    Sleeved on 1/17

Your on track. Just beware of the 3 week stall. It is real!
  2. Could be building muscle drinking all that protein and walking! 3 week stall? That kinda makes sense like the Week 2 rebound on biggest loser!

    Weight loss stall

Sleeved on 3-21. I too had the dreaded 3 week stall! I literally did throw away my scale!! Stomped out and tossed it right in the trash can. Lol. I went and bought a new scale....no difference. [emoji17]. I went a week and the scale started moving again. All is fine now! And....Although I don't recommend throwing away a scale....I do have a much cuter bathroom scale now. [emoji4]
  4. I recently had a 2/3 week stall. My doctor said it's good and part of the process because you can end up in hospital if you consistently lose weight so rapidly. I was sleeved about 9/10 weeks ago. Don't worry you will start losing again! I was so concerned at first also. I even bought a Fitbit to help with exercise [emoji30][emoji23]

    Grrrrrr!

I know, I know! Everyone goes through stalls and everyone posts about it..but......I'm eating 600 calories a day, doing light weights 2 times a week, but only for the last 2 weeks and getting 60 mins of cardio at least 3 times a week....and I am still at only 30 lbs lost. Actually, I just got on the scale a little bit ago and it says I gained a pound, WTH? So its only 29lbs. I am so frustrated. Even though I know its normal, its making me so discouraged. I'm making a conscious effort to eat one more meal a day since I was only eating 3 before, and still nothing. This has been going on since I was 3 weeks out. Im only a little over 6 weeks now. I lost 28lbs in 3 weeks and then 2 in 3 weeks. I barely eat any carbs, mostly chicken and cheese. The only "treat" I allow myself is frozen yogurt, but only a couple times a week. I keep waiting to pass this "3 week stall", but its not MOVING!

    Disappointed

I echo that you should be measuring inches. EVERY time the scale stops, I drop the inches. To be honest, I am happy when my scale stops because I get more compliments when those inches fall off. At my 3 week stall I put my scale away. I decided to weigh one a week. Somehow being able to let go let my body relax. I knew I was doing everything I was supposed to. But you also need to know almost everyone goes through this. When we wish we would have lost more or we think we have "earned" more loss. It gets us down, make us think what more we could do. Just know you aren't alone. Thus scale WILL move again and you already have accomplished more than ever before (I know you "lost" more in shorter time on HCG but that comes back, this is permanent) keep on keeping on!

    Disappointed

You hit the 3 week stall. It's very normal. I hit mine a little further out, but it's still the same. Your body needs time to catch up. My stall lasted 3 1/2 weeks. Don't get discouraged. Now's the time to take out the measuring tape and take measurements. I stalled from week 5 through week 9. I was 231 during the stall. I am 12 weeks now... I am 208... So no worries. You got it honey.
  8. It's not only possible. It's normal. Read the link in my sig. Many people experience the 3 week stall. It's nothing to worry about. It will pass.
  9. Thanks. I keep hearing about a 3 week stall but not this early. I don't want to have a 2 week AND a 3 week. I was liking dropping weight every day
  10. Sent from my iPhone Well done on losing those 12Ibs.. Loss is a loss no matter how much, have you been losing weight every week? Or have you perhaps been in the dreaded 3 week stall still??? I luckily only had a stall for 4 days and then the weight loss continued but a LOT of people hit a stall after 3 weeks, lasting up To 6 weeks.. But after that period the weight rapidly comes off apparently! I just focus on Protein protein protein, I have 6 little tiny meals per day and a protein shake! I don't excersize, I honestly don't have the energy. Keep your head up and make sure you're following your doctors meal recommendations. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    January 2012 Sleevers!

Has anyone else hit the "3 week stall"? I have! I lost 12lbs the first week, 3lbs the second week and the third week and I gained and lost the same 1lb all week! Irritating, but I'm doing exactly what I should be doing (700-ish calories, 60-70 protein, lots of water). Hopefully next week I start losing again!

    January 2012 Sleevers!

I think it is. Search for 3 week stall and there are a few discussions on it. And yes, it really sucks! :-(

    Stalls:(

You'll know because over the course of the next week you should see regular weight loss. For many, this is the time when the weight just falls off, excluding the 3 week stall. As far as "how much", that's gonna depend on alot of factors. There is no set or normal amount. But you will see loss.
  14. So after I lost all the water weight from surgery, I lost 10lbs- all by week 1.5. Now? Nothing. I'm just past my 2 week mark now. Did I get the infamous 3 week stall early? Also sick of feeling kinda crappy multiple times per day. And who has time to eat 8x per day?? And do they really expect it to take 1/2 hour + to eat 2oz of food?? Very frustrated.
  15. Just came off 3 week stall and have dropped 4lbs in 4 days...the last few weeks played havoc on my mind but should of known eventually it has to come off ....eating right and moving so just have to be patient

I am 6 weeks out and stalled!

    January 2018 Sleevers HERE

There’s really no such thing as a 3 week stall. My dietitian told me I shouldn’t even look at the scale until 3 months out. I don’t own a scale & never have so that makes it easy. I was sleeved on January 18th.

So far so good. I do an Adkins right after my coffee (15g) then a Premier shake around lunch (30g) and I drink a Protein Water (20) between lunch and supper. Getting all the protein and water in is like a job I'm tracking everything on the MyPlate app. Friday my schedule (provided by my surgeon and NUT) said I could have mashed potatoes, but my body said 'nope'. So I'm sticking to my cream of chicken and canned Soups. I've had homestyle chicken noodle and had a little bit of the noodles and carrots...but they are so soft it's easy to smash them on the roof of my mouth. Any deviation of my schedule makes it hard to stay on track to get my protein and water in, so I'm trying to be vigilant. AND I think I may be going through the dreaded 3 week stall. Since Friday I gained 2.5lbs...but I haven't even eaten that many calories since my surgery so I don't even know how that's possible. I blame the mashed potatoes, I swear that's what I imagine a cleanse to be like. Who knows, maybe I'm retaining Fluid ('cause I DID suck on some sunflower seeds - my salt cravings are crazy. I sort of feel wasteful not eating the seeds, but I'm terrified after the mashed potato debacle). Nonetheless I'm gonna keep trucking. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. No preop diet. Just liquids the day before surgery. Put in 10lbs of fluid weight while in the hospital. These first 2 month no working out just normal day life and walking around work or stores. I have been in. 3 week stall so I got a personal trainer at my gym and now go 4-5 times a week. I still struggle to get in my protein of 70-90 grams and all my fluids. Once I figure that piece out I hope the needle starts moving down again.

So i have the 3 week stall ugh

I'm going on day 13 of my 3 week stall. *sigh*.
  21. Ok guys..... (Ive posted this on OH) but decided to post it here as well.... The inevitable happened. Got on the scale this morning, not only am I "stalled" I guess. I am up 3 LBS! LOL How the heck does that happen?? When you work out at least 4 days a week and consume less than 700 calories per day. I must add that I was sleeved on 9-15-09 and have lost 30 lbs, well, 27 since I gained 3 lbs back. I see posts about this ALL the time but gosh, until it happens to you.....you really dont know what it feels like! Also. TOM is usually between the 12th and 15th of the month, so that could be why im retaining.........This really sucks!!!! Just venting. Help, I knew it would happen, just didnt know how horrible I would feel when I did. Thanks for listening!:001_tongue:

    Stall...for how long?

Don't fret. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was sleeved on 12/14/10 and right around the first of the year I hit my stall. 10 days with nothing and I was freaking out. But the scale finally started to move and I have been steadily moving since then. DO NOT WORRY. It will start up again. Everyone on here said there is a dreaded 3 week stall. Just keep doing what you are supposed to do and it will start up again. I'm down 44 pounds since pre surgery diet on Dec 1. Lisa

    Encouragment

I am right there with you!! I was sleeved on 2/16/12. And on my 12th day post op, I was down 16lbs. And my scale and been going up and down 1-2 lbs...but basically staying put!!! I know I am retaining water...so I TRY to drink more, but it seems like the more I drink the more I retain!! I have really been pushing the protien too... but nothing is making a diffrence!! It is very frustrating and completely discourging!! I was so worried about the "3 week stall" and was crushed when mine became a 2 week stall!!! Totally not good for my cofidence and esteem!! I am praying this hump is over quickly!!!

Stalled at only 2 weeks post-op

I hit my 3 week stall at 2 1/2 weeks. It's normal. It'll break and you'll lose weight again. Just stick to your plan and watch for the non scale victories. Those are a huge help.

    one month post op

I've just come through a 3 week stall..it isn't fun! At surgery 119 kg First 2 week Post op 116 .. by 6 weeks it was 112 kg then a stall Of 3 weeks so frustrating ( it was only the fact that clothes were getting looser that stopped me having a melt down!!) Weigh in yesterday 111kg So hopefully??! I wonder how much age is a factor ( I'm 66) plus I loss about 15 kg in the year prior to surgery) Just trying to plod on and stay sane ( or sane-ish!) Good luck
