I am 5’6 and I think my goal is 150 - which is about the top of my weight range for BMI . Greatest NSV so far is crossing legs comfortably and not having to scooooch up my pants waist to sit down - to cover stomach comfortably in pants [emoji849] HW 242, SW 236- (Bypass 12/20/17) GW#1- 199 [emoji736] (2/11/18) GW#2- 180 [emoji736] (4/2/18) GW#3- 160 CW 175 5’6”

I am 5'4 and I started at 332. I am currently 256lbs. I would love to be down to 140-150, but ultimately somewhere in the 1's would be great! My greats NSV so far has been having more energy and not having to blink an eyelash when I go to pick out an outfit in my closet. It all fits, most of it too big now!

I'm 5ft 3in. Heaviest weight was 292lb. I was 262 on surgery day on January 12th. Today I'm at 208. My goal is 140lb as it's the heaviest i can weigh with a healthy BMI. My goal may change further into my journey. So far my NSVs have been things like tightening up my belt on a plane, being able to rest my head on my knees, being able to shop in something other than the plus size section... I can't wait to see what else the future has in store. ☺

I’m curious! What is your goal weight? How tall are you? How much weight do you have to lose? What is your proudest NSV? For those of you who have met your goal weight: How many pounds have you lost? How long did it take to reach your goal? I’m 5’2”, starting at 240ish pounds, with an ultimate goal weight of 130

February bypass buddies?

So I weighed in today at 327.4, I finally broke the 2 week stall this week and down about 3.5 pounds so far this week! NSV so i took my daughter to pigeon forge for her birthday and wanted to do more activities with the family. I got to ride the mountain coaster. AND. Fit with my 5 year old!! I haven’t been on a “ride” in several years due to concerns of my hips fitting and seatbelts! This was glorious for my soul! I also took a bath this week which I haven’t been able to do in a normal sized tub for a couple of years! God is good Hw-378 Sw- 363 (2/27/18) CW-327.8 -
Eager to post some photographic evidence of my progress so far! This week will mark the beginning of my fifth month post-op. The before photos I weighed in at 280.1 the night before my surgery. The after photos were taken today at my current weight, 229.8.
Some new NSVs include being a size 0 in Torrid dresses and finding my newly purchased size 18s are getting looser and looser.

Out With the Old--In With the New!
FluffyChix replied to FluffyChix's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Update: 7 Weeks Post - 198.4lbs (-24lbs from SW of 222.4lbs--hey, that's 3.4lbs/wk--I'll take it!!!) Basic Macros for 6 Weeks: 450-550 cals; 60-65g protein; <25g fat; <20g carbs Food Volume: 1/2c by volume ALWAYS. I go by volume first. That's about 1.75-2oz protein; 1/2-1oz veggies (no more than 3.5oz by weight) Wow! Big things happened this week, not least of which were doctor appointments that resulted in changing up medications and also discontinuing a medication! Yippeee!!! The cardiologist took me off one of my big time BP drugs and started up a diuretic again -- a different one though. It seems to really help. My BP looks better than before and I'm slowly losing my cankles. Thank you sweet baby Jesus! And my pulmonologist said we should try to discontinue an asthma drug I've been on since about 2000. It's an inhaled steroid and there can be weight gain associated with it. So far, so good on both changes! And the happy miracle is that this week, I've lost about about 8lbs. Now, before everyone goes all sappy. Let me just remind you that most or all of that is fluid. Not real fat loss. But hey, carrying around 8lbs less fluid is grrrrrrEAT! Haha, see what I did there? I also had a NSV! I appropriated a pair of jeans from Mr. No-Hiney himself. They are too big in the waist, but I fill the hiney just fine. They make a great pair of boyfriend jeans. And that means, I can just borrow them and not have to buy anything. Yay me! It's the first time I can claim being more than 25lbs lighter than him since we met! In fact, I haven't been this weight since about 2000. Wowza! I still can't admit that I feel like I'm actually gonna make goal. I'm working on that one. I know it "will come" with time and continued success. But I look at the scale at 198 and think..."Gah! I can't wait until I'm 160lbs again." That was the weight I was when Mr. F. and I first met. And I felt sorta kinda like "all that and a bucket of fried chicken too." I thought I was Miss Thang! Cuz, you know, I was only 10lbs more than my high school weight. LOL. OMG. So weird. I'm still eating repetitiously of the same foods I know I can tolerate (which is a pretty broad food list!). At 6 weeks I'm still eating 1/2c by volume. And I try to limit the weight of any meal to about 3 to 3.5oz max by weight. I honestly don't know if my tummy is talking to my brain. Mainly cuz I think 1/2c volume stretches my tummy, but it doesn't stretch it to top/full capacity. So I'm just abiding by the set volume and knowing that I'm probably safe with that quantity and will do no harm. I'm not gonna test it to see if I can actually eat 3/4c of food by volume. You know? I'm getting about 60-65g of protein in each day and most of that is coming from foods. I look forward to the day (God I hope I don't regret this thought...) when I CAN eat 3/4c of food because I'd like to add in that 1/4c of low carb veggies. So far, I'm staying very low carb, less than 20g per day total carbs. I'm eating protein, a TINY bit of fat from spray EVOO, and eating about 1/2-1oz (weight) of veggies per meal. That leaves me with 1.75-2oz (weight) of protein per meal. It's right on target with the amounts my RD has in the BIG BOOK OF BARIATRICS. LOL. My calories still average between 450-550cals/day. I'm getting in all of my water each day with a minimum of 100fl oz and often going as much as 120fl oz. So all in all--a good and productive week. I'll be back next week to report more. -
So I had a NSV today..... on the plane back to the UK from my holiday to Lanzarote, I got to fasten my seat belt easily AND tighten it up by at least 8". I always just automatically set it to the longest it'll go and squeeze it shut, sitting uncomfortably until we're allowed to take it off. Well, not anymore! Yipeeee!

Looking at my wardrobe, as I pull out the bags with stored clothes in 10lb weight ranges (I store when I grow, knowing I will get thin again. I throw out or give away when I shrink, knowing I will never get fat again. Expensive!) I notice that my clothes are pretty much all black or grey. Fat girls don’t show off, right? So, yesterday I bought this, and today I am wearing it... SO many comments.

Oh, that's too bad you are both having abdominal tenderness. I have no issues there since 2 weeks out. So I'm doing fantastic. My weight loss is a little slower than I'd like, but I'm sure most people feel this way. But I feel really good. I had a period of low energy and weakness, but I believe B12 shots have taken care of that. My stomach is great, able to tolerate everything I throw at it. I'm loving having such a small stomach capacity. It keeps me from self sabotaging too much even when I give into cravings. I'm also loving that having no physical hunger, only head hunger makes those cravings easier to control. NSV - I finally figured out protein shakes and vitamins/mineral that are working for me. I became intolerant of whey protein about a month ago. That eliminated most shakes, powders & bars. I'd also not taken my multivitamins & calcium regularly because they cause extreme nausea. Now I've found premade protein shakes that agrees with me, and tastes decent. I've found multivitamins and calcium supplements that don't upset my stomach. I'm now able to get in all my required vitamins and minerals, plus the additional pills like my ppi, stool softener and probiotic & meet or at least get close to my protein requirements!

November sleevers here
LylaLovesCoffee replied to BabyFat23's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved 11/8/17... Everything was working out well the first month.. I was tired all the time which is to be expected. Then my StepFather passed away on 12/8/17. It's been rough. I didn't mess up my eating, but the stress and my weight loss messed up my balance. At first I thought it was I wasn't getting enough water and protein so I adjusted that accordingly and waited for my 3 month checkup to see if I needed to change anything. Dr. Le said to see an ear nose and throat doctor which I did yesterday. I have been scheduled for a VNG test next week to see what's going on with my Vestibular Integrity. Cross your fingers... Prayers.. Good Vibes... Good Juju's I'll take it all that the test reveal it's a quick and easy fix. Also on a side note.. NSV.. I managed to be able to cross my legs again. I'm wearing a men's XL pajama pants. They were my Late StepFather's PJ's I miss him soo much. HW 421 SW 344 CW 296 GW 170 -

2 weeks vsg post op & only lost 17 pounds
GreenTealael replied to Nikki46vsgjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A) work daily towards that goal , not everyone can meet it right away the scale can bounce around so look for NSV like lost inches C) I use alarms and timers on my phone or I would never know when I can transition D) some say it's there new full warning E) Everyone worries bit as long as you don't have complications (which you should tell your surgeon immediately) you should be fine Safe journey and Congrats on -17lbs That's a victory -
When I first started this journey, I could not walk one block without needing to stop due to back pain and breathlessness. Today, I walked 2.7 miles. I was slow -- it took me an hour and 16 minutes -- but my back held up, and I felt really good and grateful the whole time. Anyone else have any non-scale victories to share?

Maybe you've been such a good girl you've hit the dreaded 3-week stall 9 days early. Keep on what you're doing right, once your body "catches its breath" you will resume losing again. Have your measurements gotten smaller,? even those NSV (non scale victories) are something to feel proud of. You are an example to all the "newbies" who yearn to be like you and someday they will be. Smile, you're still traveling on the road to better health![emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Hello MGBGers! Happy Monday! I am 21 days Post-Op today and have my follow up with my surgeon this afternoon. Current weight is 229 which is 32 pounds down from my starting weight and 21 pounds down from my pre-op surgery date weight. I broke down and bought clothes this weekend. I have a business trip coming up and even the few clothes I saved I’m starting to drown in now. Big nsv- I was able to shop in the regular side of the store - even purchasing some Shapewear in sizes M (shorts) and L (tank - for breasts) No more XL or 1X or 2X! Also this week my diet expands to include fish and soft veggies and hummus and all different flavors and textures! I’m super excited! I hope everyone is doing well. Looking forward to taking 1 month pictures next Monday and seeing the difference. Post how you’re doing! SW: 261 Pre-Op: 250 CW: 229 GW: 135-140 range
