Stage 2B is what my NUT is calling it. Basically I can have ricotta/string cheese (skim), yogurts, broths, and chicken breast (moist). Not on to purée yet but I find it weird that I can have chicken Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I eat oikos triple zero, my Nut recommended not exceeding 5 grams .. but yogurt always has more, so its understandable.

Greek yogurt, unsweetened cashew milk, 2% milk (I also make some of my own yogurt), berries (I put them on top of plain or vanilla yogurt), Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt (I sometimes eat this as a low-cal snack at night, since it's only 80 calories and has 12 g of protein), boneless chicken breasts, pork chops, herbal tea, Crystal Light (I drink it plain and mix it with fruity protein powders), fresh veggies

Its definitely a mental thing for me I was sleeved on 10/12/16 and I was so hurt when I came home I thought the surgery would take away my desire for food completely however it actually made me realize I had a real problem with food. I never noticed how much I consumed since I struggled with weight my whole life. My parents always made us finish our plates before we got up. And I do the same to my children what they didnt eat I would cuz I couldn't stand the thought if wasting food or throwing it away... After surgery I was chewing up food and spitting it out. Food was everywhere, TV commercials, fliers, fast food restaurants on every corner or billboard I just couldn't focus... Long story short preparation works keep a lunch box with the right things such as yogurt, string cheese, boiled eggs, turkey, Peanut Butter, Jerky, slim jims, ect whatever is healthy that u can tolerate set alarms on your phone to eat nd drink every couple of hours so u dont get hungry nd find something else to focus on reading or exercise work for Me. When I'm going to the gym regularly I dont won't to mess up all my hard work by eating poorly. It does get better but we all have to do our Part our surgery's are not cure alls but helping tools. I buy the same things every week, though I sometimes eat what the rest of the family is having for dinner. 1/2 gallon Cashew milk (8 servings) 25 calories in 8oz 1pint of 2% cottage cheese (4servings) 1quart full fat Greek yogurt. (6 servings) 2 tins of sardines in oil ( 1serving each) high in lysine 1can of tuna (2 servings) 1 pint green super food raw juice (4 servings) 2 chicken breasts (4-6 servings) 1large avocado (4 servings) I have at least one shake a day, I have another in the evening if I haven't meet my Protein goal. I use unflavored powder and make shakes with cashew milk or 4 oz of raw juice and a hand full of ice. My goal is at least 100 grams of protein and no more that 25 grams of carbs. I eat 5 meals a day. I make all the food for the week at once because I divide my time between two homes and don't have time to cook during my work days. I can't handle raw veggies yet but I do fine dice onions and pickles I to my spreads. I poach the chicken in canned chicken broth and use one chicken breast to make a pot of Soup and make chicken salad with the other one. I don't restrict fat, except that with the small total volume I don't get a huge amount. I use full fat mayo in my tuna salad and chicken salad. I have 4-6 crackers (1/2 of a "serving" 8 grams of carbs) a few times a week. Usually I melt cheese on parchment into disks and use them like crackers. 2oz of shredded cheese makes 6 "crackers".

I'm not familiar with Yogurt land but I know the frozen yogurt places near me usually offer a sugar free flavor option and usually fresh fruit as a topping. I would check out their website and see if you can get some details before you go, if you plan ahead as to what you can have it will help to avoid temptation, at least I find that works best for me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Congratulations on the 65lbs you have lost. Sounds like you are at a plateau, need to change what you are eating. Eat more Protein and less carbs. Try and weigh yourself once a week since your weight does fluctuate daily, so you don't get frustrated. Maybe you can look up some protein Snacks like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, etc they will keep you fuller longer. I am sure this group could give some ideas for healthy choices for a college student always on the run. Not sure how active meaning exercise, but might need to do a little more. Definitely check in with your nutritionist. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

I'm wondering if any of you have had frozen yogurt since surgery. It may sound dumb but im not sure of the sugar content in frozen yogurt. Maybe there's certain flavors I can and can't have? I'm taking my kids to yogurtland tomorrow and I'm hoping there's something I can have! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Ok, so I think I have this same issue, 5 days out. Just a small amount of drink or yogurt and I can almost set a timer for when it hits the top of my stomach, resulting in a crampy feeling that's distressing as it is uncomfortable. I've found that breathing deeply a few breathes after swallowing greatly relieved this condition. I hope this helps others. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

You can put some crystal light in it.I also use sugar free syrups. In coffee section at walmart.Mio.I use these in greek yogurt too. -
Omg! I haven't been experimenting just yet. I am getting Water in finally! I have a 20 oz. cup that I keep all day and I always keep it filled. By the end of the day I have drunk over 60 oz of water. I also do crystal light so that I'm not drinking plain all day, so after I drink 20 oz of plain water, I fill my cup up with 20 oz of crystal light. How did you make your tuna? I want to try it but scared that it will not taste right. All I eat now is yogurt and mashed potatoes. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

1 Month out... My surgery was Dec 1st. I was 263, I am almost 5'2". After surgery the first 3 weeks i was in severe pain. My only issue was pain. I could tolerate the shakes, Vitamins, Water, Soups, all the necessary requirements. I never suffered from nausea nor have i vomited once. Every Now and again i get the stuck feeling but nothing serious. Just pain... I had catscans ave several test which were all normal. I may have pulled an abdominal muscle is the only culprit my doctors had. Today i can't stand Protein Shakes. And honestly my diet is not right. I have progressed to soft foods... Mainly fish which i can eat a few ounces with no problem. I think actually all i eat is fish cheese and greek yogurt. I can stomach Isopure but it takes all day to get through. I miss most... salad. I can't wait for raw veggies. I stalled from week 3-4 with no change in weight... And that was also christmas where i tasted pinches of all wrong things while visiting family. Total lost thus far 23 lbs... i am 240... And its been forever. I notice the weight lost in my face, mainly my cheeks. My guy rubbed my back and said it was easier for him to rub... Not as wide. MEN#. I can tell my upper body has lost some fat but not really noticeable in clothes yet, i have a little room in my thighs in some of my tight pants but not yet at a place of buying smaller clothes. Hormones... 1st i've been a lil aroused. I haven't really been in about 6 or more months. The big change... So far i'm late and i have been on schedule most of my life so this is a new phenomenon. No feeling of blues or regret. Wish everybody health and success!

So everyone says my main focus should be consuming a certain amount of protein and water. Well I find myself not getting enough of either so I started making my protein shakes stronger like 60 grams in one shake so i could reach my protein goal but this ended up mounting to 380 calories in one drink. Is that a bad thing? The break down is 8oz fair life milk (13g protein 80 calories) 1 scoop whey protein powder ( 30g protein 180 calories) 1 frozen triple zero greek yogurt (15g protein 120 calories) blended into one drink...

I remember eating a lot of refried beans and pureed omelet. Also a lot of Greek yogurt and pureed cottage cheese.

Quark isn't quite the same as yogurt, but it's similar. It's actually considered a cheese. I've had it occasionally. I think it's supposed to be more nutritious than yogurt. some of the sugar in yogurt is just milk sugar (lactose), which is even in plain yogurt (or in milk), so I just worried about it if it seemed really high in sugar or had the word "sugar" in the ingredient list. I eat Fage, Chobani, and Dannon Fit & Light, mostly - although I've had Dannon Oikos and that's good, too

So I found this yogurt at target today and it really appealed to me because it was the only yogurt I could find with an acceptable amount of sugar which is a gram because it is sweetened with stevia. My physician said anything above four grams of sugar was not something I should consume. Has anyone else heard anything about it? What kind of yogurt do you eat? Hi! I'm only day 5 post op but have a question... When you make your protein drink it's at least 8 oz right? Is this a meal replacement for you or a snack in addition to your meals? Confused on how someone said they can take a Greek yogurt and glass of Oj with genpro in morning.. Wouldn't that be too much for stomach?? Thanks for your insight Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App Hi! I put one scoop of Genepro (30 gram protein equiv) in about a quarter cup of OJ. So overall very little volume. I take it almost like a shot glass of alcohol. At first I had to take smaller sips. I also have a standard serving of Greek yogourt and my multivitamins in the morning with it. Hope that clarifies! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thanks for that, that makes sense. I was thinking you did 8oz of oj. Gonna try genpro, doing unjury now and I can taste it Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

Is anyone experiencing foamies? I am 3 weeks post surgery. Anytime I eat anything besides yogurt or apple sauce I have way too much salvia that makes me get sick. I am eating very slowly and this happens after 2-3 super small bites. I can't seem to get much in. I also have a tightness in my chest when I eat ( even 2-3 bites) Anyone know how to prevent foamies/ slimies or what the chest pain is about? Happy new year Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@barcelona37 my nut said I would have to continue with the protein shakes but I know there are some high protein veg foods like seitan. At this point I'm only 4 days out of surgery but I am committed to staying vegan whatever it takes. I brought a couple of protein powder individual packs to the hospital and my blender bottle as I wasn't sure they would have anything for me. I'm glad I did as they tried to serve me yogurt and ensure for my first protein meal. The hospital didn't even have soy milk to blend my powder with but water worked ok.

Unflavored protein
Destiny Vavrosky replied to snimmon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can mix Protein in anything. My friend mixed it in her Greek yogurt. Just be careful when mixing it with hot foods. Anything over 140 changes the textures of the Proteins Sent from my LG-D850 using the BariatricPal App
