My latest nsv isn’t much but it means something to me. I can’t really see change in my body but my measurements are shrinking and clothes that used to fit tightly fit and are actually fitting looser 😊

I have had several NSV recently... my favorite is that as of Wednesday I am off of my quick acting insulin and my other shot has been taken down from 35 units to 20 units. My A1C is now 5.4 and I may actually be off of another medication by the time I have my surgery. I have not had as much knee pain which makes it easier to walk around.

Today I bought jean shorts, which seems silly but it was a HUGE NSV for me. I was soooo afraid of jean shorts a year ago. Not only that, when the lady was helping me out, she asked what size I was. I shrugged and said I wasn't sure, and she said "probably these" and handed me sizes 0 and 2. Crazy! That in itself was a NSV.
  4. I am soooo glad I started this thread - so I can come back and visit it at times like NOW, since I am stalled again!! LOL Been at 300 now for a week.... but I am handling this stall MUCH better than the first....not wanting to go postal. Just realizing that I may not be losing as fast as I'd like, BUT, it's going to happen. And I am wearing clothes I haven't worn in over 3 years (NSV!).... SO, I am hanging in there!! How is everyone's else progress going???
  5. Glad to hear from you! That sucks at vomiting. Hope it doesn't happen again. Yassssss @ exercising. Same here, working out feels so much better now lol. I feel so happy knowing this time next year, I will be super healthy. I have a small NSV. My XL Old Navy shirt, its huge..down to a large woohoo. Keep pushing everyone! Looking forward to hearing from you all.

My most recent NSV (if I can be considered one) was that my friend snapped a pic of me without my knowledge and sent it to me and I didn’t completely hate it, lol

I haven't read the entire thread but here are some of my NSVs: Biggest one for me is that I SMILE when I see myself in the mirror. I actually look, smile, think "Gee that looks cute" or something along those lines. I have NEVER liked the way I look... until now. This makes me so happy that sometimes I cry. I have collarbones! And shoulder bones, hip bones... I really DO have a skeleton! No need for a seatbelt extender on the plane, or hoping that nobody sits next to me so I don't "overlap" on them. Overlap is also gone from movie theater seats, amusement rides, etc. Many thanks to my good friends who tolerated my "flopping" on them through all those many shows of Nutcracker (our daughters are ballerinas). I can wear regular shoes again. Yes, I still love my crocs, but now there are actual options- even heels! I fit through the turnstiles at some of the rides at Disney World this summer... and I wore a bathing suit to the pool!

Since I’m in a stall at the moment, I’m going to celebrate a nsv from this weekend! I was able to buy “normal” size clothes for the first time in I don’t know how long. I went on an Old Navy shopping spree fitting in to XL and XXL tops! 4 months ago I was wearing 2x and 3x!

NSVs are amazing - my surgery was 5/31/18, I reached my surgeons goal on Sunday. Down 95lbs and ready to maintain. I bought all new pants In January and they are all too big now. I am now a size 8! Never in my life have I been an 8! I was an 18-20 when I had the surgery. I can feel actual bones under my skin - that’s new. my goal was to be the weight I was when I was married 15 years ago. I am 25lbs past that. I have never felt this good. The best decision I have ever made for myself

Awesome NSV's everyone! I had a great one today. My roommate was telling me about her calculus professor and when describing him she said "He looks like a fat ugly version of you actually." I've never had anyone tell me someone looked like a fat version of me. Wow!

    Twenties NSVs

Everyone is doing so well! I love to hear all about NSVs. -I always thought of my lab partner and thought thats what I want to look like. Well the other night we swapped some clothes and all the clothes I got from her were all a little too big! -The fact that I can actually swap clothes with my friends! who would have known I would see the day! - I now wear a size M top and a size 12 bottom. I used to be a 3x/2x and 26/28. -I work in a store where designer is everything and I could never fit into designer jeans until now! I'm offically a size 32 in jeans. -I have run into a few people I went to high school with and none of them recognize me. This is nice but it is also really embarrasing when you say hi and they look at you like you're crazy.

    Twenties NSVs

been awhile since i posted a NSV! so the last post in here i said that i got a personal trainer for the summer. i have seen CRAZY improvements with him this past month, but with him i mostly just weight train. on my own, i have been doing more cardio, something similar to the couch to 5k program. well yesterday i finished my first 5k! and today i did it AGAIN! never thought i would be a runner but i definitely feel like one now. last year i could hardly run for 20 seconds straight. oh and the best improvement ive seen since last year in my workouts: i used to get SO red when i got hot-- like a splotchy bright red, but i never really sweat, and it was really embarrassing for me. now i dont get red so much, but i kind of GLOW and GLISTEN (you know, like the women in those workout DVDs that look gorgeous when they work out? well, i dont look quite that good, but its a HUGE improvement!) funny how the body works.

    Twenties NSVs

omgggg-- some of the best NSVs i've been waiting for!!! so last night i was out celebrating my 21st with some friends from high school that i havent seen in awhile, since its our spring break. not only did i wear a DRESS (size large) out in public, something i havent done basically EVER, but later in the night we met up with another friend of mine, who happened to be hanging out with my ex-boyfriend. well, immediately my friend gave me a hug and he goes "JANE you look so niiiiiiice" with a wink and my ex was a fumbling little puppy in front of me for the rest of the time. i havent seen him for about a year. the whole time he wouldnt stop paying attention to me and i wouldnt give him the time of day, why should i? he didnt pursue me that hard when i was heavier. someone brought up that my brother was taking me to vegas some time in august, and i was telling my friend that i'll have my own hotel room so he was welcome to stay in my room, when my ex butted in and said "oh, well then im DEFINITELY coming!" i tried to be nice, but i was seriously, in my head, like sorry, you're not invited. thanks for breaking up with me, this ship has sailed! oh man, that felt soooo good! all thanks to the band.. i have pictures from that night that i will post in a week or so, when my spring break is over.

    Twenties NSVs

Yeah Zuka I am holding off a completely new wardrobe for a while. I am buying a few new clothes though, out of pure necessity! Buuuuuut I have had a few new NSV's... - I work at Costco now and they have no problem sending me out to do carts! When I worked at HEB (a supermarket) they were always worried about me when I went outside for carts. Not anymore! - All my 2X and 3X shirts are WAY too big on me. Like big to where people comment on it. Haha - I'm treated differently everywhere I go. I no longer get the fat person look. -This is a scale victory, no doubt. I'm down over 100 pounds!! Woooohooo!
  23. I kept forgetting to post this, but got reminded by another board. When I was trying to get my PCP to write a letter to insurance for me, back in December of 2006, he made me get blood work done. Well, at the time, my cholesterol was 286. I got it redone in early February of this year, as part of my 6-month post-op check-up. Guess what? It was 185!
