Since I work in the medical field and I am looking for a new job I went to try on some new work scrubs today. Last year before I had my surgery I was wearing a 5X top and a 4X pants. Today when I went to try one some new ones I am sown to an XL pant and top. I think I could get into the L but it would be a little snug sitting down and do not want my junk showing. I have already given most of my old clothes to the homeless shelter here in Des Moines. Feels great.

So... I have had about 4 NSVs in the last week.... Last night I went to the Grand Lux Cafe.. When we were taken to our BOOTH, I just slid right in and my tummy didn't touch the table!!!! (I almost cried!! My best friend was smiling so hard I thought she was gonna have a coronary!!) On Saturday, I was sitting on my sofa and without thinking and much effort.... I crossed my legs!!!!! Comfortably!!! My bariatric center has a yearly celebration of life dinner/dance.. It's tomorrow.. and I haven't been able to wear heels for 2/3 years (and I have over 20 pairs).... anyway, I was like..let me just try these on and see if I can walk in them... Well, I tried on a pair of black 2 inch, brown 3 inch, silver and a few others... I walked around in them for a while without pain, stumbling or anything!!!! Finally, due to a back injury and left side nerve damage, I've walked w/ a very noticeable limp... I happened to look at myself walking down the hall at school today... and it's almost gone!!! This is the best NSV I've had to date!!!! Stay encouraged guys and appreciate every step of this journey to wellness, wholeness and the revelation of a new and improved you!!!

This is a great NSV that we all experience. I wish the fat would come off my lower abdominal area toooooooo!

It's mind boggling when I put on a pair of slacks that fit snug and they are much looser!
I love my NSV's. Just had to share.
Oh and my husband even notices.

Kayte, I hope I join you on that nsv. I am also a chocoholic. I would love to not think of sweets.

For the past couple nights I have been awakened because my knees hurt. Last night I suddenly realized they hurt because there is no fat cushion between them when I sleep on my side & the bones are pressing against each other. LOL. Wish the fact was coming off my stomach, but I'll take it.

Before surgery I was a candy JUNKIE. I would frequently not eat all day then eat an ENTIRE bag (like most by for Halloween) in one sitting. Gross, right?! So I saw a post on here from someone who said they ate one lindt truffle every night & I thought to myself "what a great idea!" So my husband bought some & I couldn't wait to have one. My plan was to have one a couple hours after my dinner. So, I ate a pretty standard snack of strawberries & when we were getting in bed my husband asked if I'd enjoyed my treat. And HOLY S@*#BALLS!! I'd FORGOTTEN to eat it!!! Jazz shocked! So I decided to enjoy it the next night & I FORGOT AGAIN!!!!! This would have been unheard of 6 weeks ago...I would have looked forward to eating the whole bag all day. Unbelievable! Yaaaaaay!!

Remember this, we didn't gain it overnight, we wont lose it overnight. How many diets have we tried, without equal success, for months only to go back to our normal eating habits out of anger/depression? The sleeve is a tool that aids us in making healthier choices daily. We will be way healthier in the long run. Remember to track the NSVs (non scale victories) and the weight will come off as long as you are doing what you should [:

Awesome NSV!! I hope I have some of my own soon! -
This past Saturday I went shopping for dresses for my two flower girls for my wedding in July. Their mother and grandmother hadn't seen me in a few months and the second they saw me, they started raving about how good I looked. The girls' mother even said "Your stomach is so flat!" I have never in my entire life been told that! That'll definitely keep me going to lose these last 30 pounds!

I got my last fill (a total of 2.75 ccs in a 4 cc band on February 27th). This morning actually just now, I had a crustless quiche (which is 1/4 of a pie plate about a cup total) it has eggs (duh) deli ham, swiss cheese and onions and yesterday I probably could've eaten more. Today right now at this moment if you put another slice in front of me I'd probably push it in your face and make you eat it (in a loving way though, because I love you whoever you are). So, yesterday when I was thinking "boy I don't feel restriction" to this morning of "holy crap I'm full" is a big differnce. So, the lesson is to you noobs and veterans out there, don't get discouraged, sometimes there is a delayed reaction for me it's approximately 8-9 days after a fill. I'm going to keep track of this next month as well. Actually to think about it last night I had some homemade general tso's tofu, broccoli and brown rice, ate the whole thing, and the rest of the night had a pain in my shoulder and left side maybe that was a signal to stop eating, and trust me I didn't eat for the rest of the night, just a glass of water to clear out my pouch (IDK why I do this but I've been doing it lately lol). I was a bad girl and didn't go to the gym yesterday, it was only for weights so I will do my weights tonight after c25k (grrr). Oh and some NSV this weekend: Didn't eat my whole meal the times we went out to dinner Fit into pants I didn't fit into in September Realized that my bra straps that go around me don't hitch up and chafe my side parts, they actually lay nice and flat now I don't buy junk food when I grocery shop and I grab a water out of the cooler at the supermarket and drink it while I shop (don't worry I pay for it!) I can wrap a regular towel around my body when I get out of the shower (even though there's some side boobage showing Also, whereas I thought I had some good luck yesterday turned out to be bad luck. I was looking at a vending machine near my office that has "healthy options" aka a 100 grand bar (really is that healthy???) and I see on the machine that there's a credit for $1.00 so I'm like "hey, pay it forward, right?" so I pick a granola bar (Nature Valley) OMG I looked at the nutritional info and almost died! I could've had a candy bar instead! I usually have a Kashi TLC granola bar thing right before I get out of work to hold me over between then and the gym (for some reason I'm starving late in the afternoon) I'll have this for a snack but never again! WTH do they put in that stuff? Anyway lovelies, have a wonderful day and if anyone is paying attention only 17 days until I leave for Key West!

Hello ladies! In one week, I will have a fill! I find myself counting down to it, just like I was counting down to surgery! Did I mention I can eat like I did before too?! AAAAGH! I did have a fabulous NSV today, though...was finally able to buy some Alex and Ani bracelets, as they no longer look ridiculous on my fat (no longer as fat) wrists! I got one for each 5 lbs I lost...which came out to 4 bracelets...and I'll be due for a new one soon!!

1 Month Post Op Today, Will When This Stall End?!
Neese replied to traceyc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had my surgery 1/31 and I hit my stall at 2-2 1/2 weeks and it lasted for 3 weeks and I dropped two pounds and like u my clothes were/are getting looser. Don't let the scale dictate your journey--focus on the positives! I hate when I read that but it's SO true. I've been much happier since I've focused on NSVs. You're strong and you're doing fine. enjoy the journey!! -

We are our own worst enemy at times. Awesome NSV! -
A major NSV!! I was having a conversation with one of my friends who stopped in the middle of her sentenced and said "OMG!", I said "what?", she said "when did you start crossing your legs?". I did it and didn't even realize it. I've NEVER been able to cross my legs. I'm loving my sleeve. Blessings2u--BJ

Ok so I started exercising last night, I have a trainer and all. Now this morning when I went to the gym. I had packed my gym bag with some size 16 jean Capri pants that didn't fit me until last week. So after my workout I went to go shower and saw what clothes i packed myself. I freaked out. I kept thinking to myself as I showered OH my god what if the pants don't fit me? What if when I wore then the week before it was a fluke and now that I washed then again maybe the drier shrank them. I literally tortured myself for until it was time to get the pants on. Guess what they still fit and they were actually looser. I can't believe I tortured myself mentally like that. I guess I still can't believe that I am sleeved and its working
