TMI, but I usually don't worry about underwear, but when I do, I'm enjoying the new synthetic heat reducing and slight compression of https://www.amazon.com/Jockey-Underwear-Travel-Microfiber-Trunk/dp/B00BJX0UT8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479169268&sr=8-3&keywords=jockey+travel+microfiber+brief -
If they make you feel bloated you might be Lactose Intolerant. I did Premier drinks 2 weeks proop and 4 weeks postop. It gave me the back door trots so bad I couldn't leave the house without a pad on. TMI I know but so very true!! My PA told me after I was almost done with my postop that I was more than likely Lactose Intolerant. I also use GENEPRO. It is great stuff. And it is made by a VETERAN. So we get to support them too. Lots of peeps become Lactose Intolerant after their WLS.

It has caused me so much pain and I'm kind of scared to push. Is there anything you guys can recommend from your experience. I've heard that Metamucil Works has anybody tried it? I am so frustrated at this point can someone help with recommendations please! I spoke to my doctor he also recommended Metamucil. I'm on liquids until the 15th. BrookeTiffani replied to BrookeTiffani's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey guys thanks for the tips! After Friday the gas pains kinda took care of themself. I began to pass more easily. First BM was rough because i hadnt had one in a week. Not even with milk of magnesia. And enema finally worked. Tmi i know. Lol post op tomorrow excited to see if I've lost anything more! Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App -
Okay friends I am so sorry for this tmi post but I'm 4 days post op and as soon as I put anything in I have to go to the bathroom. My information from my surgeon says I can take immodium so after going several times I sent a family member to get some, and the dosing reads after loose stool take one tablet and after every additional loose still take one, I took 3 yesterday and still ended up pooping my brains half the night, then today the same viscous cycle. My friends and family say I need to stop taking the immodium because I'm going to cause a bowel obstruction but this morning I literally had a accident in my bed because it was so loose I couldn't make it to the bathroom! I'm so sorry this is tmi but idk what to do!!! Thank you so much

Blending with ice definitely helps me as well. I seem to be able to get ice cold things in easier than anything else. I am 14 weeks out (tomorrow) and have been having a REALLY difficult time eating actual food. I've had a lot of nausea, vomiting, major constipation (sorry, TMI I know). I've been on ALL kinds of medicine for all of those symptoms....the 24/7 nausea has finally started to pass, now it is only occasional, which is so much better. BUT, I really need to start eating actual food. Any ideas?? Meat does not seem to work for me - I was never a huge fan pre-surgery, but since surgery, meat just does not agree with my new pouch. Eggs seem to be too difficult as well. I need some high protein, low carb, low fat, low sugar ideas.

Any other Halloween sleevers in this group?
rmg19881015 replied to laceemouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
this is my 4th day post op. The first few days were ruff, severe nausea and pain. I'm home and still very uncomfortable still having bad gas pains slight diarrhea. Sorry for tmi. I hope it's just from only being on liquids and not some sort of reaction to my Protein shakes. Getting liquids down still is so hard I'm suppose to drink 3 shakes per day I'm lucky if I can stomach one. I'm trying to do everything by the books and walk ect. This is a tough journey. I'm trying my best what more can we do right? Good luck to you on your journey. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Period, constipation, stall or all of the above?
ShelterDog64 replied to QueenOfTheTamazons's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you walking? That's the single best thing to keep your bowels moving, honestly, as long as you're getting your fluids. Probably TMI, but I walk almost every night after dinner...by the end of 2 miles, I usually need my bathroom -
I was just sleeved on 10/24 and it took almost 7 days for my 1st BM. It was not at all pleasant. It was very difficult and took awhile. Even though I did pretty good getting fliuds in it was hard. Anyhow I talked to my Dr. the other day at my 1 week checkup and was advised to use a stool softner along with benefiber and or miralax. I did pick up colace and benefiber at the store but I only used them that day. The colace being another pill to take along with my other scripts it just too much for me right now. So I think I'll head back out and grab yhe miralax. Btw, I have gone daily since that first time but the poop really reminds me of a babys first in terms of look and texture. Sorry if that was TMI Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

I wasn't even on pain meds when I left hospital that I was taking before about 4x a day. Stopped all my meds the day I left. I had surgery October 3rd and have had 3 bms since. My dr doesn't seem concerned just sat take colace and miralax. Those 3 came only after mom and enemas. Tmi I know. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

This is probably a silly question, but here goes...do you lose pubic fat (FUPA) when you lose weight? If so, does it get saggy? Is it a problem or no? Sorry, genuinely curious about what to look forward to.

I had my surgery on August 3. I get most of my Protein from fish---mostly broiled tilapia. Sometimes I will have a lean cut of steak or a grilled pork chop, but I tend to stick with fish. I eat sugar free yogurt for protein, too-----and when I have those moments of where I am just starving, a piece of low-fat mozzarella string cheese seems to take the edge off. I'm actually able to tolerate quite a bit of different types of food, but I have to be very careful with rice. TMI here, but the few times I have actually vomited, rice has been involved. So, I tend to stay away from that. Except for a few moments in the couple of days after surgery, I have absolutely no regrets. I love my sleeve and have been able to stop taking medication for Type 2 Diabetes. My blood pressure has been great---sometimes I feel a bit tired, but I think that is just my body adjusting to not consuming the amount of carbs that I was before. Also--my gastric sleeve surgery was my 4th surgery this year, lol. In a time span of 8 months, I had a hysterectomy, removal of my gall bladder and an appendectomy. 2016 has been quite a year!

Okay all of this may be TMI but I need answers!!! I'm a month post op and have been kind of spotting dark brown every day since surgery. It stops right after shower for most of the day but comes back again and the odor is horrible. What is going on?! Another question, my boyfriend and I have tried to have sex and I can't get wet. That's never been a problem. We have to use lube now. That's no fun. I'm getting depressed. Please tell me I'm not alone and that I can fix all of this somehow

Castor Oil or Magnesium Citrate ?
Bugsmema replied to BariatricGal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh man, I'd do anything but the castor oil. I was told if my baby was ready to come into this world, to take a spoonful of castor oil. That would bring on labor. She was 3 weeks over due (1968,) they wouldn't think of letting you go that long now, so I tried it! Only thing it did was cleaned me out good, spent hours in bathroom with bucket in hand cause I had it from both ends! Sorry, maybe TMI, it never worked, so I would use the other stuff!! liquid diet questionS- 5 days in.
BrookeTiffani posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey guys! Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday. Couple quick questions that I'd like anyone's opinion on.. #1- I know there are premade shakes that you can buy at the store, however, I am a busy girl on a budget. I have been making Protein shakes from my Protein powder and soy milk each morning. I will make one drink it immediately and then right before work I will make another one for lunch and have it in the fridge until I am ready for it. Pre-made would be MUCH easier but with saving for being out of work for two weeks (silly me did not elect for short term disability this year) it just isn't doable right now. So, I was wondering if anyone went ahead and premade 5-6 cups or however much a blender would hold of the protein powder shakes and just stored them in the fridge until they were ready for them? I figured i could make a big batch ahead of time and then measure out as I'm going. Has anyone done this and was it easier? Also, the consistency. i wouldnt want it to get a weird consistency like sometimes shakes do. #2- (and this one might be a tmi) I am having a weird time going to the restroom. Did the liquid diet mess with anyone elses bowel movements? Other than that, day 5 is going good. I slipped on day 2 and then gave my debit card to a trusted source so I wouldnt be able to have easy access to cheat.. and once I did that it was smooth sailing. Today the hungry feeling has come back but i think it is all in my head because I got my card back (haha). I have ignored the feeling though and am excited at my will power. the guilt from day 2 was enough to not want that solid food anymore. -
Pre op diet misery, cheat and allergies
Butterflywarrior posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So my sleeve surgery is Monday but my very limited pre op diet of seven days gas been awful. I knew aspartame gave me mugraines so avoided that ingredient but got primere with sucralose and popsicles with the same as well as crystal light pure made with truvia which is stevia and a sugar alcohol My tummy has been hurting every day. I finally ate a bite of my mom's veggie omelette and was told if my blood sugar went hypo I could eat yogurt so my blood sugar wasn't quite hypo and I had nonfat Greek honey yogurt. Sure felt better but felt so guilty for cheating and like hope I'm not messing up my stomach prep for surgery Last night after crystal light pure, I threw up once with six episodes all this foamy stuff. Sorry tmi. Number two s been all the runs as well so called weight clinic nurse and they are having me quit all artificial sweeteners as they and I feel they are the culprit and allowing me Protein powder...found one with 25grams of protein and sweet with stevia which is a nature made plant and I can have it in skim milk!!!! Yay So stomach is already way happier and tge Protein Powder taste good not chalky Anyone else with similar problems... cheating, malabsorption??etc?? -
What do you wish you'd known before lap band surgery?
gowalking replied to Sarah A's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I needed my port moved as well. No tummy tuck but it stuck out like a golf ball. Even got caught on my belt sometimes and warning...might be TMI, but certain positions in the bedroom caused a problem as well. Not anymore though now that it's tucked behind the muscle.. -
OMG IM STARVING.
Jemma1983 replied to willdamanager's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi guys, my surgery is scheduled for 2nd November and I'm currently on a 2 week pre op diet and I'm also finding it really difficult! I'm allowed 4 pints of semi skimmed milk per day, but I can substitute one pint of milk with one slim fast shake. I'm on day 3 and I'm so hungry! Plus (sorry if tmi) every time I drink my milk I urgently need the bathroom So my body feels completely empty! 11 days to go, and I'm going to stay strong and get it done, especially after reading PorkChopExpress post. What do you miss or think you will miss about being obese?

That was actually one of the things I talked about in my preop psych evaluation. Culturally, black men appreciate a more voluptuous frame.
