I don't know if this qualifies as an NSV but, I've been frustrated with the scale for 2 months now, it hasn't budged. But in the past week several people, including my TRX trainer, have commented that I look like I'm losing weight, and a pair of pants that are usually snug on me felt loose. The scale still hasn't budged but maybe the TRX is starting to pay off with a change in body structure, as I've been doing it steadily now for about a month and a half, also I started running in the past 3 weeks. They always say that when your scale is giving you problems to look to your measurements instead for possible changes. yay!

I can't even tell you all how beyond excited I am for this It's been making me crazy trying not to go crazy announcing it before the voting time actually started haha. Sooooo I follow Shelly, aka the world according to eggface, blog. Well a couple years back she was a grand prize winner in the Progresso Souper You contest. Well she posted about it a few months back, encouraging people to enter. Well I did and GUESS WHAT! I was picked as a finalist!! WOW! Crazy right? This time last year, I was laid up in bed, in pain, miserable and 115 lbs heavier than I am today at just over a year post op. The 3 grand prize winners get an amazing trip to LA, a full makeover, cash cards, clothing cards, and the best part?! Tickets to the finale of the Biggest Loser. PLEASE, please, please go vote for me. You can vote daily from today through March 25th. I would appreciate it so much! You can either search Progresso Souper You to find the site or use this link http://www.souperyou.com/Finalists.aspx And so you know who to vote for...look for this picture of me holding up my formerly tight size 20 pants Thank you

My jeans are to big already! And I went to Walmart...just looking around in the clothes to see what's out there for when I need to buy a few staples...and I found this really cute black and white printed maxi dress in a size 22/24...only one they had. So I bought it. Came home, tried it on..just to see how much more I needed to lose for it to fit...and holy balls it fits!!!!! Have to wear a smoothing garment under it...but it fits!!!! -

6 Days Post-Op And Have Nsv's Already!
Liberated Sleeve posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weighed 222 on surgery day - so during surgery and the 2 days in the hospital the IV fluids managed to allow me to gain 6 lbs. Lost 4 of them in days 3 and 4 post op - days 4 and 5 have not seen the scale move. But I'm sure I am not done yet! NSV's - 1) Have not taken any diabetes medications since two days before surgery (I was on 3) 2) Have not taken any high blood pressure medications since one day before surgery (I was on 2) Pretty sure the high blood pressure medications are done. Not sure if the diabetes medications are gone forever, but my numbers are really good and I do believe that once I start eating real food again and exercising at a deeper level, those medications are history too!! Those were two of the main reasons I had the surgery in the first place so it is already winning BIG in my humble opinion!!- 9 replies
