Nsv For Me At The Gym Today Yay
Rootman replied to Liliana Arleen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats, I know it's a big NSV, I actually used beach towels at first for the same reason. -
Ha ha, great little nsv! I'm staying with my in laws for Christmas, so the whole family was over yesterday, and whilst tidying up the aftermath my mother in law phones my sister in law to tell her our seven year old niece has left her coat behind. She was just about to dash it over to them when I heard my daughter's panicked cry of "No, dont that's MUMMY'S coat!" I get that I'm smaller, but seriously, confusing my clothes with those of a 7 year old??? Made me smile!

Nsv Times Two! A Double Whammy!
LilMissDiva Irene replied to Forensikchic's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Those ARE great NSV's!! Enjoy the spoils forensik you deserve it with all your hard work! -
My lab director came in my office and made a comment to me "Why are you wearing your husbands shirt to work?"... I laughed. I am wearing my shirt that used to be snug and now it just falls off! It is thick and warm and its cold here today so I just inadvertantly put it on. I guess i will have to retire it now... The second one was what he said after that. We continued to chat and I said I had lost over 40 inches, 10 in my hips alone! He said, "Thats great but dont loose too much weight. You know you can loose too much!" It was the first time someone has said for me not to lose too much.. I am still considered obese and have 45 more pounds to loose to get in the middle of my normal range!!!! I took the comment as a positive though... I told him I still had 45 more pounds to go and he just shook his head and walked off. LMAO! Yay for getting healthy and thin and feeling great about bagging clothes and people saying not to lose to much... I want that problem!

Is It The 3 Week Stall?
Lissa replied to Less of Leslie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It WILL move again! You are at that 3 week stall, for sure. This is when taking measurements helps so much! While you're agonizing over the scale, your body is shrinking. Take some pics today and compare them to your pre-surgery pics. You'll be astonished by all the changes in your body and your face! Stalls happen and, despite anything we do, they are going to happen. We just have to find the NSVs to make them more tolerable! You are doing great! -
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is enjoying the holiday season! I was thinking about goals, what I want to accomplish, and of course, with New Year's just around the corner, resolutions! I never really made any before, especially weight loss ones, because I just knew it wouldn't work. But with this awesome new tool in my possession, I decided I should since I know it'll happen! Here are my resolutions/goals, both weight and non-weight related: -Achieve onederland by my birthday in August. I figured 48 pounds in 8.5 months is doable. -To be considered a "hot geek." I love video games, superheroes, cartoons/anime, anything geeky! -Go to New Orleans this summer. My friend and I have been saving up so this is a huge possibility. -Six Flags is calling my name and I want to be able to ride roller coasters without embarrassing myself trying to squeeze into a ride or to go to the Water park without feeling self-concious and having to wear a t-shirt and shorts. -Properly clean out the trunk of my car! -This is an evil one. I want to be able send a picture of me to my cheating ex-boyfriend with the caption, "If only you knew what you would be losing." -Study abroad. I was offered before, but the places I could have gone (amazing places!) were, well, for a lack of a better term, "skinny countries." I knew if I went, I'd be perpetuating the stereotype of the "typical fat American." Being shy doesn't help, either. -Graduate with my Bachelor's in Art and Design. What are your goals and resolutions for the upcoming year? They can pertain to weight loss, NSVs, or anything! I'd love to hear some.

Nsv For Me At The Gym Today Yay
Liliana Arleen posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I joined a gym and I started to go now than I'm 1 month op. I never thought I could use the gym towels lol. I always bring my own towels because gym ones were too small for me to wrap them around me, but guess what? Today I was finally was able to used one of their towels and wrapped around my body and it fit!!!! I'm excited lol. I can also see my feet better when I look down lol I just wanted to share -
Those NSVs will keep you going when nothing else can! Congrats!!

Really? NSV already? So I've been stuggling with the Protein powders, but I think I've got that whipped with the Isopure RTD. However, my husband made a comment about my jeans getting baggie last night so I thought tonight I might check my measurements since I hadn't checked them in 2-weeks Here goes. Neck 17 - 16-3/4 Waist 51 - 50 Hips 55 - 47...yeah, I lost 7 inches off my hips! So, with these numbers I decided to see if I could get into my old size 22 100% cotton Levis that I would not get rid of for the last 3 years. YEAH BABY! They fit!!!! With that great feeling I pulled a pair of 18's my sister-in-law gave me. First, I could never get them over my thighs. Not tonight! They are up and although I cannot button them, I was able to get them all the way on! I'm feeling frogy! :-) Oh, and down 8-lbs in 7-days. Woo Hoo!!!

Merry Christmas To Me!
Humming Bird replied to Jenn1214's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great NSV! That's why I always say TRY IT ON. As we take off the weight it takes awhile for the brain to catch up. Just holding up a clothing item and trying to judge if it will fit does not work well. Good for you! I had a "Merry Christmas to Me" moment myself ........ I was in ROSS doing a bit of Christmas shopping on the 23rd and found a $10 laying on the floor! Not an NSV, but for sure a "Merry Christmas". -
I guess this could have waited until after my 1st post-op appt... anyway.... I'm feeling great!! A little light headed and weak due to the lack of calories and stuff... I'm only allowed bariatric clears... (Is there something I can have that will help me not feel some "out of it"??).. I easy get in all of my liquids.. (Thank God!!) I'm almost pain free, until I forget that I have staples and that I HAD surgery a week ago... and I try to pick something up off the floor or turn a certain way... I'm still overwhelmed and feeling so blessed by the support I've been receiving from you guys, my family and friends... Although, one of my good friends is MIA... I have a feeling we gonna have to have a 'come to Jesus' meeting really soon... but, it's OK.. she'll be fine!!! I've really been wanting some cream of potato Soup for the last 2 days.. so HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed), I'll be ok to go to full liquids and pureed foods tomorrow!!! I haven't been hungry as normal, but I think that little empty feeling in my middle may be my signal for now.. I'm okay w/ that.. Oh, NSV.... got out of the shower this am, I was able to give myself a little foot massage as I lotioned up!! HA!!! That's huge for me!! As I have left side nerve damage due to some herniated discs in my back, thus lifting my left foot has never been this easy since my injury!!! That made me smile!!! I hope everyone is having a greatly favored and awesomely blessed day!!! Love and Hugs Tina

Okay, so I didn't make my Christmas Challenge goal, which was 280 pounds. But, I'm at 281.2 as of this morning, so I'm pretty happy. I lost 18.8 pounds rather than the original 20. I'll take it and happy dance some more. I did, however, lose 1 and a half pants sizes during the last month(ish) and I'm down 2 shirt sizes! Those are awesome NSV's even if I missed by a tad on the scale!

My best Christmas present and NSV was getting up yesterday for Church, and putting on a regular size 14 pair of jeans ( a little big) and a cute VS top. Then I put my super cute Victoria Secret hoodie with angle wings on the back, borrowed my daughters super cute scarf. And off to Mass I went, it felt so good..... I am truley blessed to have made it this far. Thank you God and band for helping me get here.

2 Months And Stalled Already?
renee5d replied to lapbandsurvivor's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 6 weeks post op today...I have been stuck between 229 & 227 for three weeks. Its so frustrating that I have stopped losing this soon out...and being self pay, it makes me feel horrible that I have spent so much money! I too, am trying to focus on the NSV's and I am loosing inches....although not a lot. I would love to hear if there are any folks out there who hit a long stall soon after surgery....but went on to make your goal weight.
