Hello, my name is Susan. I have not had my first fill yet. We have the same doc. Could u pls tell me what it is like getting a fill at Dr. Smiths office in Ft Worth? I go on 9/19/11 and am a little scared.

My name is Lisa. I am a 44 year old mother of 2. My daughters name is Jewel she is 19 and my sons name is Sean and he just turned 18. I am married to a wonderful man and his name is Jamie. I am a Phlebotomist at our local county hospital. I have been a Phleb for almost 5 years. I enjoy my job. I was banded on August 22nd. So far so good. Just some minor hiccups but easily gotten over. I feel this is one of the better lifetime decisions I have made and have high hopes this will increase my quality of life if I work hard.

Your doing great! Keep up the good work! Your doing wayyyy better than I am! How many cc do you have? I have 4cc and ive only lost 10-13 pounds...it changes daily...keep in touch!

Well, I'm banded! I went in yesterday at 9:45. I was supposed to get banded at 11:30 but hey took me in early - 10:15. I was home by 1:00! Al and all, it wasn't too bad. They only pain I have now is my incision where my port is. Other than that - so far so good!!!

Hi Bardy! Congrats on all of your weight loss!! I can't wait for the day I can rejoice for being in a size 10! Hope you get those little complications ironed out..but glad you're doing much better! Take care, love! =D

Hi, I am scheduled for the lapband surgery Oct 31st 2011 and I am currently on my pre-op diet and it sucks. anyone else had trouble with the pre-op diet? mine is 10 days.

I am having LBS on the 10 th of August 2011. I am on my 3 Rd day of liquids and it's going fine. I am worried about the people who only loose 5 pounds or even 50 pounds I really want to loose all my weight.

I got stuck at 10 lbs too! That's when I cheated! Ha! Just stick to it and increase your water... drink as much as you possibly can today, it will help flush out your system.

I've been banded since 12/1/10

I havent been here for a while but I'm good. Banded 12/3/10 and have lost 20lbs, so I guess I'm on my way.

Went today for my monthly checkup and I am down 10 pounds!! YEAH!! I weighed in at 188!! whoo hoo!! I celebrated by going to get a size 14 jeans! LOL

Hello to all , well I went to my surgeon and the dietician yesterday and got the rest of my lab work done, I was a little disappointed, the nurse wants me to lose 10-15 more pounds before next month, My therapist appt is friday 15th. I dread that. after that all my papers will be sent to the insurance.

Hi. Although I was banded 4 years ago, I am new to this site. I lost 89 lb and have gained 10 back, so I am considering going for a fill. I have not seen the band doc for 15 months!. Would love to hear from anyone who has had their band for awhile and how they are doing. My endocrinologist said that there is no evidence for bands past 5 years. ?? I've been gone for about 6 months and I come back.... and Junebugs is gone!!! wehre is everyone??? HOW is everyone. I had major back surger 12/10/10 and lost my way due to being completely unfilled for 4 months... but I'm back and I am RESTRICTED!! Ha ha... loving it! No complaints here!!!

Hi Dee, You asked on my blog how long I've had my band and how I'm doing.

I've had my band since 10/16/2008 and I have lost 87 pounds. I love my band and I know if I followed the rules better I would have a larger weight loss. I have been excersing and I think I am losing inches but I have been stuck in the same area for a bout 3 months now. I haven't been to my dr. since Dec but I have an appt and hope to have atleast a 1 cc fill on Wednesday. I hope to get the weight loss moving again soon!!

Hi, good to hear from you. I have been on the preop diet for 5 days now. I hate it, but I know I have to do it. I had my preop testing on Tuesday and I see my primary care phys on the 20th for my final surgery clearance. Also met with a group at my surgeon's office yesterday and they explained to everyone what to expect. It was actually nice to meet others in my area who are going through the same thing too. I can not believe how close it is to our surgery date, the 27th is only 10 days from tomorrow!

Ok it's been 10 months and down 61lbs and wish it was more!

I have only had 3 feels going friday for feel number 4 hope to have a good one..Ready to see some different numbers!! If anyone has a diet plan they are sticking to please e-mail me @ audylyn@msn.com...I hope to hear from someone soon...Good luck to all ...xoxoAudy

Thanks "Living My Dream".......I've only lost 10 pounds since surgery March 23rd But, I'll have my first fill on the 20th of April and hoping it helps curb my "food desires".
