on the scale daily and get frustrated anyone not get their cycle after surgery? i'm two days late and haven't started it yet. I usually get my period like clockwork. No chance of pregnancy
  6. I've lost 76.6 since my highest. And 63.6 since March 11th. I've dropped 2 sizes in pants. I lost a bunch at the beginning but has tapered off and I'm losing at a regular rate now 1-2 lbs a week. I did have an almost 3 week stall and then all of a sudden I dropped 10lbs in a week. So it made up for it!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Awesome job!! Just think where we are going to be this time next year!!! Hotties!!! Can't wait!! How are you doing?I'm feeling really good almost back to normal however the scale on the other hand is not good I'm assuming it's the dreaded 3 week stall all the vets talk about I've only shown a 2 oz loss in the last 3 days. I know it will pass but it's so frustrating.

    Struggling!

I can understand the uninterest in food as I went through that but set my phone alarm every three hours to eat something and forced myself no matter how small the meal/snack was. Your body has gone through a huge shock and along with that your head has too. Do you have a therapist you can talk to? You don't have your stats showing so I don't know if you are starting from a lower BMI so can't comment about the weight however you are on week three with the infamous 3 week stall. So pack the scales away, keep to the programme and check in another week, hard to do but will stop the head f**ks. Have you spoken to your NUT about starting other foods? Best of luck and congrats on the surgery! Hang on in there, it'll get better

    July 2021 Surgery People!

Hi all - So Ive lost 20 lbs in the past 2.5 weeks, but now I havent seen the scale budge in 3-4 days. I guess this is the 3 week stall I keep reading about. Anyone else experiencing this?

    4 weeks post-op troubles

I'm at my 3 week stall too! It's normal if you've already lost a lot of weight in the first two weeks. All of the vets say to Just keep following your plan!

3MONTH ROLL CALL...HOW MUCH ARE YOU DOWN

Feeling a little defeated, it's been 8 weeks and I have only lost 23 lbs. I had an unbearable 2-3 week stall but thankfully that's over. Trying to stay positive but it's hard when my expectations are so high.

    July 2021 Surgery People!

Checking in Surgery Status: a bit over 6 weeks Post Op VSG Phase: regular food (but don't tolerate all of it well) Highest known weight: 201.5 Surgery weight: 201.5 (didn't need a pre-op diet) Current Weight: 177.0 I'm getting discouraged because although I'm THRILLED to have lost 24 pounds since surgery, I've been at roughly the same weight for 3 weeks now! I've heard of the 3-week stall . . . could that be what's STILL going on with me, even at 6+ weeks PO? My calorie intake is usually around 600-700/day, and I get close to 60g Protein in every day. I also get nearly the amount of water I should daily, and stay under 20 carbs/day. Am I doing something wrong? Please tell me I'm just in a (very long...) stall and the scale will start moving (downward!) soon!

4 weeks post op & scale isn't decreasing

I don't think you are off track. You are going through the dreaded 3 week stall. Losing 13 lbs a week for 2 weeks may have sent your body into starvation mode. Now it has to figure out this new lifestyle of yours. Once it figures out that you're not really starving, it will stop holding onto every calorie. The weight will start coming off if you just stick to your eating and exercise plan. It was a worrisome problem I had to learn to live with. I've gone through 8 or 9 stalls and it took a long time to learn that - as long as I kept doing what was working, it would start working again. The worst thing I could do was to start fiddling with my diet plan.

You both might be at the famous 3 week stall. Sometimes it may occur after the 3rd week. There are many threads and posts about this on here. From what I have read from other posters, it is suggested to basically keep following your plan, making sure water & protein goals are met, stay off the scale for a few days, & wait it out. You should start losing again soon. It may take a week or 2. There are more detailed responses about this, you can search "stalls" or "3 week stall" in the community to see them. Good luck, I hope you both get back to losing soon! I will probably be joining you both in the famous stall any day now.

    Post op march sleevers

Me too. The 3 week stall is driving me bats!!t. Hoping to get the scale moving again any day. Other than that I feel pretty good. Have been tired since the very 1st day but is gets slightly better all the time. I may feel like my normal self very soon. I am tolerating most anything I've tried to eat and the restriction is great. Maybe even more restriction than I had planned on.
  17. I am just at 4 weeks and had that 3 week stall that lasted 6 days. Finally started dropping again. I had mw follow up with the surgeon yesterday and am now cleared to do more than walking for exercise. I am anxious to see the effects of gym visits on my loss.

    African American Sleevers

Every thread I have read talks about the dreaded 3 week stall. It is the first of many. Your body is in major adjustment phase, trying to hold on thinking it's in starvation mode. Keep working the sleeve and you will see results. Don't stress because that's no good either. Never before had your body lost at this rate so be gentle and understanding with what it does. You will be a big loser! Lol
  19. So happy~ I am doing the happy dance this morning. My 3-week stall finally broke!! Down to 218.6. Concentrated on getting in all of my protein and water and it finally paid off :-)

  20. Purchase size 10 bathsuit shorts bottom today, made me forget all about my 3 week stall.

  21. Broke my 3 week stall this morning with a 4.5 lb drop! YAY!

  22. Guess I've hit the 3 week stall too. I just wish I could get my blood pressure down and keep it there. Yesterday I didn't feel good so I checked it. 176/98. Too high!

Finally got a referral to a cardiologist. Now the wait begins for the paper work game. My primary did increase the new med I started last week. I walked 2 miles yesterday and today. I figure that won't hurt. The weather here has been beautiful. The rest of the week will be in the mid 80's but the evenings are very cool. I have on sweats now from walking but I think I could just do a t-shirt tomorrow. Hope you have a great day....I'm in OK, where are you?
