I am a new banded woman. My surgery was on 9-1-11. Sorry to hear about the weight gain. I feel like I have made a life change in the way I eat. I think anyone that says weight loss surgery is an easy fix needs to be slapped upside the head. I am struggleing as well I will get my 2nd fill on 10-12-11 and am hoping to see more restriction. Keep your chin up its not to late to jump back on board.

Hi, it's been awhile. Recovery was hard and long. I actually gained 33 pounds over the summer. I was on my back the majority of the time so I guess weight gain was to be expected, but 33 pounds? I've been working on it - I have about 5lbs to go! I hope to be 200 by June (1st or the 30th - I don't really care)!
I'm blogging this one too. I hope to be on here more often these days. I'll be looking for you.

Thanks for the encouraging words and prayers. I am so proud of you for handling this pregnancy like a pro. Really no weight gain. That is wonderful. I like your name for a boy. Piper and Peyton sound good together. I will send you my e-mail on a private message. Thanks for sending me your diets. You are a wonderful friend. Hugs and Kisses. :)Amanda

Haven't dared to get on the scale since I have been eating and not wisely. Going to get my second fill on Sept 7th then I will know what my weight will be good or bad. Heck I got the lap band to restrict my in take of food and guess just got a bit disheartened when I didn't really feel any change. People that have had their sweet spot fill told me it will get a lot easier once I reach that spot and not to worry about things until then. Easier said then done! I am a food a holic so if I don't have restriction this is going to be a waste of time and money as well as the risk involved having it done and the scars....why don't I just get my act together is something I need to figure out! Up beat but still loving food too much! wink.... okay love / hate with food....love to eat it but hate the weight gain... blushing.....
Hope you are doing better then me! Hugs

Hi, sorry it took me so long to respond. As if the end of the school year isn't tough enough I went and had a total hip replacement. I?ve been in the hospital since the 18th. I?ve had complications, but am fine. I weighed in on the day of surgery & was down to 233!!! A few days later I weighed in at 245!!! The next day I weighed 240!!! Crazy right? The nurses say I?ve been getting tons of fluid ? & I have ? I had an IV running for about five days straight and then you get more saline during transfusions and I had four; add to that my new hip (about 1.5 ? 2lbs) and you get weight gain. I?m blogging this.
Anyway, I have not weighed myself in six days, so I don?t know what my weight is. I?ve not eaten much and was on a liquid diet for a while so my hope is that I am at least back in the 230?s ? even if it?s 239. Ok, that?s my story? What?s been up with you?

Hi! Everything is going really good on my end. I hope your morning sickness gets better in 2nd trimester. I've heard that happens for alot of gals. I'm 16 weeks today We got a doppler from a friend so we can listen to baby's heart beat when ever we want to. Its pretty cool. I think I would be showing if I wasn't so chubby I can tell because I can't sleep on my stomach anymore. I'm done with naps though and onto nesting. Getting the house ready for new baby is going to take some work. We have too much stuff and need hoarders to come help us! No weight gain yet, I'm down another 2 pounds in the last month. I'm walking at least a mile a day so I'm trying hard. Glad you are doing good other than the sickness blah throwing up totally stinks.
