    I Bought A Bike

Last time I tried to ride a bike was unpleasant. I felt re-donkulous, little bike, big person. My husband had bought a "big girl seat" for me which made things slightly less uncomfortable. However, I noticed the bike tires looked flat. I got off to check and they were not flat, just flattened by my weight. Good times... I hope that I will once again be able to ride bikes with my kiddos after surgery (fast approaching). Anyhow, congratulations, guess this is an nsv, yes?

Yep... what they said! You look great! Ful of confidence and happy! Fab NSV =]
  4. So today, I'm in mandatory benefits meeting.. and I find out that my job is changing health insurance providers.. Well, I'm looking through the paperwork and I see that the plan that's comparable to my current insurance has an exclusion for any type of bariatric surgery!!! Well, let's just say that I started smiling and Thanking God that I had my surgery in Dec!!!.... I'm so glad I decided not to wait until this summer... Also, I had a birthday dinner Saturday night and my sister thought my plate as my 2 year old niece's plate!! LOL... That made me smile!!!
  5. I'm a SAHM with 4 kids & more days than I'd care to admit I wear drawstring yoga pants. Despite my loss, my jeans do not fit any looser, but today I put on some yoga pants & tossed my phone in the pocket, as I do everyday but they keep sliding down....the "weight" of my phone is pulling my pants down! I've had to pull them up 100 times today! Idk why but this thrills me My surgery day weight was 316. Today I weigh 269. The significance of this number is I haven't weighed under 270 since before I got pregnant with my 4.5yo son so that means it has been 5 years since I've weighed this little I love my sleeve! So exciting!

    How Is Everyone?

So far no downs, other than a few plateaus. I have a bad inner ear infection, and I'm on horse pills. I'm cutting them in half, but hoping I don't experience my first stuck episode. No super exciting NSVs yet. I'm down to a 16/18 from a 22? I wasn't so excited about this because I was a 16/18 March of last year >_< Family and friends who know are super proud of me, and being awesome. I am lucky to have a good little support group. How are you doing??

    Mini-Goal Met!

You look fabulous! I know that we still need to continue to lose and work on losing, but we also need to enjoy where we are right now. You tucked in your shirt and wore a belt, and you looked great! That is an awesome NSV. There is no need to worry about a little extra up front. Think of how far you came and Celebrate that success! I don't mean to suggest you aren't celebrating your success. I just think we can all use the reminder (I know I can) to be happy with what we've accomplished and not always focus on what still needs work when we are out socializing.

  17. A much needed topic! Not bad for recent NSVs; *I did my first fun run yesterday * I bought, and fit in a pair of uk 10 (us size 6) jeans - ok so they are stretchy ones, but still... * My neighbor of 9 years saw me at a work do, and after talking for 10 minutes finally realised who I was (her mum tells me she got home and asked " what happened to Claire???") lol * My DH and I had a major fall out yesterday (not good), about a female colleague of his who stalks after him Grr, HOWEVER when we calmed down enough to talk, he apologised, and said he thought I'd know she could never mean anything to me, because he has never looked at anyone else, and thought I might believe in myself now I have achieved such a personal transformation! *I have a photo of my daughter and I, in which I look THIN, seriously, wtf? Not even average, thin! Never expected that in a million years!! I totally <3 my sleeve xx
  18. Congrats everybody!! I think this is a good idea, i've noticed that a lot of people seems down recently as well. My most recent NSV was this weekend. I went to my old school and I saw a few people who haven't seen me since before I lost any weight (down 105 now) and they didn't recognize me! That was pretty cool for me
  19. Two great NSVs - one: my dietician told me I was by far the most successful sleeve patient he's ever seen. 92% of my excess weight now lost!

  20. Two great NSVs - one: my dietician told me I was by far the most successful sleeve patient he's ever seen. 92% of my excess weight now lost! Two: ran my first (and maybe last) 5K yesterday and clocked a respectable 38 minutes. :)

  22. I'm looking through the topics today, and it seems like a lot of people are having some tough days lately. I thought maybe we all could take a moment to look at the happiness that our sleeve's have brought us. For me, my energy is through the roof. Well maybe not right at this instant, but I can sustain energy much longer and do SO much more on the weekends. How about you? Share something that has made you so proud of yourself lately?

    Great Day!

Gbatman! Have a great trip to Florida! You have earned this in more ways than one. This is a great NSV. Your grand children see you as a role model and want to have loads of fun with you. Keep Rockin!

    Great Day!

That's a really great feeling! I've found a lot more energy to start remodeling our cabin. It's going to be a challenge.......... Love these NSV's.
  25. A little background - my husband and business partners own a marina and resort here in east Texas. It is 175 acres, and we run around on the property on Kubota vehicles (like tiny pickups). I hadn't been around on the property much since before my surgery - last spring I didn't feel like it right after my surgery - and was really busy on the weekends (I had a full time job that kept me away from the property 12 hours a day). So this spring, things have changed work wise, and I have been running around with my husband over the property. One of our customers came up to us today and said to us "I'm going to tell your wife about this good looking woman you are running around with". I think he was kidding - but it made me feel great to be mistaken as "the other woman", and to be thought good looking enough and thin enough to be "the other woman". THis happen to anyone else after goal? Be mistaken for someone else totally?
