Congratulations! That is a good NSV! Just remember to throw out the wrapper from the string cheese when you are done!

I'm pretty early to have a NSV, but I had to share. Even though I'm single and don't have to "hide" food from anyone at home, my lifestyle is so hectic that I am always on the go and consequently it seemed like I was always eating in my car. Not really a fan of fast food, with a couple of exceptions- but it wasn't a big deal to have other food I bought at the store to "eat and run". Consequently, my car always had food crumbs on the floor or cup holder. I just went and got my car cleaned today (1st time since surgery 3 wks ago) and realized I might be able to keep my car clean now because eating in the car is going to be a thing of the past now or at the very least very minimal. I don't thing string cheese leaves too many crumbs.

I fly about twice a year and usually had to ask for a seat belt extender. One of my favorite NSV was when, in March, I flew to Illinois to see my sister and nephew and I did NOT need an extender!! I am flying to DC next month on a different airline (so possibly a different make of plane) and I am looking forward to seeing how I fit in the seat! Good luck everyone!

I was at target and saw some cute capri rollup jeans and they were on sale for like 11 bucks, so I decided to get them. I went for a size smaller thinking I would get in them eventually. went home and tried them on and I could get them all the way up but not buttoned But it is so close, they are 14's. I was jumping up and down cause I should be able to wear em in maybe 5-10 more lbs maybe. yeaaaahhhh! I think I might hit onderland some this week or next also. I seem to be losing more in my thighs than I usually do also, because I usually cant get on pants and not have them fit around my waist. I have the thunder thigh problem. Anyway, I was a bit happy with my dizcovery

This is a great philosophy to have! I've had this same WL Mantra since day one. I was previously banded for 2.5 years, and had great struggles with it. I guess that's why I can feel so humbled in my progress. Comparing our rates to others I think is the worst mistake anyone can make. Most of us will NOT lose as much as top 1%. I'm certainly not up there. I however am very much OK wiht that. I'm SO HAPPY to be where I am!!! I can do more today than I honestly ever thought possible, and to me that is what matters most! I kept some of my old big clothes. Largest size 28W. I also kept one 3X shirt. OMG it is humongous on me. I just can't believe it.... I have taken pictures a few months ago of me fitting in one pant leg of my 28's. Crazy huh? Other things folks can do are keepting track of our weight on spreadsheets. I do and I love to go back and look at my trends. I'm doing good!! Also, keep a log of all your NSV's. You will be so thankful to have done this. I didn't and wish ever day that I had. Ah well... Good luck to all!! Cherish your journey, it is YOUR OWN!!!

I'm loving what I see in the mirror- I haven't lost any weight this week but, I am very proud of myself. I know my body is changing even if the scale says differently! I hope you all have a wonderful day

Shaving without having to contort my fat body into awkward positions was by far the best NSV EVER ! ! ! Seeing the lady bits is a fabulous NSV! ! ! Congrats and keep rockin' your sleeve!

I walked a mile tonight without getting nauseous! And I haven't had my nausea medicine since 11 am! Woo Hoo so excited!

I had this realization yesterday of a major NSV. I had a date last night and I needed to shave beforehand. Well, it was much easier to shave certain places than before. Thank you sleeve!!!

Now that is a great NSV! For all these years assuming I have girly parts has been a huge leap of faith! I can't wait to meet my va jay jay! Fortunately, there have been persons in my life willing to perform reconnaissance missions and verify.

I just got home from Maui last night and was really interested to see what the scale would tell me. During vacation I decided to not put any limits on what I ate or drank, so had many treats over the course of six days ... I really enjoyed my food at Maui, but restriction kept me in good control of caloric intake. Plus, we were pretty active ... lots of swimming, snorkeling, and walking around in the warm Hawaaiian sun. So I figured the activity would counteract the splurges at the table. So ... my final weigh in was on July 5th (the morning we left for Maui) and I was 169.6 (just barely missed my July 4th goal of 169.0). Today I got on the scale, and O Happy Day, it said I weigh 167.2 -- a loss of 2.4 lbs.! Yay! That was a happy moment for me! I had a couple of NSVs this week too. The biggest one was how easily I now fit in a plane seat. I used to hate and dread flying, because I would overflow the seat and could barely close the seat belt, but now I have no problems at all with the plane seat or seat belt. That felt great! The second NSV came this morning -- my hubby went out to get the mail and saw one of our neighbors, who told him, "Your wife is the incredible shrinking woman!" LOL! I am now wearing a size 14 (or women's Large) and that is so cool! Life is really great with my sleeve!

So I just updated my ticker and realized I have lost half of my excess weight! Woo Hoo! Now I still have a lot of weight to lose but this is a great realization! My doctor set my goal between 230 and 260 (started at 417). There is absolutely no way I would be happy with that! I set my goal at 175 and figured I would just reassess when I reached that. Did you all stick with your doctor's goal or set your own? I just feel 230-260 is too high. I've been at 200 before and wasn't even happy with my weight then.

I went shopping yesterday and bought an XL t-shirt thinking that I should be able to wear it in a month or two... it fits now... NSV? I think so

First off, yes I know that kids say the damnest things. I get that and I love that my 5 year old daughter is so innocent. But......... One of my "AHA" moments to have surgery was when my daughter thought I was going to break the toilet cause my butt was too big. I've had some great nsvs with her. Like that now she can wrap her arms around me and clasp her hands together. I'm about 4 1/2 months out and 150lbs ( 80 lbs lost), but strangely enough in the last couple weeks, I've started to feel self conscious again. I'm at a total loss of why this is. This morning I was getting changed and my daughter came in and started laughing and rolling on the floor. I asked her what was so funny and she came up to me, lifted my shirt and jiggled my tummy ( which is pretty jiggly at the moment) and said my tummy was like a huge amount of jello!!! Can you say ouch??? I know she didn't mean to hurt me and we had a chat about saying things about people (our second chat from when we were at the hospital and the kids and I met a man who lost both his legs - thank god he was okay with hers questions!!!) It just sucks cause I let it get under my skin and now I'm not sure how to feel better about it. Any insite would be great. Thanks

Sweetpea beat me to it ... check on those NSV (do you clothes feel different?) .... you'll get there !!

Charlene, good luck with the sleeve and congrats on approval. If I were to ever lose my band, I would hope I could have the sleeve done. I don't qualify now, but I am afraid I would regain what I have lost without some kind of help. Cynthia, you have been through a lot in the last 4 years, but it sounds like you have gained wonderful family and an amazing man since then. Continue to fight, you are worth it! Update on my exercising...in the last 24 days I have only missed exercising 1 day. I am excited that I am able to stick to it and I was working on the elliptical mainly on level 7 as the lowest in the beginning and now it stays on level 13-15. I haven't lost any weight at all, but my husband and dad said I look smaller. Today I noticed my jeans were getting baggy and I realized I could pull them down without unbuttoning or zipping them! So, that is a surprising NSV! I hope I am able to keep it up. I am not sure I will be able to fit exercising in when I go to New York next weekend, but we will be doing so much walking that it will make up for it. Happy Bandiversary to us all and keep fighting!

have you been checking your measurements? Sometimes the NSV's help with the slow weight loss. Good luck!

That is truly an awesome NSV -- I have been in too many dowdy old western dresses to count -- can hardly wait till I get the chance to be a barmaid too
