What does NSV mean? I thought I knew, but when I saw how it was used in the sentence, I know I don't. Thanks! Congrats on the jeans! I am just excited my ring fell off yesterday after 5 days post op! lol I love hearing people say they love their sleeve. I am in the "what have I done to myself" stage!

How many calories are you eating? If you don't track it, try doing it for a couple of days. It is possible that you aren't eating enough. I had a stall at about the same point and was only eating about 800-900 calories. When I bumped it up to 1,000 I started losing again. If that's not it, try shaking it up some other way...lower your carbs, kick up your exercise, etc. Sometimes you just need to change things up to get the scale moving again. Also, find other things to motivate yourself other than the scale - are you down a size, are your clothes looser, can you walk longer, do your knees not hurt anymor, etc. Those sort of NSVs keep me going when I don't see movement on the scale. Good Luck!

I have 2 wonderful NSV this week and I wanted to share - I need a couple of pairs of jeans - my old ones are WAY to big so I took them to the consignment shop and was down to 2 pair that fit - OK. I decided to go ahead and shop for a couple of pairs of jeans to fit me on my way to goal. Right now I am wearing mostly 12s and I thought I would try to find a pair of jeans - a fun trendy pair so I tried on these brands: Miss Me, Big Star, MKE, Buckle, Silver etc. I was trying on anything from 33 waist down to 31. I am taller an need 34 length - not always easy to find. I was SUPER happy that I decided to run into JC Penny and spotted a few A.N.A> brand jeans that were cute so off I go to the dressing room with 5 pairs of size 12 to try.........none fit. To ....baggy!??? I ended up buying one pair of size 10's and the best part was they were only $27 - whoot. I really wanted 2 pair so I headed to the Buckle store and must have tried on 20 pair of jeans..... ended up spending WAY WAY to much on a pair of Rock Revival jeans ($168-eek!). But decided this was my gift to myself for losing 52 pounds to date. And they just really made me feel so good when I looked at them. I am going to ask my honey to take a few pictures for my progress file later today and I will post. They are 31 x 34 and I love them....!! Shopping is getting way to fun. I must slow down on that until I make goal! I love my sleeve!

This may be a dumb question, but what does NSV stand for? I know what it means, but the closest I can guess is "No Small Victories" -
I just broke into my first pair of size 10's!!! I'm having to get rid of all my 16's now and I can fit all 14's. I can fit half my 12's too... LOL YAYYYY!!!! I bought a cute bathing suit for summer, the top is a M and the bikini skirt (with a slit ) is a Large. I bought a Medium as well so I can go down a bit more. Anyway, it fits perfect!! I can wrap a towel all the way around my whole body!!! I'm feeling good folks!!! Those NSV's are rocking my world right now... haaa!!! THANK YOU SLEEVE!!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon All, This week I had a great NSV. I called my mom up to see if I could get some shirts from her because all of mine are to big, trying not to spend to much on replacing clothing. So she says yes she does and I'm all set to go to her house and raid her closet (I love shopping her a closet she has expensive taste and good quality clothing). I get a call back from her she says lets go to the mall and I'll buy you some stuff. I'm like sure thanks Mom (loves her so much). We go in Macy Plus size department don't like anything in there , not my style. I knew I could fit a 16w in plus size, so my mom is like you could probably fit things in teh Missy Department so we go upstairs in the Missy department and guess what I could fit thing in there. I got a dress in X-large not a 1x but an X-large. Than we go into JcPenny Missy department and guess what I was able to shop there to I got two pair of size 18 regular pants. I'm in the dressing room like regular pants. These are regular pants no "W" after the number. I am so excited. I'm going down baby!! Sorry for the long winded story but I'm so excited. Thanks for reading!!

Way to go! You are doing awsome. That's great to focus on nsv's, especially when the damn scale just isn't moving. Keep doing what your doing and the scale will reflect it.

Congrats Vicki... keep up the good work. It is very frustrating when the scale doesn't move but sometimes we don't realize the NSV's. I was just thinking last night... "OMG, my knee doesn't hurt anymore... AT ALL" I don't even know when it quit bothering me! Way to go!!!

It is funny, I thought I was the only who could not see me as the world did until I saw a picture of myself. I go to Seattle is less than 3 weeks, to see my daughter and her family. I am acutally sort of excited to have a picture taken again. I also scored a nice NSV this week too - I can officially wear ALL the clothes in my closet. So, to Celebrate, I am cleaning out my closet this weekend of all the stuff that it too big so I can make room for the new. Have to look good when I go to see the daughter.

I am so very happy that I took the step to get banded! The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a struggle for me because the scale has barely moved - about 1 lb in 2 weeks. But, luckily, just when I was starting to get frustrated I had some awesome NSVs. First of all, I have to explain that I am one of those people who just didn't see myself as looking as fat as I was. When I looked in the mirror I knew I was overweight but the person I saw was not the morbidly obese person who showed up whenever I saw a picture of myself. Last weekend, my family was at a St. Patrick's Day parade and my husband took a picture of my son and I. When I saw the picture later, I just sat and stared at it. This was the first time in many years that I saw the same person in the picture that I see in the mirror each day. This is a HUGE deal for me!!! Then today I went shopping because I was getting tired of having to pull my jeans up every time I take a few steps (I could actually take them off without unbuttoning them). I am now in a size 22 pants (down from an almost unwearbly tight 28) and in a size 18/20 top (down from a 26/28). This is all since I started my pre-op diet on November 18th! While this journey hasn't always been easy, it's these little things that keep me motivated. Even though the scale isn't moving the way I want it to right now, I can see the difference in my body and in my clothes sizes and that just reinforces why I am doing this. I am happier with myself that I have been in years!!!
