    My 1St Nsv!

Ha! Ha! As I am sitting here at my desk (constantly fidgeting making sure "everything" is tucked in, covered and looks appropriate) I realized something..... my stomach isnt sticking out further than my boobies anymore! I dont know when this happened but woooohooooo anyway!! It might be raining in Houston today but not on this NSV parade! It's definitely the little things that keep me going!! LOL

    Stall

Stick to your plan and be patient. Look for the NSVs and make sure you are taking your measurements. I lost my first size while I was in my first stall. Good luck!!

    Weight Loss Slow

My weight loss has slowed down, but it is still happening. I know that I lost very quickly to start with and then it has just seemed to creep along...a pound at a time. But, the changes in my body once I slowed down have been phenomenal! I've lost 3 sizes in the last month and developed muscles in places that never had muscle before. Stick to your plan, 70 grams of Protein and 64 oz of Water. The weight will come off. You have to realize this is not a sprint; it's a marathon. If you follow the plan and add exercise as you're able to do it, the weight will come off. Take some measurements now, and measure yourself regularly. Watch those inches come off even if the weight loss is at a stand still. Look for the NSV's. Can you do more? Cross your legs? Climb a flight of stairs without being winded? All of these things will point to your improved health. Most of all, be patient and enjoy the journey. You will get there!

I Didnt Start A Fire! Nsv

Omg, I love this! It reminds me of rubbing two metal nail files together! Way to go! Awesome nsv, and way to rock that sz 12 skirt!
  5. Proud. I experience more days where I am just embarrassed, but every time I have an NSV I know that I am proud of my decision to make my life and health better one day at a time. I wouldn't appreciate what I have if I didn't see the rock bottom first.

I Didnt Start A Fire! Nsv

LOL The dreaded evil pantyhose! Haha! I hear ya! Great Nsv!
  7. Life is fun and fab these days!! I am well into the wonderland club. 194!! I am running and feeling good with my size 12 skirt from NY & co skirt I wore today. Anyway, my sister was initiated into my sorority today. And that requires me to wear the dreaded evil pantyhose. Well!!! I purchased regular stockings. I did not have to play the 45 minute wiggle game only to get them half way up my butt! I slide them on with easy no busting out or huge run when I try to sit down. . In the past, that sound that pantyhose produce when you are walking makes me feel like I'm gonna start a forest fire. (guys! It's comparable to nails on a chalkboard)

    Nsv At Jcp

WOW!! Awesome NSV!!! Keep up the good work!!!
  10. I went to go look at sundresses, something I have never felt comfortable doing. My son's wedding is coming up shortly and the girls are getting together for a brunch. I asked an attendent at Penney's where is the plus sizes, upstairs or down and she said "for you?" I said, yes mamm, she said "you are definitely not a plus size". I was like um , yes mamm I am, but she begged to differ with me. I did not try anything on because frankly I did not see anything I really liked, but that experience was so weird. It felt good but strange it was like a dream or something. I am not saying or really even beleive that I am not a plus size but for someone else to question that I am not was something I have never experienced. I have always been big, heavy , fat , oversized, plus, you name it and for someone to say I am not was sooooooooo weird. Good but weird.

    Two Nsv's In One Weekend....wow!

Good for you!!!!! Those NSV's will save you over and over when you are down. Daily it seems like we are not moving but overtime the inches melt even if you do not realize quite yet on the scale. Your rockin' it...lol
  12. I am just so over joyed today. I was feeling a lil down for about the past few weeks because my scale had been stalled for so long. ( this really bummed me out almost to the point where I just wanted to give up). Everybody on this site and a few people I know that have been sleeved have been so supportive and letting me know the scale will move again. My boyfriend who has been my biggest supporter keeps on telling babe you looking smaller every week. (I thought he was just saying that because that's my man). However, on Friday night my neighbor up the street asked hey girl are you loosing weight, I replied yeah a little bit, she say good for you you are looking good you look so nice . i said thank you very much ( and was all smiles inside). So this morning I decided to try on these jeggins I bought two years ago that I thought were my size, but when I got home with them I could not put them on and I refused to take them back and get a larger size. Yayyyyy me they fit! I am feeling real good about being sleeved now.... Going to sit back do what I am suppose to do follow my dr's orders and ROCK MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!

    NSV shout outs

My favorite NSV so far! This past Friday, I went to pick up my son from daycare, & the owner told me how great u looked & told me to throw away the jeans I was wearing because they were sooo floppy! Her exact words, "Those jeans are beating you up, PLEEZ throw them away!" Add that to being able to wrap in a towel after my shower & my chinny chin chin going away and I'm feeling GREAT!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    NSV shout outs

BIG NSV for me today!! I started at 24/26 in pants and I'm down to XL or 16/18 in tops, but the shorts/pants just weren't getting there because of the tummy. My work out shorts were getting too big, but didn't seem like they were big enough to drop a size yet. But, this morning I tried on one of the two pair I bought on clearance a couple of weeks ago... and I'm disappointed because the smaller size of the two fits me. I'll never get to wear the bigger one. Oh, yeah... the old shorts were 2x. The new ones are XL, not 1x. Guys don't get it, but the gals here will for sure!

    So Surprised!

Amen to that I can't wait until that day plus size clothing can be super pricey depending on where you go not to mention bras 50 bucks a pop..congrats on your NSV!!!!
  16. I hope you feel better. Sometimes gas rises up to your chest and will cause major discomformt .. i know this for a fact because my cousin had the exact same symptoms .. so yes it is normal and it will go away. I strongly recommend you walk longer and more frequently to help with this pain. You are still only 3 days out and everyone deals with the outcome of the surgery differently. Never eat and drink at the same time because it will cause you severe discomfort. Don't worry all the pain will go away and you will be having NSV's which will make you glad you've done the surgery Good luck !
  17. Its worth every single second of it People talk about the surgery being "life changing" and its very true .. People talk about how happy they are because they are achieving NSV's which is really cool too.. But you need to know that VSG is also a "life saving" procedure. I was on the verge of being a diabetic and have major heart disease but all of that disappeared with VSG. Good luck

Surgery? Overall Summary. Yes Or No?

Yes definitely would do it again even after my complication and second surgery.... NSV today actually bought a size 12 jeans...I swear the tag must be wrong. I started at sixe 24 when I started my pre-op diet last Octoer. I have not worn a size 12 (if it is true) in over 25 years...... My loss has really slowed down, but that is okay for now. I am hoping my hair loss will slow down too. smiles everyone

    Another Clothing Nsv!

    LOVE LOVE LOVE that NSV!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Silly But Awesome Nsv

That's a great NSV! I experienced the same thing when attending an NBA basketball game - it was so nice not having to shove my huge a$@ into the seat. One downfall of the weight loss though - I actually notice my tailbone getting a little achy if sitting in a hard seat for too long. Not enough padding. I'll take it though!!
  21. Went to costco today and they had Kenneth Cole dress pants on sale for $20, and Gloria Vanderbilt jeans for $12.99! I bought a size 14 and size 12 in the jeans, and one pair of black pants - I decided to buy size 12 since I have a couple pairs of 16s I can still wear with a belt . . . I figured I'd have to keep the black pants for a while before they would fit. For fun, I tried them on - and they FIT!!! They are just a wee bit snug, but not too bad . . . I'm so excited! The jeans are cut a little different as the 14s fit perfectly right now, but I'm hoping to be into the 12s soon. Now I'm almost thinking I should go back and pick up a pair of the dress pants in a 10 . . . OMG. I can't believe I might be in a size 10 soon!!! I don't think I've worn a size 10 since junior high!!!!! Happy dance!!!

    January Surgery Bandsters Group

By the way, I went into Lane Bryant yesterday (I couldn't resist) of all the places getting I'm getting smaller it's my least favorite area. Let just say I've lost a couple cup sizes!! But just out of curiosity I tried on the straight leg jeans in a size 14 oh my gosh they went on and buttoned right up.. A little snug but I would have worn them with pride! That's 2-3 sizes smaller per-surgery I could wear 18's but 20's felt better in jeans.. Love those NSV's

    Where Are You 200+Er's?

I'm here, a measley 3 days post-op. Feeling about the same as I did right after band surgery, but with slightly different sensations. This surgery has, knock on wood, been very easy so far - except for an extremely painful allergic reaction to an unknown med(s). One of my incisions is super puckered, like a button tuft. It has completely changed the shape of my stomach. That one hurts a lot. I don't really even notice the others (6 total). Surgery was Tue. morning, I was discharged Wed, spent a few hours early Thu morning in the ER (allergic reaction), but spent the majority of Thu evening out & about, and was out shopping for about 5 hours today. Moving very slowly, though. I don't know what my losses are. My NSV to date is getting rid of the pain from that allergic reaction. Still schlupping around in empire waist dresses (because they don't have waistbands) and flipflops (because button tuck incision makes me walk slightly hunched over, and how stupid would that be with heels), looking about as whiskey tango as I possibly can. Although "easy" this process is a little frustrating. I lived with my lapband so long that I knew its signals and symptoms. Now I don't know what these sensations are telling me. It's kind of hard to be the "noob" again, not yet able to interpret what my body is telling me.
