haha...yeah, I quit smoking before the surgery...and then again a few weeks after. I don't mind driving either, if you're not as familiar with the area. Should be fun!

As I look over profiles, I relate a lot to your story. Your starting BMI is similar to where I am now and I am heading to Dr. Aceves in less than a week. Would you mind messaging me? I need some reassurance and an idea of how this will feel emotionally. I'm nervous.

Hi Barbara - I had not heard of blood clots in the arm. I had a lot of trouble with IV's. And here it is 5 weeks out and I have pain in my upper arm for no apparent reason. Feels like a bruise but there is no bruise. I didn't notice it until the last couple weeks. Do you think this is a sign of a problem. I don't remember hitting my arm on anything.

I have only pictured you as a dancing doll =) I had gone up and down with this decision - especially this past week, but now I made my decision and am not backing down. My boss, who is an avid traininer, has been trying to sway me from getting it done, but she doesn't know all that I had gone through this past 5 years. I am looking forward to this surgery now, and am trying my best to prepare my head for it. Your words are kinda and encouraging. Thank you so so much! I am so glad that you are doing good!!

hey phatman... thanks for checking in! i often forget to check this page, so i apologize for the delay (same to mom of 4). i am going pretty well. my only bummer at the moment is that i am in a stall already. have been stuck at 187-188 for a couple of weeks. not sure what i can/should do to get a jump start... i think i just need to let my body (and mind) adjust. am down one pants size so far, which is good. when is your sleeve, and how are you? i've been really busy with work, so it's been hard to get back on here... but i'll be check in more, now that things have slowed down.

Hey Barb, I so needed to hear you say that to me, because I have been debating this surgery this past week. I will be in Colorado from the 10th to the 29th of April. I am so excited!

Went on a 3 mile hike with my dog then had an AMAZING spurt of energy and cleaned the house

Sitting here in the Atlanta, GA airport, waiting for my flight. Even met up with my Honey here, he is on his way to Florida too. Get to see him for a whole week when I arrive tonight!

Been stalled for almost a month now. Very depressing. Starting to wonder if this is it. My longest stall before now was three weeks.

I go for pre-op testing on July 20, Wednesday. The results will be sent to the doctor. Then they will call me and schedule the surgery. I was told by one of the nurses surgery is usually a week later. I am hoping for August 8th due to my work schedule. How is your pre-op dieting going? Mine is very poor.

The first few nights have been a challenge because sleeping has been a little difficult. I can only get in 3 hours or 4 before i am up tossing around trying to find a good position. Each day the issue becomes less and less but i have to remember, i just got home from the hospital just monday and i should relax a little bit. lmao.

Welcome Divah you are at the right place for great information and lots of tools to get you started and keep you on track for you goal. I am in pre-op stage going through 3 more months of supervised diet for insurance. No complaints cause they will pay for it. Hi Pam, Well I had my surgery 6 days ago with Dr. Kelly. Once again, my stomach was not what a should've been when he got in there. He had to do some more repairs and modify my sleeve. I had another 3 hours of surgery!!! But I have been feeling great!! We did some shopping with Trish 3 days after and I held up without any complaints. Each day it gets better. Good luck to you!!

Congrats on taking the VSG leap!!! I'm looking forward to mine on July 14th. So how has your recovery been? That's one of my biggest worries since I'm only off one week to recover. I hope things are going GREAT!! Wishing you the BEST success.
