Ugh I'm at day 25 and today was rough. I don't know if I just over did it this week or what. I didn't have a BM for a few days (sorry for TMI) I took something to help move things along and that worked, but I'm having pain on my lower left side and I've felt kind of sick to my stomach all day. I feel like I broke something inside. I went easy on eating today, I've only had some apple sauce, a few ounces of smoothie, and a soft scrambled egg. Hoping I'll feel better tomorrow.

Two alternative ways to get "unstuck"
want_so_bad replied to Marmite_crumpet's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
if i raise my arms above my head and kinda jump around, that has helped. (at home only, lol) i have tried pineapple juice once. hurt like hell and i ended up just throwing it up. and then later whatever it was that was stuck. maybe i drank too much? i dont know. ok, and this is gonna be way tmi, but...i swear, like 50% of the time i am stuck, i also have to have a bm. and if i poo, i am no longer stuck. how freakin weird is that??? -
Any 7/14's- post op?
cupples0405 replied to reducer623's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi guys, I'm 7/15. I'm doing well overall but I'm just so darn sore and it seems like I'm sore everywhere. From my head to my legs. My incisions are itchy but sore. Im able to get close to the 60g Protein daily (52ish) and close to the 64oz. I'm just so darn tired of sipping. I'm still having a hard time establishing a good pattern of bowel movements (sorry, TMI). I also still can't sleep on either side comfortably and that frustrating. No issues of nausea but did take some of my acid reflux medicine for the first time today. Thinking about adding some GasX to help in that department. Adding one more medication makes me cringe but if takes some of this discomfort away I'm game at this point. food has really been the last thing on my mind but I am looking forward to the puréed stage. I think once I start chewing something I'll start to feel normal again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Buddies Group - Surgery Dec 4 to 15, 2017
DeletedAccount replied to Mary Stokley Gromer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Okay... TMI warning I know this has come up, but I'm two weeks out, and so far I've only had 2 BMs - both were very difficult and uncomfortable. It's now been several days, and... nothing. I've been taking Colace, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I'm still on liquids... is this normal or should I be concerned? Should I try throwing a couple prunes in the blender with my protein shake? I never had this problem pre-surgery, so I'm not sure what else to do. I'm staying active, walking, getting my water in, etc., but nothing seems to help. -
Biggest NSV so far: Warning TMI (Y'all know me by now! No filter!) Sex has brought about a whole new (old really) set of issues buuut! It's so much better! I used to get tired like a dude after only a single orgasm but now? child I tell you what! We don't stop 'till I say so! ^.^

I just want to go to the bathroom! UGH
kikicoates78 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have always struggled a bit with constipation, but this surgery is KILLING me. Lol I have been taking meds now for 3 days to try to go. Still nothing. I know maybe TMI but please tell me this is normal? -
Totally obsessed here!!! I weigh multiple times a day. Naked with an empty bladder...hmm, I just pooped, let's check again....before dinner...before bed...after exercising. I know it's crazy, but I keep hoping to see the scales move after being barely in Twoterville for so long. My favorite trick (sorry if TMI) is to try to have a bm BEFORE I eat or drink anything: The Ultimate True Weight!!! LOL! Get the straight jacket!

Preggy progress/Updates/Tell us how you're doing!
HeatherO replied to eejaydiva's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I am going to wait on the pump until after the baby is here. I actually had a surprise baby shower at work yesterday and ended up with a gift certificate to Baby's R Us for $185. I think all of some portion of that might just be the pump after she comes. :0) CherryBlue . . . I feel your pain with the leg cramps. I had to drive an hour an MBA class yesterday night and I found that I was getting a horrible cramp in my foot by depressing the gas pedal. I actually had to use my cruise control. I get really bad leg/foot cramps now so I have been trying to eat more bananas (my mum always told me to do this) and using massage to try and work it out. I noticed my rings are a little tight as well and I had another week with a huge gain (4 pounds or so). I think it might be Water weight but my blood pressure is normal so I am not too concerned. Warning - maybe TMI . . . I am pretty sure I lost my mucus plug on Monday while I was fishing with my husband. I wasnt sure until I spoke to my ob today but now I am sure that is what it was. I was confused because I thought it was supposed to be discolored with a tinge of blood but it wasn't like that, there was no blood at all. My ob also told me today that I am 1 centimeter dialated. That allowed me to get really excited for all of 20-30 seconds before she then said that all it means is that my body is preparing for delivery . . . which could be this weekend or a couple of weeks from now. Darn . . . I was hoping that it meant that this daily discomfort would be over really soon, lol. All it really means is that I will have a baby sometime over the next several weeks (which I already suspected to be the case, lol). Also . . . have any of you noticed that people always tell you in the last bit of pregnancy to "enjoy your sleep while you can get it." What sleep are they referring to? (perhaps they have never been pregnant or have blissfully forgotten the experience) --> Is it the continuous uncomfortable tossing and turning to find a position that is slighly less terrible than the last. --> Or is it the waking up with an occasional unexpected but exceedingly painful leg cramp? --> Or is it the waking up sooo hot because your husband has lovingly tucked the covers around you for the umpteenth time until you look like an eskimo (and it is almost June). --> Or is it the 3rd, 5th or millionth time you got up to pee in the middle of the night? Lol, I need this baby to come so I can get a little rest between feedings. It has to be better than what it is like now. -

TMI Gay Men & future of bottoming - serious question
TheBearguy8 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am scheduled and finding myself in a panic over an issue that men here must have an opinion about. Anal sex after the sleeve recovery period. Long term changes to the entire way your digestive system works. I had lost 35 pounds through exercise and discipline, but hit a wall while still at a BMI of 38, stuck for 4 years. I'm not morbidly obese anymore, but definitely eligible with a 45 inch belly to prove it. Also had an umbilical cord hernia mesh fix when I was 22 and a dancer, now in my 50's. There's a vanity aspect to this because my doctor thinks I'm down to a safer range of numbers - and I've been HIV positive for 32 years and never ill - a real miracle. Being overweight really did mean confirming I was healthy as friends died around me. Now it's really a last chance to live a long life, and not die of obesity related illnesses like my entire family has. Might I have diarreah or uncontrollable gas or other lower intestinal problems that could affect my sex life? -
In person, I seldom talk TMI around men but on a forum it doesn't bother me. Most of these men have had wives or sisters they know this stuff exists, and as a mother to 2 boys and a husband tee hee I definitely know their stuff exists.

To Curvy: more re: the bicycle seat; what everyone else said is true but I found I needed a slightly wider seat to accommodate my wide pelvic bones! TMI sorry! LOL! It took trying several different seats till I found the one I have on my bike now. The difference in the width is only about 3/4 inch on each side but it made a big difference in my comfort on long rides. Ironically my bike seat is designed specifically for men. I find the really skinny and hard bike seats like on the spin bikes to be extremely uncomfortable. It feels like it's gonna go where the sun don't shine! Again, sorry if that's TMI every body!

Maddysgram replied to buckeyegirl4's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LMAO!! They don"t tell you about constipation and with some like me diarrhea (TMI). I thank everyone here every chance I get and I now call them "My LB Family". -
my DH is morbise, he has really never tried to lose weight. he is 55 and i am 58 yrs. young- his weight doesn't bother him/he does support my losing weight cuz he enjoys the "less" of me for different reasons i.e. sex TMI? - but i also for that too reason would appreciate if he lost some weight. i have a variety of family/friends that are overweight also pushing the unreal foods and servings on me wanting to go out to dinner - like i used to. Its like they want me to join the party of being oerweight like they are, so i can be included in the club - just wondering about others - thanx kathy

Unexpected Gas and mild cramping
Koofka replied to Koofka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks wildgrits. About a half hour after posting, the feeling cleared up and I was able to get back to bed. So two hours of a fair amount of discomfort. Seemed like it may have been gas as a few final burps seemed to relieve it. Also sorry if the original post was a bit TMI, but was struggling there for a bit. Will be sure to try those SF Popsicles if it happens again. -
First I get a result from my dobutamine stress test that indicates I need to see the cardiologist....which has me in a panic that I wont get the surgery. Today I saw him and he could not understand why I was there as nothing in my results indicated the need. While relieve, I could not help being a bit bitter about having to pay $25 of our limited funds to be told this. Meanwhile I was so affected by the dobutamine I postponed my colonoscopy until this week from last Friday. Mind you, this is not normally on the list of required tests...but since I am due for it (sorry for the tmi but I had two polyps on the last one so need another after three years and my WLS doc wants it done before my sleeve). Last Thursday my sleep study results came back and I have apnea. Not too surprised, and more than willing to use the machine... Then I get a phone call from the Gastro department that the apnea dx means I need a general anesthetic for my colonoscopy and THAT WILL DELAY IT UNTIL POSSIBLY JUNE!!!!! I am beyond freaked- with the cardiologist out of the way and my psych eval coming up in two weeks, my nutritionist has said she will help me get the surgery in April, May at the latest. WTF!!!!!! The wacky thing is if I had only had my procedure last week..... DANG!!!!! I had one three years ago with the same doctor with no problem whatsoever for the twilight sleep. The fact that anesthesiologists are only available that far out could totally ruin my chances to have it before June, when we are plunged into our busy season as wedding photographers.

Sharp stinging and burning pains
Tiffany Winn posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery Tuesday and came home Thursday afternoon.. I've been in pain since I got home. Mainly on my left side. When I pull myself into a sitting position, get up, or sit down. My left side burns and has a stinging pain. Is this normal? I usually have to take the pain medication they gave me every 4-6 hours on the dot because of this pain alone. I get my drain removed Monday and will be asking her about this. I was just wondering if it's normal. Or if anyone else had it. I think the hardest part of things has been the pain. I questioned myself a day after surgery, wondering if this was the smartest decision. I also have tons of gas and grumbling. And really loose stool, diarrhea, and grumbling before I actually let loose. (Sorry if that's TMI.) I hope all these start to go away. So tired of feeling like this already. -
Keep having to "#2" after I eat, is this normal?
courtcourt90 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just noticed that every time I eat something rather it's tuna or yogurt. Within 30 minutes I have to boo boo. Is this normal with gastric sleeve? And sometimes it's a slight burn to it too, I know tmi lol -
January surgeries?!
melimel35089 replied to jessicaalyssa's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Omg I just threw up my first time I only had mashed up tuna and mashed up boiled egg like 3oz and threw it all up. My first sensation was uncomfortableness, excessive salvia and the overwhelming need to throw up. Sorry tmi I just never experienced it until now yuck 🤢 -
Hello everyone! Let's get right into it! I was sleeves on 12/26/14 & got my period 2 weeks late on 1/15. My periods have always been on the heavier side, but I got on birth control 5 months ago & it was super light. We'll, lol... This period is seriously, from hell! It is SUPER heavy & With plenty of blood clots. Cramps are terrible and I can sit on my toilet & just feel everything come out. I called my OBGYN & they said it was normal & not to worry. However, I still made an appointment just to be sure. Are periods this heavy normal after surgery? I mean like, wear 2 pads heavy! Sorry for all the TMI ????

losing everywhere but my stomach!!!
Newme76 replied to reenie11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for bringing this up as I thought it was just me. I am only 2 weeks post op but my stomach doesn't seem to be budging. I'm losing mostly in my upper body where I can't afford to decrease in breast size  (TMI?). This makes me feel a lot better to know I am not alone with this.
