I am now 4 months out and tried insanity and I am no were near were I need to be to do that yet. I have lost 107lbs so far and run every day and lift weights, I lasted about 20 mins into the first tape and all the jumping bothered my knee and just wasnt to the point you need to be to do that.

Millions of people of North America have already been influenced by the Visulas 90 Day Challenge. The good news is that as of 2012, this program scores ahead of Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig in the race as a weight loose program. And it’s obviously a positive achievement. Watch out Weight Watchers, a result from this trend is irresistible. The truth that’s been proven is that THE 90 DAY CHALLENGE WORKS. Body By Vi The matter of charm with the Visulas 90 Day Challenge is that it’s quite affordable, flavorsome and cool to carry on, whereas other conventional programs are costly and contains many tracks to follow. We just move out of track! 90 day challenge[/url In the Visulas 90 Day Challenge program we insist you to take two shakes a day and yes regularly. So you need to just put those shakes into your daily routine. You may ask- When should I take those shakes? You can replace your breakfast or lunch or dinner with one of the two shakes or you can take one shake even when you are on the go. And we will recommend you to have the other shake AFTER the workout. This will provide you with the privilege to build lean muscle while on the 90 day challenge. So first of all you need to SET A GOAL and then the approach towards VISULAS. Visulas will definitely help you reaching that goal with its proven features during the 90 day challenge.

I have always heard that you need to take 10,000 steps a day for your overall health. I try to get around 15,000......but I walk around a lot during the day and am able to get in a 1-hour walk in the evening....once the kids go to bed! I am sure that it varies from person to person about how many steps will help with weight-loss, but I am assuming that maybe the 10,000 would get you close to that. I am only 3-weeks out from banding and am trying to lose weight, so the 15,000 is working for me. Some days I just can't get that high, but I try to always exceed the 10,000. Good luck to you!

My dissapointing story... Advice please?
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! replied to Riah.815.d's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I agree with Kime-Lou, the very first thing you need to do is go back and see your surgeon. I don't see why he'd want to empty to your band to re-do fills but I do know it's never too late too start over. The next thing I'd do is go see your nutritionist. Be honest in the areas where you struggle and what your needs are and let them help you establish food guidelines that fit into your lifestyle. Remember that weight loss boils down simple math- you lose when you burn more calories than you consume. Perhaps you could start tracking calories? I know for myself, tracking calories is the only way I can be sure I'm not eating too much. It holds me accountable, too. I also measure everything I eat to be sure I'm sticking to band sized portions. These two things have been a very big part of my successful weight loss. I would also look into a support group either near your home or college. I know I'm going to sound like a mom (I have a daughter your age) but it's so crucial you have good support as you restart this weight loss journey. If your family can't do that for you then a support group to lean on will be a truly invaluable resource. Just remember, it's never too late to start over and you can do this -
Hi Dave thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, I DO hear "the band is just a tool" ALL the time. I'm very aware it is NOT the answer. I'm aware that my weight is just as much emotional as it is physical. Luckily, I'm a student by nature and have been studying and going to counseling for some time now...wow, not that I think about it...its been well over a year. I know that the changes will not just be physical ones. In fact, I chose the lap-band for a slower weight loss rate so that I could have time to adjust with the mental/emotional aspects of it all. I suffered from an eating disorder when I was younger and weighed it at 5'10" at 120lbs. Technically I still have one...just the extreme opposite of when i was younger. I was warned that the rapid weight loss of bypass may trigger that need to lose "just a little bit more" and not have the time to adjust as well. I agreed. I am back to the gym now on a regular basis. I have a personal trainer and have built up my strength quite a bit. I've also started with a personal trainer in boxing as well. I'm worried about not being able to get back in there as fast as I would like. Were you working out before the surgery? I can't seem to find anyone in my position to ask how long it takes to get back up to full speed... and then some. I'm already addicted to working out. I'm worried about becoming weak after the surgery. Any thoughts???

Pain around Port area
MelBanded replied to MelBanded's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
MsKate, it's nice to know you are not alone isn't it? as for your comment "Losing my mind" I don't mind as long as I lose some weight at the same time. You just have to laugh about things sometimes, even if it hurts the port area. My mom about killed me this morning. She is recently home recovering from a hip replacement and accidentally brushed her teeth with her antibiotic cream. I thought I was going to split my incision! Melonie -
I do wear compression garments it does help with the lose skin but I want the tummy tuck badly. Cause I want to feel comfortable when I take my clothes off. The blob ( my tummy skin) is too much and makes me feel like I didn't lose weight at all.

Usually, yes. I guess unless you've gained all of the muscle in your abs and obliques of course. Otherwise, yes, you should lose inches as far as your belt size goes.

HELP! Started mushies today.....
wifeof46pilot replied to texasgal2008's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on Feb 21 2008 and I started mushy foods too and have no restrictions. I cheated a little bit and had no trouble and still didn't feel full. It is hard to stick to mushy because I know I can handle regular food. Good luck I am just trying to focus on losing weight. -
I had my psych evaluation 3 weeks ago which was the last thing I needed to get my paperwork sent to insurance. I thought the psychologist I saw was going to send my eval to my bariatric team ASAP but 3 weeks later and they just notified me that they received it!!! Hopefully Blue Cross Blue Shield doesn't decide to be as slow as her! I think the pony express could have delivered it faster ???? Of the 4 women in my office (including me), 2 of them are going on maternity leave this fall/winter and I really wanted to get my sleeve before the first lady went on leave... And during this deductible year since I'm down to only owing $1700 out of pocket instead of $2,500. The annoying part is I will get crap for having to be gone during her leave but I will be doing something to make myself healthier....I am not planning to tell them about the surgery though so they will all think I'm just going to be vacationing at a really inconvenient time... I'm pretty frustrated this morning just knowing I will have to deal with this in my small office. Once insurance does come through (and I'm pretty confident it will because my starting BMI was 49 and I have high BP and I lost 40# during my 6 month Dr supervised weight loss program) I will still have 4 weeks of pre-op classes to attend, which also means taking half days off from work to attend... Hopefully there is a light at the end of this tunnel soon! I feel like I began this process so long ago.... I've been considering WLS since 2012 but my job didn't cover it until this year. I went to my bariatric seminar in February and have tried to do everything as quickly as I could to get through this process, I feel like the psychologist has created such a mess by delaying me 3 weeks Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

I need help with an appeals letter
Tiffykins replied to Rekeca's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I posted some links that I"ve had bookmarked for awhile on how to get approval. BUT, if you do not meet the requirements, you will have an uphill battle. My highest recommendation is to get a letter of support from your PCP/PCM that has managed your care for that time, get a new surgeon because it's denied after your initial appeal, you will need a peer to peer review, and if your surgeon is NOT willing to do that for you, then I personally would not allow him to cut on me, and get paid for it. Here is a sample of a support letter for you PCP/PCM. Dreaded 3-week Stall - Info?
thebionicbroad posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey, everyone. I'm two weeks post-op as of today, down 25 pounds since December 1st, and recovering nicely. I keep reading occasional comments about the 3-week stall. Am I about to hit a weight-loss wall? What happened to you, and what did you do about it? Thanks. -
I went for my first consultation yesterday, and was very excited to get started on this whole journey. By the time I got home, the sleep study receptionist had left a message to make an appointment for tonight. Psychiatrist is on Monday, Gastroscopy is on Wednesday, Cardiologist is on 3/3 and all I have left to do is find a bariatric nutritionist that United Healthcare will cover. I am so excited to get these things under way, so the paperwork can all be submitted to UHC. If they don't approve me I will probably hit this deep funk...so I'm trying to keep myself anticipating anything from them. The surgeons office has already got the criteria from them, so I hope this is all going to be good. Looking forward to being set free from this bondage of weight. Anyone had experience with UHC in Arizona? How long did it take you to hear anything, did they make you jump through hoops.... My surgeon will be Dr. Chiasson (hopefully......)

I'm 10 months out and doing things I never imagined I would go! I went on an alpine slide this summer and i had to ride up on a ski lift! 70 pounds ago, I wouldn't have done it. I work out a the gym and the other day someone asked me a health question. Seriously? I talk to people I don't know. A year ago I was almost a shut-in. I rarely left the house and rarely spoke to people. I now strike up conversations with people at the grocery store and I find that people talk to me more now as well. I go to a hot yoga class every day - if you would have told me a year ago I was even going to attempt hot yoga, I would have laughed. A whole new world has opened up for me - this surgery and the subsequent weight loss is helping me become that person I was supposed to be. I have gained confidence, I have a better relationship with my husband and son, I have reacquainted myself with friends that I shut out over the years, I'm trying new things. For me, this surgery was not only a life-changer, it was a life saver!

I do not know what age you are but as I got older my perspective as to what is worthwhile changed. When you look back on your life you will see what amazing things you did do , maybe not award worthy or what other's may consider spectacular but things that enriched your life. When you lose weight after your surgery you will be able to enjoy even more of these worthwhile but non spectacular things with your loved ones. Simple but enormous at the same time. Congratulate yourself for wanting to change and committing to a new life style but also embrace who you are now and what you have done.

seriously, try fitday.com. I log my foods every day, and they save the last 30 or so, so you an just click on the same foods. the reality is that I do eat a lot of the same things often, so it's easy to just click from the list that's already there. Also, it tracks my weight. I get satisfaction in seeing my little goal chart and that my weights are below what they shold be to meet goal and so far it's all on my own without surgery. Plus, it keeps me honest. When it's evening and the hubby wants popcorn or beer, it's easy for me to look at the food log and see I'm maxed out on carbs and pass without feeling deprived. Instead, I feel satisfied that I have stayed within limits.

Long Term effective sleevers
chunkymunkey916 replied to Glimergirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved in 2012, and am currently working on getting revision to gastric bypass [emoji17] I was initially very successful and hit goal after 2 years. However... I had a baby in July 2015 and not only gained back my weight but went into such a deep depression I gained almost 100+pounds. Not typical of most sleevers but just sharing my personal story. I had my tubes tied and this time around I will be doing things BY THE BOOK! Good luck to you! -
Hey everyone! I've recently started doing pole fitness as exercise. Thing is, I have basically no upper body strength. And to do this awesomely, I need to build some. I have a gym membership and I lift weights. But I'm looking for something new to try. Any suggestions?

I've tried about every brand of shoe. My favorites are Under Armor trainers (mine are 5+ years old and still in good enough condition to go river running and hiking in), and my Mizuno shoes. Try to find a shoe store in your area that will asses your walking pattern and whether your pronate, supinate, or are neutral. Most over weight people have over pronation issues, meaning they land on the inside of their foot with their ankles leaning inward, if you look at past shoes and there is obvious wear to the inside of the sole, that's one sign you over pronate. If that's the case, you can seek out shoes made especially for the issue that cushion the landing to keep from causing more damage and stress on joints. A good shoe store will be able to provide you with a shoe that meets your needs and foot placement during steps. It was the best investment I made in buying a quality shoe that is going to last, and treat my feet right. I went to RunOn! but there may not be one near you, and they didn't charge for the assessment, plus their shoes were comparable to other stores prices.

I'll be 10 weeks post surgery on Monday. I'm unsure if the actual pounds lost to date as I shunned my scale, but I'm at least 2 sizes down on all of my clothes so I know I'm losing. I've never exercised "formally" in my life as I abhor it. But...I know that in order to maximize my weight loss and be as healthy as possible, I MUST start. I face several challenges in making time to exercise. First off, I have three small children; 2 in preschool, one in grade school. All three have homework which means Mommy & Daddy have homework! Secondly, I commute about an hour and 20 minutes one way to work every day. I literally live on one side of town and work on the other side, and work 8:30-5. Lastly, walking (the supposedly best way to ease into exercising) is off limits bc I have a completely torn ACL in my left knee. Physical therapist said no exercising that involves me picking up and putting down my foot!! I'm not really in a financial position right now to join a gym, and I can't see having the time to go anyway. I have a wonderful husband who does more than his share but our daily lives are jammed full from start to finish, and we already don't get enough sleep!! Help!!

Maybe try some mild arm exercise with hand weights- start with just 2-5lbs. Thas what I did after a total knee replacement. Good luck!
