Awesome NSV!!! I bet all of us ladies remember the day we realized our boobs stuck out further than our tummy's I was sooo happy when this happened!
-
I had this NSV the other day too! I was AMAZED!
-
Um... kinda weird NSV... as I was walking my trak outside, about 5 different men tried waving hello at me, and even a few stopped in their tracks so I could go by. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a very happily married woman - but that's one ego boost right there!!

I am eating healthier and I only desire good carbs and high protein foods. This is a great improvement for me, because protein was not my thing prior to surgery. Also, I had family visit yesterday, and they questioned me about my age, they wanted to be sure, I said 42. They said you look really good, I looking even younger since surgery. Loving my sleeve, can eat but just enough, feels good.

Oh, I'd be counting that as an NSV and a SV!! You're doing great. Keep on rocking that sleeve!

The NSVs keep me going especially when the scale isn't moving. As LilMissDiva says, I don't wear a scale around my neck! People see the clothes you wear, not the number on the scale!!

fantastic NSV and yes these are the things and motivate us

The SkinnyCow73 Cute One, with your stomach and drawer, i can totally relate. is it "legal"if it i jump in with my NSV too? When I came home from the hospital 12-15-11 - i called my mom, after WLS i came home losing about 2 lbs. - my mom said to me - ok, - now look, are your underwear too big on you? i just thought that was funny. Guess what they are most definitely big on me now. kathy

I've been kinda down about my slow weightloss but, I just realized in 4 more lbs I will have lost 30 lbs and that seems like a lot to me. 6 more lbs and I will no longer be obese and in (drum roll please) 7 more lbs I will be halfway to my goal! Yay! Not there yet but, I'm getting there.

congrats that is a great NSV

Ha! Ha! As I am sitting here at my desk (constantly fidgeting making sure "everything" is tucked in, covered and looks appropriate) I realized something..... my stomach isnt sticking out further than my boobies anymore! I dont know when this happened but woooohooooo anyway!! It might be raining in Houston today but not on this NSV parade! It's definitely the little things that keep me going!! LOL

Stick to your plan and be patient. Look for the NSVs and make sure you are taking your measurements. I lost my first size while I was in my first stall. Good luck!!

My weight loss has slowed down, but it is still happening. I know that I lost very quickly to start with and then it has just seemed to creep along...a pound at a time. But, the changes in my body once I slowed down have been phenomenal! I've lost 3 sizes in the last month and developed muscles in places that never had muscle before. Stick to your plan, 70 grams of Protein and 64 oz of Water. The weight will come off. You have to realize this is not a sprint; it's a marathon. If you follow the plan and add exercise as you're able to do it, the weight will come off. Take some measurements now, and measure yourself regularly. Watch those inches come off even if the weight loss is at a stand still. Look for the NSV's. Can you do more? Cross your legs? Climb a flight of stairs without being winded? All of these things will point to your improved health. Most of all, be patient and enjoy the journey. You will get there!

Proud, Embarrassed Or Horrified?
wishes replied to Queen of Crop's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Proud. I experience more days where I am just embarrassed, but every time I have an NSV I know that I am proud of my decision to make my life and health better one day at a time. I wouldn't appreciate what I have if I didn't see the rock bottom first. -

LOL The dreaded evil pantyhose! Haha! I hear ya! Great Nsv! -
Life is fun and fab these days!! I am well into the wonderland club. 194!! I am running and feeling good with my size 12 skirt from NY & co skirt I wore today. Anyway, my sister was initiated into my sorority today. And that requires me to wear the dreaded evil pantyhose. Well!!! I purchased regular stockings. I did not have to play the 45 minute wiggle game only to get them half way up my butt! I slide them on with easy no busting out or huge run when I try to sit down. . In the past, that sound that pantyhose produce when you are walking makes me feel like I'm gonna start a forest fire. (guys! It's comparable to nails on a chalkboard)

I went to go look at sundresses, something I have never felt comfortable doing. My son's wedding is coming up shortly and the girls are getting together for a brunch. I asked an attendent at Penney's where is the plus sizes, upstairs or down and she said "for you?" I said, yes mamm, she said "you are definitely not a plus size". I was like um , yes mamm I am, but she begged to differ with me. I did not try anything on because frankly I did not see anything I really liked, but that experience was so weird. It felt good but strange it was like a dream or something. I am not saying or really even beleive that I am not a plus size but for someone else to question that I am not was something I have never experienced. I have always been big, heavy , fat , oversized, plus, you name it and for someone to say I am not was sooooooooo weird. Good but weird.

Good for you!!!!! Those NSV's will save you over and over when you are down. Daily it seems like we are not moving but overtime the inches melt even if you do not realize quite yet on the scale. Your rockin' it...lol -
Two Nsv's In One Weekend....wow!

I am just so over joyed today. I was feeling a lil down for about the past few weeks because my scale had been stalled for so long. ( this really bummed me out almost to the point where I just wanted to give up). Everybody on this site and a few people I know that have been sleeved have been so supportive and letting me know the scale will move again. My boyfriend who has been my biggest supporter keeps on telling babe you looking smaller every week. (I thought he was just saying that because that's my man). However, on Friday night my neighbor up the street asked hey girl are you loosing weight, I replied yeah a little bit, she say good for you you are looking good you look so nice . i said thank you very much ( and was all smiles inside). So this morning I decided to try on these jeggins I bought two years ago that I thought were my size, but when I got home with them I could not put them on and I refused to take them back and get a larger size. Yayyyyy me they fit! I am feeling real good about being sleeved now.... Going to sit back do what I am suppose to do follow my dr's orders and ROCK MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!! -
My favorite NSV so far! This past Friday, I went to pick up my son from daycare, & the owner told me how great u looked & told me to throw away the jeans I was wearing because they were sooo floppy! Her exact words, "Those jeans are beating you up, PLEEZ throw them away!" Add that to being able to wrap in a towel after my shower & my chinny chin chin going away and I'm feeling GREAT!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

BIG NSV for me today!! I started at 24/26 in pants and I'm down to XL or 16/18 in tops, but the shorts/pants just weren't getting there because of the tummy. My work out shorts were getting too big, but didn't seem like they were big enough to drop a size yet. But, this morning I tried on one of the two pair I bought on clearance a couple of weeks ago... and I'm disappointed because the smaller size of the two fits me. I'll never get to wear the bigger one. Oh, yeah... the old shorts were 2x. The new ones are XL, not 1x. Guys don't get it, but the gals here will for sure!
